Lucas was surprised to see an item that entered the exchange platform suddenly.

[Old bandit] wants to sell a [Evil portal device]

Evil portal device [Level 4]:- A device that opens a portal to an evil world for an hour. During the hour, the evil spirit beasts can come out and at the same time, people from the firmament can also enter the evil world. The strongest evil spirit beast will have a strength of rank 4.

'Huh? There is really such a device.'

Lucas thought about how the weapons pavilion was able to open an evil portal and finally understood the reason.

'It was because of this device they opened the portal.'

Lucas had thought about something as he looked at the [Evil portal device] and muttered, 'Should I buy it?'

Lucas only knew one method to increase the grade of his family and it was by killing as many evil spirit beasts as possible.

Initially, he had a small doubt regarding whether the Heavens would recognize their effort or not; however, it was cleared when he was blessed with a rank.

With that thought in his mind, Lucas clicked on the seller name and a chat window appeared in front of him.

Before he could send any message, the seller [Old bandit] asked Lucas.

How could Lucas think of buying an item when he didn't have anything to exchange?

He already thought of using the Dark ember fruit he got from the Viscount grounds, to buy the item he wanted.

[Dark ember fruit? How many do you have and how many do you want to exchange?]

There was a delay in the reply from the [Old bandit] as he asked Lucas about the quantity of the fruits.

[I have 10 Dark ember fruits and I want to use five fruits to exchange with you]

Even though Lucas had around 100 Dark ember fruits, he lied without any hesitation to reduce the price for the item because he decided not to spend more than 10 dark ember fruits for the exchange.

[10? Good. I can exchange the device for all 10 dark ember fruits]

The old bandit seemed to be satisfied with the quantity that Lucas possessed and asked all of them to exchange the device.

'As expected of his name [Old bandit], he will go for all the fruits in my possession.'

Lucas had already expected this kind of behaviour from the seller; however, he didn't give in for the price.

Instead, he replied [6 fruits]

[Damn it…how can you compare the device with the fruits? I am already magnanimous to do trade with all the fruits you have in your possession.]

The [Old bandit] cursed Lucas as he tried to reason with Lucas.

[6 fruits and if you don't like them, I will go and buy something else.]

Even though Lucas knew 10 dark ember fruits are not a high price for the device, he didn't want to waste the dark ember fruits.

Even if the dark ember fruits lose their effect on him, he could always give them to his family members which would only grow continuously. So, he tried to save as many dark ember fruits from the trade.

The [Old bandit] took some time before decreasing his price a little.

[8 Dark ember fruits and it is final]

Lucas tried to analyse the mentality of the seller and decided to increase his buying price by two fruits.

He was sure that the [Old bandit] would not make a fuss about it and calmly sell it to him.

[Deal]

Without much surprise, the [Old bandit] was more than happy to sell the evil portal device for 8 dark ember fruits.

'Ding,

          Eight dark ember fruits are sent to the [Old bandit] through the exchange platform.

'Ding,

        The host received a level 3 evil portal device from [Old bandit]. It is stored in the inventory.

Just when Lucas was thinking about how to send the dark ember fruits to the seller, the system took care of those things and saved him some time.

'Ding,

        The host used his single chance to buy from the exchange platform. Please wait at least a month before buying any item from the exchange platform.

'One month will pass by in a flash.'

Lucas was not worried much about it as he knew a month was not too long to wait.

'I think I know why I was able to buy the device so easily.'

Since there were other system hosts who could use the exchange platform, Lucas felt he got the device so easily as though no other system hosts wanted to buy it.

And the reason was that all the system hosts knew that they had to wait for a month to buy something from the platform and what if a good item unexpectedly shows up after they bought the evil portal device.

In their view, an evil portal device was not worth wasting their single chance to buy in a month.

'Anyway, I still have a chance to sell something.'

Lucas remembered his privileges for the level 1 [Exchange platform]. So, without thinking much, he posted the item he wanted to sell.

[Lonewolf] wants to sell [Dark ember fruit]

Remarks:- Any talent crystals, pill recipes, recovery cultivation techniques for knight and assassin professions.

Unlike most of the advertisements on the exchange platform, he even added the remarks and made it clear to others what he wants in return.

'I think I can check the device until someone responds to my advertisement.'

With that thought in his head, Lucas summoned the device he bought earlier.

'This thing can open an evil portal?'

Lucas was surprised to see it was a small orb around the size of a quail egg.

          Do you want to activate the [Evil portal device]?
