Chapter 483 – “She will need to figure that out on her own.” (3)
Qin Ruhai, “… …”
The heck!
As the messenger, he was not respected at all!
On the other side, the Zhang family in Capital City.
Mother Gu, failed to get any money from Gu Wushuang, finally turned to her Big Brother Zhang Sheng again.
Zhang Sheng pulled out the transfer of share agreement that he had the lawyer drafted in advance and bought all of her shares at 1.2x the market value.
Mother Gu was not an idiot. Once she had transferred over all of her shares, she would not receive any more dividends in the future.
Zhang Sheng showed her the mathematics. He listed out the dividend amounts for the last few years and compared and contrasted for her what it would be if it was put in a saving account in the bank or, alternatively, she could buy houses with them and be able to earn some money that way.
After looking at the numbers, Mother Gu waivered.
Partly because she needed money right now and partly because she had learned that the stock price of the company that Gu Jiangxin had spent most of his life on had plummeted. She realized that there was no guarantee in managing a company.
After weighting all the pros and cons, she asked for addition two-story house within the Second Ring Road and finally agreed to the transfer of her share of stocks.
This was probably the best option for her.
She would spend ? of her assets in the development of her pre-school, half of them in investment in the housing market, and the remaining cash saved in the bank.
Her Big Brother was right. She had enough to support her for the rest of her life with just the interest and returns from her housing investment.
“Big Brother, I want to take a trip to City Shun.”
Now that she had received her portion of the inheritance, her little bank filled, and her feeling more secured than any other time, Mother Gu was in a good mood and was much friendlier toward her Big Brother.
Zhang Sheng, on the other hand, had been much colder to her than any other time.
His little sister insisted on her own ways. He brought her back home to back her but all she ever thought about was herself. She had barely been back for three months when she brought up splitting up the assets.
She had disappointed him greatly.
He used to think of her as being foolish; now he found her stupid and selfish.
With Zhang Sheng not saying anything, Mother Gu only assumed that he didn’t like to talk much and didn’t think much of it.
“Big Brother, I have been thinking the last few days. You and sister-in-law were right. Wushuang hadn’t been very caring toward me lately. I think I should take a trip back. It is easy for a child to forget about their mother when their mother isn’t around.”
Zhang Sheng didn’t even want to respond to that. He only grunted to acknowledge that he heard her.
Even Chen Yunping, close by, was speechless.
From an outsider’s perspective, she had returned to her maiden family, cried, got a bunch of inheritance, then took off when she was satisfied.
As soon as she took off, crazy gossips would be all over the capital city!
With nothing better to do, rich housewives loved gossiping about topics like this.
Mother Gu didn’t feel that there was anything wrong about her logics.
Everybody had been telling her how unfilial her daughter had been. But that was only because she had been too far away from her daughter.
Once she got back and be around every day, her daughter would have plenty of opportunity to be filial to her!
Besides, this had been bothering her more and more the last few days.
She dreamed about Wushuang refusing to take care of her when she got old and just left her there by herself in capital city!
She would not be able to quell her worries until she returned to City Shun!
She needed to go back to find out what had been going on with Wushuang.
“Big Brother, why don’t you book me a ticket?”
Mother Gu finally spoke what was on her mind after her spiel.
Even Chen Yunping couldn’t help but rolled her eyes.
Zhang Sheng frowned and was just to say something when he was stopped by Chen Yunping.
