Star Citizen Online: Isekai Edition

Chapter 42: One Threat After Another

"We should probably hurry back to the Imperial Space..."

There were a few reasons behind his decision to hurry back into the Imperial Space of the Eternal Imperium of Asurya. Obviously, the most notable one was that among the Star Systems that were to be attacked by the Orks was also the Ryloth Star System, as it seemed.

Another thing was that the Eternal Imperium of the Asurya was his home, and at the same time, it was also his shield from the utter chaos that reigned in the entire known Universe. To be able to hide behind the mantle of the Type 3 Civilization was a powerful thing.

And the last thing was obviously the reward he could obtain from passing such information to the Imperial Military.

"Teleport me back to the ship, destroy this space hulk, and then move with full speed towards the Rylon Star System."

Arcturus commanded the Red Queen Alice because now there was no time to spare.

Rylon Star System, Alaric Star Domain, Ruusor Star Sector, Frontier Star Segment, Chronus Expanse

When the Obscurus was put into the full-speed flight, it didn't take long to arrive back at the Rylon Star System. Arcturus wasn't often using the full power of the engines of the Obsurus because it was literarily burning money.

Fuel into the starships like Obscurus was very expensive and when the engines were going at their full speed, the fuel was being used faster than it could be replaced.

Though for now, it was indeed a particular situation when he needed to deliver the message as soon as possible because it was uncertain when the Orks would strike. While it was evident that the Eternal Imperium of Asurya would defeat them easily, the Greenskin incursion would still cause tremendous damage to the Imperial Worlds and economy.

With the full speed, he was back at the Rylon Star System within ten hours or so...

However, the difference compared to before was that the entire Rylon Star System was currently swarming with the spaceships bearing the sigils of the Eternal Imperium of the Arurya.

And something was telling him that they were not here due to the Greenskins because the lineup that was present would be enough to obliterate most of the type 2 civilizations in mere hours.

This certainly wasn't any welcoming cometee for the Greenskins that one was he certain with.

'Alice, could you find out what this is about?'

Arcturus asked as his ship got into the line because all incoming spaceships were being right now scanned thoroughly by the Imperial Patrols. The security was extremely strict when he noticed that there were at least several thousand vessels of the various classes in the entire Rylon Star System.

And some of them were totally humongous, reaching a length of more than twenty kilometers.

<There is an announcement about the critical situation in the Ruusor Star Sector because the entire Sector is right now preparing for the invasion of the Mind Flayers.>

Hearing that, Arcturs wanted to faint on the spot because he escaped one problem and entered another one. Mind Flayers were another type of scourge that he wanted for the time being to avoid completely as they were too dangerous for the current him.

<The government has even issued several missions regarding this to all Star Mercenaries and Bounty Hunters of the Asuryani origin that are operating near the Ruusor Star Sector to join the defense of the Star Sector against the Mind Flayers.>

This was rather a rare occasion because the government of the Imperium didn't really trust anyone who was not part of their species or their own Military. Though, at the same time, even now, they were asking only those who were Asuryani.

There was no way that they would trust anyone else to defend their own territory, though the situation must have been rather bad when the government decided on this approach.

However, at the same time, Arcturus realized that this wasn't the standard Imperial Fleet of the Eternal Imperium, but rather a combination of the Border Fleets with the private Fleets of the Nobility of the Eternal Imperium.

The Nobles of the Eternal Imperium of Asurya were obliged to come to the defense of the nation if they were called. It was one of the strictest responsibilities that they were given, though, considering their status and privileges, it was a small price.

Yet, they were required to stand at the helm of every single threat that could endanger the territories of the Imperium. Within the Eternal Imperium of the Asurya, being awarded the Noble Title was probably the biggest honor one could achieve, especially if it was a Hereditary one.

However, hereditary titles were rare because, for that, one needed to create a completely unique and powerful Genetic Bloodline Lineage that could be passed down to the descendants and, in turn, strengthen the entire Imperium by such a thing.

That was the reason why only the Asuryani Highborne were able to rise into the ranks of the nobility: their genes were much stronger than those of the average Asuryani specimen and were more prone to evolution.

When Arctrurus looked through the window, he saw several Noble Houses of the entire Star Domain, though there were also many Houses from the different Star Domains and from the entire Frontier Star Segment.

War of such extent was the best way to increase their power because they could obtain resources from the killed Mind Flayers by either capturing their ship, technology, loot, or anything else.

There was no forgetting of the contribution that one could make during such war, so even the people who were not directly obliged to rush to the Alaric Star Domain to defend it against the Mind Flayers also participated in this endeavor.

When Obscurus was scanned as well against the potential Mind Flayer infiltrators, because their kind was very adept at that, he was allowed to deck at the Starfort Lycurgos. Contrary to the last time he was here, nowadays, the entire Starfort was bustling with people.

There were tens of thousands of people at the port, all of them wearing mostly military uniforms or any other type of combat gear. Another common trait that all of them shared was that they were of all of the Asuryani heritage.

Though, not entirely, because Arcturus also saw there many space dwarves, as he liked to call them. Even despite their small stature, the Votanns were fierce warriors who were physically even stronger than average Asuryani.

Fighting and battling were some of the fundamental aspects of the Votann culture, aside from blacksmithing, engineering, and building things.

'I should go to the Grandmaster Byrmellir; he had connections to the General in charge of the Lycurgos and should be able to pass the information to him more easily, and that way, I will have my merit secured...'

Arcturus disembarked from the Obscurus, while he also instructed Red Queen to go into the Starlight Drive Yard Industries to pay off the debts personally and buy new things. She would use one of the ABD-Spectre MK Battle Droids as the intermediaries for the task because many people in the known universe used the Droids for such purposes.

He then headed directly to the Dojo that belonged to the Arsit Byrmellir while passing through the overcrowded streets of the Starfort Lycurgos until he finally arrived at his destination, which was the lone and quiet Dojo.

Similar to before, even right now, it was empty without a single living soul, aside from the Grandmaster Byrmellir, who was meditating in the zen garden of the Dojo. When he entered, Grandmaster Byrlmellir opened his eyes slowly because Arcturus was, in fact, one of the very few people who were visiting his Dojo.

This was also something that Arcturus found strange, as not many people were visiting it here, considering how martial the society of the Asuryani was.

"You have chosen the best time to return to the Starfort."

The elderly Asuryani Highborne said as he motioned for him to sit down. Arcturus sat down across the Grandmaster Artis Byrmellir as he passed him a tiny data bank that was created by the Red Queen when they were traveling back to the Rylon Star System.

"When I was returning back to the Rylon Star System, I had an encounter with Greenskins on the borders of the Imperial Space... everything is recorded within the data bank that I passed to you."

Hearing that being said, the elderly Asuryani Highborne Grandmaster took the data bank and quickly scanned its content. For a second, Arcturus could swear that the temperature in the room had dropped significantly, but soon enough, everything returned back to normal.

"I will bring this to the Bashar-General Varathar Medes, who is in charge of the defense of the entire Frontier Star Segment. You have done a great service to the Imperium by passing this information to the Imperium."

Grandmaster Byrmellir stated gravely while he looked at Arcturus because the contribution that he made to the defenses of the Frontier Star Segment was especially significant this time.
