Damn it, is it that impossible to kill all of them?

Fortunately, the newly-respawned human-head fireballs were greatly reduced in prowess. It takes only one hit to kill them now. Thus, Lu Chen spent just a few minutes to kill all of them and brought his Mastery Points up to 327 points.

Then, Lu Chen looked into the dark, quiet night and thought. He didn’t go out right away and instead, gave a command in his mind.

System, level up Barbarian Blood Warrior.

[System Message: Host used 300 Mastery Points and leveled up Barbarian Blood Warrior to Level 3.]

[Barbarian Blood Warrior leveled up. Constitution +1, Strength +1.]

[System Message: Under the influence of Barbarian King’s Bloodline, leveling Barbarian Blood Warrior has given: Vigor +1.]

As of now, Lu Chen has 32 Strength, 46 Constitution, and 27 Vigor.

After the level-up, Lu Chen drank a whole jar of herbal soup. The herbal soup was digested and warm energy flowed into every part of his body. He felt an incredible strength filling in his body.

Right now, I’m in my peak state.

Just like that, Lu Chen strode out of the border and walked toward the dark silent night.

After he left the totem pillar’s protection, Lu Chen didn’t go far and stood still with his eyes closed. He immersed his senses and reached out to his surroundings.

Intuition was the link between one’s sixth sense and his surroundings. Hence, Lu Chen’s plan was to connect with his surroundings for the information he needs.

However, Lu Chen opened his eyes after a long time and smiled wryly. He couldn’t feel anything.

Sigh, my Intuition is too low in rank. Perhaps, I can only connect to my surroundings at will when it’s in rank B or A.

But it’s still good enough now. Although I cannot sense the dangers before they happen, it’s not that easy for anyone to try and ambush me.

With the thought in mind, Lu Chen walked staunchly forward with the metal sword and oil lamp in his hands.

But he didn’t go far. Lu Chen restricted his activities to only 500-meters away from the village as this would allow him to return to the village quickly when he finds himself in danger.

However, Lu Chen suddenly stopped when he was 300-meters away from the village.

It has gotten cold. Not only that, but a mist has risen.

It was naturally colder in the night, so it seemed reasonable to feel cold.

But one must not forget Lu Chen has 46 points of Constitution. This means he would have high resistance and survivability in extreme conditions, he wouldn’t even feel much cold at zero degrees temperature.

Yet now, he was feeling cold which was not making sense, not to mention the sudden mist that came out of nowhere. All of these suggested that it was not normal.

Just when Lu Chen was comprehending the situation, a silhouette flashed past before him in the mist.

“Who’s that!”

Lu Chen’s attention was instantly drawn away by the silhouette.

However, after closely inspecting his surroundings, Lu Chen realized there was no one around him.

Illusions? No, it’s impossible. My senses won’t go wrong. Furthermore, the palpitation in my mind, the Intuition is alerting me for something.

Right now, Lu Chen knew the mist was not normal and the silhouette was also most likely an Evil.

However, even when he knows about it, he wasn’t walking away but started searching in the mist instead.

After all, Lu Chen didn’t come out here for fun or to run away from the Evils. In fact, he was out here for the Evils. Hence, Lu Chen naturally wouldn’t walk away when he bumps into an Evil.

But after a long search, Lu Chen still didn’t find anything in the mist. He has no choice but to take a rest.

What’s up with this Evil?

Why isn’t it making a move?

He frowned and thought, he didn’t move and when he looked up again, his eyes abruptly squinted.

While he was looking down and turning the cogs in his head, a silhouette was formed in front of him in the mist.

However, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t see the silhouette clearly.

That didn’t make Lu Chen back down and instead, he strode forward in big steps toward the silhouette.

“Come on, Evil, come fight me!”

Lu Chen knows his own fortes and weaknesses very well. He wasn’t dumb, but he sure wasn’t brilliantly smart either. At the same time, his knowledge of the Evils was not sophisticated either.

Hence, he knew he wouldn’t take any advantage in a tactical fight with the Evils.

Although he wasn’t brilliantly smart, Lu Chen was not without advantages. His strength, body, and Vigor were his fortes and they empowered Lu Chen the ability to tank through any hardcore head-on battle.

Hence, Lu Chen didn’t plan to play the Evil’s games and chose a straightforward battle.

However, not all Evils like it that way even when he wanted it.

After a few steps, Lu Chen realized the distance between him and the silhouette remained the same.

The silhouette remained unmoving while he was walking toward it, but the gap between them wasn’t closing at all.

Lu Chen had no choice but to stop. He thought for a moment and suddenly, turned his back against the silhouette in the mist.

Lu Chen didn’t do anything and waited for a second before turning back to look again.

As he looked back, Lu Chen’s pupils shrunk and he immediately raised the metal sword in his hands.

He couldn’t be blamed for the big reaction. After all, what he saw when he turned around was the silhouette suddenly appeared standing just ten-meters away from him.

Although Lu Chen didn’t stare at the Evil when he turned around, he had his attention on it. But he didn’t even realize how or when has the Evil moved. That was a little too horrifying.

Usually, the normies would find themselves running in fear in this situation, but Lu Chen was not one of them. He didn’t feel fear but only grew more confident.

I’m right.

This Evil will only materialize when no one is watching, this is how it catches up to its victims quickly. But once it’s been stared down at, it wouldn’t move a single inch.

In just a short time, Lu Chen found the Evil’s traits.

Of course, the reason he was able to find it so easily wasn’t because he was smart but because he was strong enough to minimize the dangers around him. Which was why he was able to remain calm and figure out the Evil’s traits.

Otherwise, the ordinary barbarians would’ve fled the moment they saw the silhouette in the mist.

After all, that seemed to be the only reasonable course of action as not all barbarians have the audacity and prowess to face the Evils.

However, as fantastical the world was, a type of Evil was born to take advantage of this. At the moment the barbarians turned around and made a run, the Evil would quickly materialize behind them on their back.

Hence, the barbarians would never be able to run out of the mist and would be killed by the silhouette before they knew.

Lu Chen’s prowess gave him the strength to face the Evil fearlessly and so he was able to discover the Evil’s power. In fact, one would have a better chance of surviving to face the Evil than to run.

One could only say, life was full of wonders.

At the moment Lu Chen found out the Evil’s weakness, he has completely gotten rid of the thought of running.

As long as I turn my head around, you’ll come to me yourself, is that it? Very well, come on then!

As he thought, Lu Chen was ready to turn back around to let the Evil come closer to him.

But just when he was about to turn around, he felt a chill traveling down his spine.

He looked at the silhouette in front of him and noticed that it didn’t move at all. Immediately, he quickly turned back around.

What he saw this time shook his heart in cold.

There’s one more behind me!
