Temporal Pearls

Chapter 89: You Have Left Living Roots!

The liquid gave Seth an itchy feeling on the skin but nothing he couldn't handle.

After he wore his clothes, he was guided where his blood was taken, his hair, skin, urine and faeces and others. After so many procedures, he was taken back to the office.

"Thank you for the cooperation!" The man in blue said. He then handed Seth the Smart Paper he had been holding. In it were all medical data compiled, his and his family information.

Seth himself was surprised as some of the things written on the paper were new to him. Such as his Grandfather was once called a Bear Hunter.

"That is your identification papers. Do not lose them because some checkpoints will demand you to present them!"

Seth nodded and waited to see if there was anything. He heard that in these kinds of places until one was asked to leave then they should stay until they were told to leave.

More minutes and a recruit came, "Sir, you requested special bracelets?"

"Yes, cadet! Please help Mr Seth here wear them!"

"Okay, sir!" The new police stood before Seth and asked him to extend his hands forward and then the cadet brought black bracelets and put them on Seth's both hands.

"You are good to go, now!" The man in Blue said.

Seth returned to his car and sat there staring at the smart paper. He wasn't reading it, actually, he was reigning over his emotions.

After calming down he looked at the bracelets, they are Smart Cuffs. By any chance he did anything that was deemed negative, then from anywhere, the police can use them to monitor him and also activate them if they required him to be bound in place.

Usually, they were given to people that have criminal acts but the court allowed them to travel around for some reason.

Since Seth was going to Silver House, it was written in Smart Paper that the family has free reign over the cuffs.

"Let's go back home!"

<Affirmative!>

The car made a U-turn and began to speed but then Seth shook his head and changed his mind.

"We… go to Silva House!"

<Orders Complied!>

The car made a careful U-turn and went toward Silva's house. What disturbed Seth was that the Shirt he wore had short sleeves and people would see him as a criminal.

In 10 minutes he was in the mansion. The first time he was here, he was amazed by its beauty but now he can't help to view that the house was owned by distorted humans that feed on the decline and suffering of others.

It was the Bunker Truck and Sir Mathew's actions that instilled Seth to view those that called themselves Class A as such.

A drone flew and floated before Seth's car window, he showed his Smart Paper and the drone went back and the gate opened.

He was late, as his colleagues were already wandering around with papers as they took notes of some flowers around.

Seth grabbed his jotter and walked out to start the assignment.

The moment his car left the Class A area the cuffs turned off. Seth drove back home and dumped the damn paper before Anna in her office and sauntered to his room.

The young lady sighed as she read through the paper with a frown, "She said he will not be subjected to this!" Anna muttered before she fished out her phone and called Lady Manuella but upon ringing, Anna lost the idea of how to notify Manuella but then she cut it off.

They shouldn't be too demanding right? By virtue of being Seth's teacher, they didn't fall completely.

"It's high time for him to know how the real world operates!" Anna concluded but then she shook her head. Seth has been through so much in just a short time. So she walked to his room to calm him down.

*****

Because of his nature, Seth has been sheltered since when he was a baby. He might know some things about the world but not everything, not this kind of disparity of treatment of upper class and lower class.

Sling!

As Seth dived into the game Seth was still thinking about yesterday.

"Just by being in Class A area I was branded as Pseudo-criminal and now I have no secrets of my own until I was no longer going to that damn house. Fuck. Why do we have to rise higher? Why shouldn't we be content with what we have? If we are content, we wouldn't have to keep up with this shit?" Seth cursed.

He calmed down with a sigh and looked at his surroundings with wonder.

"What the fuck happened here?" Seth's eyes popped out in shock as he looked at his surroundings, his so-called Mansion.

Seth was now sitting on a chair that had soft cushions and well-carved wood edges. Before him was a wide table made of ebony wood that was smooth and clean. Place on it was a book with a name on it.

~Roots Village~

The hall of the Mansion was the same but the wall was pristine as if plastered with cement. The simple windows and doors he made have improved. The non-existence roof also appeared.

Seth opened the book, it has a single piece of paper with some information written.

[As a Fake Village Chief you can't improve one Item of your Fake Village continuously without consideration]

[Improvement denied]

"Haha, that was awesome!" But then it occurred to him that getting the points was not going to be that easy but he can do it.

Seth ran his hand on the Cloak and it gave him the feeling of touching a coarse leaf but very thick and soft without making any sound. He wore it.

Seth looked down and he found himself floating above the ground.

"That was the attribute of Graviton. But it wasn't showing in the notifications!"

Seth then closed his eyes and then he flat down and touched the ground. He jumped around the hall, he felt light like a feather. Then he ran out.

The surroundings of the house have changed. The walls were more pristine than how he made them. The roof was made of tile-roof material. His cottage too has improved. The place he marked as the garden has flowers growing.

Seth went to his cottage and said, "Improve!"

Immediately the broken planks began to arrange themselves until it was back to normal and even improved better.

[Improve more to merge it with Chief Mansion]

Seth has no more points but also he doesn't have time to acquire more so, he grabbed his Staff of Elevation and ran, he was finally going to leave the damn forest.

If possible he will never come back. But then he stopped and called the Cloak attribute, he signed. He must come back.

The cloak can only give him 30 minutes of protection and he needs 3 hours of Cool down.

"The game has changed me. I no longer feel it was just a game but rather a job of survival!" Seth mumbled with a frown before he stepped out of the forest.

[You have left Living roots]
