Chapter 490
Chapter 490: The Mystery of the Portal and the World(8)
Autumn wanted to see what made Aakesh so important in Lily’s life.
She finally got her answer when she saw Lily crying her heart out after meeting Aakesh. The other reason was the bloodline familiarity between Aakesh and Lily.
When Autumn had sensed familiarity with Lily’s bloodline, she had also sensed another bloodline mixed in it, which had given Lily an even higher sense of purity.
Now that she saw Aakesh, she knew the source of Lily’s strange bloodline. It matched with Aakesh, and she got confirmation when Aakesh joked about Lily being his daughter.
“There, there, don’t cry anymore,” Aakesh calmed Lily down, who had stopped wailing, but tears were still continuously streaming down her cheeks.
Lily ignored Aakesh and made his upper body wet with tears. Aakesh could only smile and gently pat Lily’s tiny head.
Time flew by.
During the time, Lily didn’t stop crying Aakesh continued gently rubbing her tiny head and didn’t say anything else, while Clara and Autumn silently stood there, looking at Aakesh and Lily.
The snow around Aakesh and others started gathering again, so Autumn acted. She activated the skill, Epochal Fire.
The next moment, a flame erupted out of nowhere and engulfed tens of miles of the area around Aakesh and others.
The snow melted straight away into the water, and soon, the water also vaporized, creating a fog around the range. But it wasn’t the end, as the fire burnt even the fog and the weather, making the weather around tens of miles free of any snow or fog.
Lily’s tears finally came to an end. Due to continuously crying for minutes, Lily got tired and then fell asleep like a baby.
Aakesh gently picked up Lily. Seeing her sleeping peacefully, Aakesh felt calm like never before. He then gently placed Lily on her favorite place, his head.
His eyes then finally fell on the second Epochal Feline. Aakesh was going to thank the feline when he suddenly sensed something on his head.
Lily, who had just fallen asleep, was engulfed in blinding light.
Clara didn’t understand what had happened. Aakesh and Autumn did, so they couldn’t help but smile at that time.
Lily was having a breakthrough.
From the moment Lily was born, she had been living with Aakesh. So when she appeared here and had to stay decades away from him without even knowing when they would meet, it put an emotional restriction on Lily. When she finally met Aakesh, that emotional restriction got broken. It not only made her cry but also resulted in a change of mental stability for Lily, which in turn, resulted in her energy skyrocketing and having a breakthrough.
Aakesh gently picked the blob of light inside which Lily was peacefully sleeping and having a breakthrough, and he then gently put it on the ground and stepped away.
Aakesh didn’t let her stay on his head as even the subconscious leak of his energy could affect Lily’s breakthrough, and Aakesh didn’t want to take such chances.
“So, you are Aakesh. Hello, I am Autumn,” Aakesh wanted to speak first after putting Lily down on the ground, but Autumn took the initiative and introduced herself.
“Yes, I am Aakesh,” Aakesh expressionlessly responded.
“Thank you for saving Lily. I owe you a big favor,” Aakesh then looked at Autumn and thanked her for making sure that Lily was safe. His tone was expressionless, yet it was a first for Aakesh as he hated favors, but he promised Autumn a favor. When it came to Lily, he was willing to have concessions.
“No need to thank me. I only did something any descendant would’ve done,” Autumn refused to take Aakesh’s thanks as she didn’t do it for him but for herself and her race. It was her bloodline that made her feel reverence for Lily.
“No, you saved Lily, and for that, I owe you a favor,” Aakesh expressionlessly responded and ignored whatever Autumn said.
“How were you able to bypass the restrictions around the space here?” Aakesh then asked the question lurking in his mind since he saw the feline teleporting here before waiting for Autumn’s response.
Aakesh may be able to thank and promise her a favor for Lily, but it didn’t mean that he would understand Autumn’s viewpoint.
“Because I am a central ruler,” Autumn answered as she had somewhat known Aakesh’s character after spending so much time with Lily. Lily was exactly like Aakesh. The only difference was Lily was a toned-down version of Aakesh.
Clara’s eyes widened in surprise, hearing Autumn’s answer.
Aakesh, on the other hand, nodded since he felt the answer to be believable.
Aakesh had traveled across hundreds of thousands of territories in the past few decades. But all the rulers he had come across had the same level of strength as the Void beasts of the Primal dimension and were an exclusive race to the Sacred dimension.
On the other hand, Autumn had a strength that Aakesh couldn’t see through, and the race she belonged to was extinct, but it was still a race that lived in the third dimension, so Autumn’s response made sense.
At the same time, curiosity and excitement also rose in Aakesh’s heart as finally, he could get the answers about this world he had been searching for since he appeared here.
“What is this world?” Aakesh asked the first question in his search for knowledge of this world.
“This isn’t a world but a flat continent that spans countless distances,” Autumn answered.
Aakesh expressionlessly nodded, hearing Autumn’s answers. He had also expected this as he had seen nothing but darkness in the sky since he had come here. There was no sun or moon to differentiate between day and night.
“This continent is called ‘Conspiracy’,” Autumn further added and told Aakesh the continent’s name.
Aakesh finally felt surprised as he didn’t understand why the continent was named ‘Conspiracy’?
“What’s the reason for this name?” Aakesh asked since the word ‘Conspiracy’ had a sinister meaning.
“I don’t know,” Autumn answered as she shook her head. Despite being the central ruler, she only had a basic amount of information about this continent and its mystery.
“Now, isn’t that heartbreaking? Do you even know just how much you two hurt me?”
Suddenly an unfamiliar female voice filled with disappointment and sadness rang in the area, breaking the concentration of both Aakesh and Autumn.
