The Gamer's System

Chapter 197: Conjures vs. Elites

Chapter 197: Conjures vs. Elites

The training of Allesiah and Zeke finished as he expected. Currently, Zeke has [60%] of the data required in order for him to get the details of Allesiah's skill and, the synchronization of his system with the features that were to come.

With this part being done, Zeke went and began the training with the elites. Something which made Heron have a worried expression on her face.

"Anything on your mind?" Zeke asked, with the [Dragon Morpher] looking at him.

"Master are you sure that this is a good idea?" Heron began, looking at the elites who weren't as motivated as before.

"Trust me on this one Heron. Just set up your realm so we can begin." Zeke said in reply, not giving any further explanation.

Heron knew better than to disobey Zeke so, the [Dragon Morpher] began the [Cloud of Dreams]. A skill which saved them the trouble of looking for a place to go all out in training.

The situation was bad. While some of the elites were strong and some pretended to be indifferent, they couldn't hide the fact that all of them felt incompetent at that moment. And Zeke knew exactly how to deal with them. That is, to beat them half to death and show just how weak they really are. This is for him to speed up the process. To slump them as low as he could.

After all, you can't go any lower if you've already fallen rock bottom. When they reach that, the only way left is up. They need to pick themselves up for their own ashes and show that there is still more to them than what they've already shown.

"Do you remember this scenery?" Zeke began, with all the elites properly armed and ready to fight.

Of course the elites knew what was meant by the gamer. It was the same as their first real practice. When Zeke personally trained them and prepared them for the battles that were to come. That time he made the [Conjures] fight the elites and, he intended to do the same once again.

"Shouldn't we be looking of Quinn by now?" Jake began in an annoyed tone. Thinking that their time was only getting wasted by the days of training that they had to go through.

"Yeah he's probably not that far and, if we use your skills Mr. Zeke then it would be even easier." Curio continued, in agreement.

Zeke was happy. They were still as lively as ever although, they were also as rude as they've always been. So he decided to just begin things instead of listening to the useless ramblings of some kids.

"Going after Quinn means that you have the ability to pin him down without killing him. Do you know who is capable of such a feat?" Zeke said, with the flames of [Conjures] rising around him. This shocked some of the elites who weren't aware of the upgrades that Zeke went through.

"That means that you have enough power to be benevolent. Enough power to allow something as taking down an enemy without killing." The parts of the monsters came out little by little, showing the 12 knights, Kayle, Kezel and, Samael.

"There are nineteen of you left. Your strategist and leader was stripped off your group but I couldn't care less. You are not allowed to make any excuses when you get defeated in this fight." Zeke furthered in a cocky tone.

"Huh? Defeated? I think we are being highly underestimated."

"Oh far from it. I believe that I have overestimated your capabilities to even cry better than a newly born." Zeke was purposely tainting and provoking them. Something which he has also mastered form gaming and, this worked like a charm because Jake was furious and so were the other hotheaded members of the group. Mordred and Mirio.

"Okay old man." Mirio said.

"Prepare to get a smack down." Mordred furthered.

"There won't be any time limits to this fight. Use whatever method that you wish and fight as much as you'd like. If you can kill all the [Conjures] then I'll agree with your terms. If not then give up."

"What do you mean?"

"Don't mistake my intentions. I have my own reasons for recruiting you guys just as much as you have your reasons for coming with me. This is a relationship where each party benefits form the other. With Quinn gone however, I doubt that your group has much to offer." Zeke said coldly, giving them half truths which roused Jake even more.

"Damn he's really stabbing them with his words huh." Sylph commented; watching from a distance together with both Heron and Morpheus.

"I don't enjoy Master Zeke making himself look like a villain. So I hope this all turns out well in the end." Heron said in reply while Morpheus was simply waiting for all the action to start.

"Everything you own and the skills you enjoy are because of me. I won't take them back of course because that is impossible. But I want you to show me how capable you are with them. Otherwise I'll abandon your group."

Just as Heron commented, all Zeke's words were intended to make him look like a villain. There was no shaking in his voice nor did he sound like he was joking. Zeke made as many stabs as needed in order to get the group fighting seriously and this worked like a charm as he felt their aura shifting.

"I believe this is enough talking. Let us begin."

The terrain changed immediately. They were within Heron's domain; covered with large columns of rocks that prevented some maneuverability. The domain wasn't limited to this however as, there was also a waterfall extending to a downstream river. With a large thicket of trees all around them.

Normally, one would think of a strategy while measuring out the strengths of the enemy. But Jake was simply too pissed off to care. He bolted out of sight and aimed to take down one of the twelve knights immediately. Kaguya shouted at him of course wanting him to back away from the rash decision but he didn't listen.

The elite's attack didn't reach his target. Two swords came swinging at him; making Jake back away a few centimeters as he casted [Impale].

The rain of spears began with two of the knights caught up in the attack. The other [Conjures] have scattered; taking on the remaining Elites who were a bit lost on what to do.

"Look at these kids. They've been too reliant on others giving them orders that they don't even know how to respond to dangerous situations such as this anymore." Zeke thought to himself, coldly watching the sight without any mercy for the humans as [Arthur] fired [Chaos Flames] from his sword. Forcing Kaguya to activate Oblivion immediately in order to swallow the attack.

Gawain and Eerie backed her up, firing a barrage of arrows which was hindered by two other knights. One wielding a double shield while the other had a shield and lance. Meanwhile, Kezel approached them casually. Holding the [Conjured] version of [Death's Void] on his hands which Amare recognized immediately.

"Trouble at three o'clock." She said which, the defenders immediately responded to. Creating barriers that prevented the blades of [Death's Void] to reach them right away. Mirio and Mordred then came out to face the enemies head on. Getting the assistance of Julia to heal them whenever the need arises.

The fight was harsh for the elites. They couldn't find the balance they once had when Quinn was still there. While in the middle of the fight, their leader would create better strategies; adapting based on the situation and allowing them to come out of the fights victorious.

Yet they didn't have him. They only had each other's backs which, placed a huge amount of pressure on them as cold sweat came out of their skin. With their breathing becoming paced as the [Conjures] didn't relent.

"Hey are you sure you're not healing them?" Jake shouted to Zeke through the [Voice Chat] who watched them casually from a distance. Arm's folded.

"Amare can see it clearly you know. Plus, I'm not one to cheat against enemies who can't even win." Zeke furthered.

Of course he could've given them the ability to see the health and mana of their opponents. But that would be like cheating because, in the real battles, they wouldn't' have this ability. They needed to estimate and attack at the most opportune moments.

The knights didn't stop as the elites were forced to divide even further. Some were sent to the forest. Others in the middle of the flowing river. While there were those that remained within the column of rocks.

It was an even matchup, with the knights holding the same amount of power as the elites do. Or so they believed.

Zeke's most prized piece. His strongest [Conjure] Samael was yet to make any moves. He thought it wasn't needed anymore and so the creature stood beside Zeke. Pissing off Jake who threw a spear at the creature. One which it caught without any troubles.

"How dare you take us easy! Why isn't he attacking exactly huh?" Jake was furious, so much so that he doubled the casting of impale on the knights while also creating the spikes coming out of the ground. Finally causing damage that accumulated over time.

"Samael, that one has been grumpy since earlier." Zeke said to his [Conjure], not minding the words said by Jake.

"Hey I'm talking to you!" Jake said, finally snapping and releasing his strongest javelin at the two.

Samael caught this once again. But an explosion soon followed which Zeke also predicted. Creating a barrier that prevented him from getting damage while Samael only sustained little damage.

It was a move which Zeke found to be quite uncalled for. He was giving himself a handicap after all. Making things a bit fairer for the elites. Yet with Jake being as proud as he was, Zeke decided to change his plans. Making use of his summon as he gave the orders:

"Samael, show that kid some manners."
