Chapter 129: Destroying the Vansha
Chapter 129: Destroying the Vansha
Seven spears appeared around Vansha. These spears were made entirely of fire and radiated intense heat waves.
Frost Wave!
The freezing aura overflowing from Heinald's body exploded outward. At that moment, fire spears were flying towards him. The fire spears pierced the cold air wave and continued to fly rapidly towards him. However, the power of the spears had been greatly weakened by the cold wave.
A pale red barrier appeared around Heinald. When the spears hit this barrier, they exploded, scattering pieces of flame.
"Frost Wave reduced the destructiveness of those spears quite a bit. When those spears exploded, they were only able to deal 1% damage." Heinald muttered after checking the Blood Nightmare Shield in his mind.
Since he did not know how many spirits this Vansha had exploited, he could not comment on how its experience level was. however, the Vanshas were naturally not as skilled at spells as the Ainsars; it was not possible for them to use all the experience they had gathered from the spirits.
"Aodon's Hand!" Heinald started casting the only Dark Energy-based spell he knew. This spell was also the most difficult spell for him to cast. After casting this spell, his mind was getting tired as if he had cast a few High-Rank Spells.
Black arms came out around Vansha and began to wrap around her. He immediately cast a spell and fiery snakes began to wander around its body. These snakes attacked the black arms but failed to harm them.
It was obvious that these fire snakes were not high rank magic. Moreover, Aodon's Hand was quite a powerful spell, even if the spell Vansha used was strong, it would be very difficult to overcome it.
Spiritual Spell-Death Ray!
A fierce fire aura began to radiate from Heinald's hands. A red ray of fire shot out from his hands towards Vansha and struck it directly.
Vansha screamed, trying to break free from the black arms holding it, but it couldn't. The scorching fire ray burned it in seconds and turned it into ashes.
The black orb on its chest shrunk and reached the size of an oak.
Heinald started walking slowly towards the black orb. At that moment, his eyes fell on the ring that had fallen to the ground after Vansha's skeletal body had disappeared. This ring was the Attack Type Magical Treasure it used.
Heinald carefully took the ring and began to examine it. This ring was a silver ring with various symbols engraved on it. It was surrounded by a pale golden beam of light.
"There seems to be a hidden technique in the beam of light surrounding the ring that I cannot decipher. The runes on the ring are not enough to make such a powerful Magical Treasure."
Heinald was staring at the ring with admiration. As he understood it, the beam of light surrounding this ring must itself be some kind of formation. However, even he was incapable of deciphering the technique contained in this beam of light.
When he sent magical energy to the ring he was holding, a new part of his mind arose and he began to feel the presence of the Magical Treasure.
At his only thought, the ring radiated a silver light and turned into a longsword. This sword was about 1.5 meters long and a palm wide. On the surface of this sword were five different runes that he had not seen before, black smoke was coming out of these runes.
Likewise, in his other hand, a copy of this sword made of black smoke appeared, but their weight was exactly the same.
Another thing that surprised him was the weight of these swords. Each of these swords weighed about two tons. Of course, with the strength of his body, he could easily control these swords, but still, the weight of these swords would slow him down a bit.
"Change form!" At Heinald's only thought, the swords rose up into the air and, transforming into an ax in midair, landed in his hand. He could easily say that this ax weighed a ton.
The tip of this ax was incredibly large and sharp. This ax was used for making heavy moves.
Heinald realized in his mind the two skills this Magical Treasure had.
The first was called the Fire of Narva. According to the severity of the attack to be made, it directly attracted the Dark Energy of the person using it. Thus, he bestowed the power of the extremely powerful Black Fire to its user. Of course, the source of Dark Energy was again the converted Magic Energy.
The second was a skill called Dark Pressure. When this skill was used, whatever form the treasure was in, it was surrounded by a black mist. If there was a counterattack, some of the power of the opponent's attack would be swallowed up by this black mist.
"So that's how it stopped the Infernal Fireball!" Heinald could not help but admire this skill.
After a moment's attention with the ring, he went to the small black orb on the ground and took it in his hand. However, something happened that he did not expect at that time. The small black orb suddenly exploded, and a resulting black smoke entered directly into his sea of consciousness.
Heinald realized at that moment that his mind was in a mess. He could hear many screams and whispers in his ear.
He knew what the situation he was facing was. He was experiencing a contamination of consciousness, it was one of the ancient curses. This curse spawned a seed of stain in the sea of consciousness of the person caught, and if it could not be destroyed, it would grow over time and become completely uncontrollable. In this case, no one could predict with certainty what the end of that person would be.
"Damn! That little black orb was no longer emitting a cursed aura. How did I get cursed?" Heinald had touched that little orb, thinking it was completely safe now.
However, he had made a great fool of himself. He should never have interacted directly with a remnant of a very dangerous being like Vansha.
Heinald immediately entered the empty state using all his mental power and will and was able to suppress the movements of the stain in the sea of consciousness. However, this was only a short-term solution, he had to find a way to remove this stain from the sea of consciousness as soon as possible.
At Heinald's thought, his ring shone and took the form of an axe. He threw it against the wall behind the statue with all his anger, and that wall was completely shattered.
"As I guessed!" A cold gleam passed through Heinald's eyes. When the wall collapsed, a narrow tunnel was completely dark.
As he made his way through the revealed dark tunnel, he thought that Vansha might also have controlled the skeletons he had encountered before.
After walking for an unknown time, he came to a wide area. In the middle of this area was a small lake.
Heinald sent the orb of light higher and saw that there was another tunnel across the lake.
"Is there a monster living in this lake?"
Heinald cast a few spells into the lake and, realizing that it was completely safe, he swam across.
When he came out of the lake, he started to move forward in the tunnel that was right in front of him. After walking for a few minutes, he saw a small beam of light coming from above. He immediately went to that light and when he realized that it was sunlight, he excitedly leaped up above and broke the stone area where the sunlight was leaking.
At that time, hot sand began to pour down on him. After gaining some strength in his feet, he jumped up and came out of the small hollow.
As he looked around he saw nothing but glowing sands and dunes.
He was in the middle of the Black Scorpion Desert.
Since there were multiple dunes around it, he could not observe his surroundings on a large scale. So he headed for the highest dune he could see.
After getting there, he looked around on a large scale and saw nothing but hot desert sands. He didn't know which way he was or which way he should go.
"I can't believe I've traveled far enough underground to reach the Black Scorpion Desert!" Heinald muttered distastefully.
He actually wasn't too bothered by the situation he was in. After all, he had managed to get out of the underground after surviving various dangers. However, there was a deep and long cut in his stomach and a contamination in the sea of consciousness.
These two thoughts bothered him.
While the wound on his stomach wasn't a minor one, it wasn't a very serious one either. His body would somehow overcome this injury, but he urgently needed to find a solution for the staining in the sea of consciousness.
An Ainsar's sea of consciousness contained both his mind and spirit. It was his sea of consciousness where his experiences, both spiritual and mental, were combined and located, so it was very important.
