Chapter 177: Underground Formation

"Could the Ainsars who had ruled on this plane in ancient times also left because of some kind of war?" Avnr asked.

"Possible." Heinald nodded.

"What kind of place is the World of Ainsar?" Towsak asked.

"To me, it's a pretty chaotic place where the selfish are powerful. However, being selfish is one of the most certain and acceptable conditions out there, because there aren't enough resources for everyone. Other than that, it's a place full of dangerous monsters and creatures, where powerful families and clans rule the world." Heinald shrugged.

"It doesn't seem like it's different from here" Avnr smiled crookedly.

Towsak said, "Heinald heard of the Ulltemols from the dwarves living in the swamp. We had a short conversation about them on their way here. He knows they want our resources."

"Ulltemols..." Avnr's expression darkened, "The situation is not much different here either, there are not enough resources for everyone here, and we have to acquire them in order to become stronger."

"I can't say I know much about Ulltemols." Heinald said.

Towsak said, "That's why we want to invite you to cooperate with us. We all agree that we can help each other."

"What kind of collaboration?" Heinald wanted to hear their offers in detail.

"First, we can share our knowledge with each other. Moreover, we are ready to hand over half the resources we will get from the relics to you if you help us in our fight against the Ulltemols to recapture the relics." Avnr made the offer in his head.

Heinald thought, "It would be very unreasonable to accept such an offer without knowing the exact power of the Ulltemols. And I don't know enough about the traps and formations in the ruins."

Heinald and Towsak got on the giant Rafan's back and they flew towards the Infernal Abyss.

He was observing below as he flew over the vast desert. He was seeing creatures and Magical Beasts below that he had never seen before, although not very often. Although he wasn't entirely sure of their power level, he could tell from his momentary observations that they were dangerous.

Heinald thought, "Though, there are no non-dangerous creatures or Magical Beasts..."

"Are we sure the Ulltemols won't attack us?"

Heinald wanted to talk to Towsak while observing the vast desert landscape.

"I cannot guarantee that. However, remember that you are a human being. They will want to get to know you or at least observe you for a long time before attacking you. After all, you are an Ainsar!"

When Towsak spoke his thoughts, Heinald openly agreed. The Ulltemols considered themselves the heirs of the Ainsars who ruled on this plane in ancient times. They too must not have seen a human in a long time; so the chances of them attacking him were pretty low.

Heinald and Towsak traveled for hours to the south of the desert. When they finally came to the edge of the Infernall Abyss, they dived down. The bottom of this abyss was not visible. All that was visible was the dense fog below.

For an unknown time they plunged into the bottom of the abyss.

Resembling a giant eagle, Towsak pulled by Rafan's reins, the Magical Beast flapped its massive wings and hovered in midair.

"See the huge rift ahead?" Towsak pointed to the huge rift on the cliffside.

Giant Rafan landed on the field in front of the rift. Heinald and Towsak jumped on its back and started walking towards the huge rift.

Towsak was unaware of it, but Heinald was using his eyes at the margins to look around, careful not to miss the smallest detail.
