The Mysterious Black Magician

A wide grin was on Yman's face. He stepped forward while lifting his hand.

"Don't look at me like that Miss Kiko Sun. I haven't even attacked you yet, but it looks like you've received more damage already. Fufu."

'T-this fucker dared to make fun of me?!' Kiko gnashed his teeth. Soon he realized something. 'Wait… Miss?'

"The f*ck! Who are you calling Miss?" Kiko barked.

Yman's mouth opened into a laugh. "Ahaha. My bad. You look so scared that I mistook your gender."

"....."

Grr!

Kiko trembled in anger while gritting his teeth. Like hell he would believe that! He was certain that Yman intentionally said it! Veins were popping on Kiko's face, but. He needed to calm down. He knew that Yman was intentionally provoking him to lose his focus.

'Ahem! I can't lose my cool,' Kiko whispered to himself and controlled his breathing. Yman was an idiot. He wondered what's the connection between scared and woman.

Huff! Hah~

He must defeat this idiot to instill common sense in his brain. Honestly, it surprised Kiko when his Invisible Bombs failed in finishing the bastard.

He had no idea how or what Yman did, but perhaps he was just lucky. 'In that case, I will use a much stronger one,' Kiko thought and began generating mana on his hands.

Wait!

But before Kiko could finish preparing for his next attack, he froze on the spot. "What the heck are those?" He mumbled when he noticed something was appearing around Yman. 

'Tsk! The drones.'

Kiko recognized them right away. Five crimson-colored drones materialized around his opponent.

The only thing that baffled him was the way Yman summoned them. He couldn't find any signs of summoning spells. He also didn't notice Yman using mana. So there was only one conclusion regarding it.

'I see. They were items that he stored inside his Cyber Storage.' Kiko deducted. Regardless of what it is, he just needed to destroy them.

The drones flew towards Kiko as they fired beams. Tsk! He clicked his tongue as he jumped in mid-air. He also flapped his wings to remain in there. The beams passed by a few inches away from him. He successfully evaded them by flying around.

From Kiko's hand, he summoned three fireballs that were moving in a circular motion. He called this technique [Circular Flame]. He fired them at the front. While he was evading the beams that were coming nonstop at him, he also fired his Circular Flame. The fireballs on it scattered away and went towards the beams.

Then they collided and explosions happened.

Boom boom boom!

Thanks to it, Kiko got a chance to attack the other drones. While holding his massive sword, he sped up towards one of the drones. With a flap of his wings, Kiko's figure bolted straight.

He swung his sword upward in a diagonal motion and successfully sliced one of the drones in two. The other drones scattered right away after Kiko destroyed one of them.

They were trying to surround him, but Kiko reacted quickly. His figure darted from one place to another like a startled fish in the river.

The drones could not even catch his speed. Kiko was truly a high-level person. His speed is the evidence.

Everyone saw Kiko's figure appear at the back of one of the drones. The next second, the drone was split in two and disappeared like a wisp of smoke.

Kiko narrowed his eyes. At first, he was wondering why these drones didn't explode after destroying them, but now he finally understands the reason. These drones weren't made of machines. They were made of pure mana. But, how come he stored them in his Cyber Storage? It was the biggest question.

Uh well! Kiko shook his head. Since it was a spell from a trash person, aka Yman, Kiko didn't admire it. Also, it wasn't good straining his mind regarding it.

Kiko's figure disappeared once again and the next time he appeared, it was beside one of the drones. Another drone was split in half. It only took him a minute in eliminating all the drones.

Now standing in midair, Kiko was looking below him, straight to the new batch of drones. Another five drones were coming towards him while firing beams.

Kiko just stood there like a War God. He had no plans of evading this time. Kiko lifted his free hand. He pointed it to the fast-approaching beams. 

But before the beams could hit him, a mirror-like barrier protected him. Everyone's mouth turned into an "o" when the beams failed to penetrate it. 

Beams supposedly have high penetration force, yet Kiko's barrier was able to stand against it. The beams even bounced when they hit the surface of the barrier.

"A genius idea!" Mora Liz screamed. "Friends! As you can see, Kiko used his water element to create a mirror-like barrier. As most of us already know, mirrors are the best counter for beam attacks! Kiko Sun is truly a quick-witted person! A genius!"

YEAH!

The spectators cheerfully pumped their fists in mid-air as they repeatedly shouted Kiko's name. A smile finally resurfaced on Kiko's face. Fueled by everyone's cheering, Kiko's self-confidence grew higher.

Especially when a cute and popular announcer like Mis Mora Liz was saying praises to him. 

'Now, now, let's end this farce,' Kiko thought as he summoned mana on his hand. A symmetrical pattern emerged in front of his palm. From the pattern, flames with immense heat burst out, raging towards the approaching new batch of drones. The drones were engulfed in the raging fire and disappeared right after.

Seeing the fate of his drones, Yman leaped away. He sensed danger. The raging flame proceeded towards him.

Rea narrowed her eyes at that moment. Why is someone like Crimson afraid of flame? She wondered. She knew that Crimson has high flame resistance.

Kiko grinned upon seeing Yman running away. Rat! He thought. For him, Yman was like a panic rat, escaping for his dear life. He flew towards him. In just an instant, he arrived above him. Hehe! He grinned. Without wasting time, he lifted his weapon above his head.

Yman glanced above with wide eyes.

"Now die!" Kiko yelled as he swung his weapon down towards him. However, "Wait!" Yman shouted while pointing behind Kiko. Kiko grinned. He would not fall for such a petty trick. Kiko knew it was an attempt to divert his attention. But too bad for Yman. Kiko wasn't an idiot. He knew Yman was just desperate.

Unfortunately, before his sword hit his opponent. Kiko suddenly felt a strong force from his side. He was sent away like a human propeller. His body slides a good distance upon touching the surface of the stage. 

Everyone fell silent with dumbfounded faces and a clear indication of shock. Yman, on the other hand, was shaking his head.

"Well, I did warn him," he mumbled and sighed. He was seemingly sympathizing with his opponent, but for some reason, it also seemed like he was making fun of him.

"....."

Mora Liz felt like something was blocking her throat. "W-Well, friends. I-it's seemed like Crimson was very lucky to land a surprise attack again," Mora Liz said in a stuttering voice.

"Ugh," Kiko's body twitched as he groaned in pain. It seemed like he was about to die.

Although Yman wanted to finish him, he decided against it when he noticed that there were still about 68 percentage points in Kiko's life bar. Perhaps if it wasn't because of his advanced resonance, his health points would be at most 30-40 percent by now.

"Eh? Why did Yman bro just stand there? It's a good chance to finish the arrogant bastard!" Bob was wondering.

"Right. But maybe he was just being careful," Chloe followed up.

"Hmm…" Yana was making a pondering gesture, but she could not find a word.

Looking at their expressions, Rea opened her mouth. "Well, it can't be helped. Crimson could not mindlessly approach him. There was a saying about a dying person being the most dangerous one," she said.

Honestly, she wasn't sure if it was the correct phrase but it should be along those lines.

"Ah…" Bob nodded his head. 

A figure stood beside Yman. "A-Another Noble Rat!" Vortex exclaimed upon seeing it.

"Right," Ultima nodded.

"W-well. Perhaps after killing thousands of them our dude becomes the leader of their group…"

Ultima wasn't sure if Vortex was joking. But thinking about it. Yman was the one and only Rat Slayer. So probably, he had a better understanding of them.

Although dizzy, Kiko was able to stand up with a little struggle. He felt like he had been hit with a bat in the face. His vision cleared up right away after a shake of his head.

"Damn…" he gnashed his teeth as he peered around him. He saw his opponent and a familiar figure beside him.

"The f*ck?!" Kiko gawked, but soon he gnashed his teeth. "The heck. That bastard tricked me!" Kiko clenched his fist. "This is unforgivable."

There's a gleam in his eyes as he stared at Yman with anger. On the other hand, Yman was doing a high-five with his Noble Rat Fire Doll.

"Wahahaha!" He laughed while resting both his hands on his waist. "I'm good! I'm good!" He laughed while repeatedly saying it.

"Eh?"

Those who have been acquainted with Yman gawked. 

Rea facepalmed. She was wondering why she felt something was different in Crimson.. Now she finally understands why.
