The Prodigies War

Chapter 1802: Kneel, Kowtow, and Apologize

Chapter 1802: Kneel, Kowtow, and Apologize

“Chi Lingzi, I just wanted to spar with you. Why did you leave without notice?”

Shortly after Chi Lingzi arrived, a voice as cold as snow resounded, followed by the emergence of a woman through teleportation. She was clad in a black gauze dress, and her skin was smooth and fair like butter.

“Shui Biyun, invincible in her cultivation stage in Xuanshui Great World!” exclaimed many in surprise.

Invincible in her stage meant that she had no rivals among the supreme Big Saints of Xuanshui Great World. This was the only way she could deserve such an honorable title.

Yu Yunhe and his cousins all clicked their tongues with shocked looks in their eyes as they looked up at Shui Biyun and Chi Lingzi.

Chi Lingzi’s might was overwhelming, shaking heaven and earth and making people feel suffocated. Shui Biyun was not at all inferior in power, wanting to spar with him!

“When comparing myself to them, I realize what it means when people say there is always someone stronger than you.” Yu Yunfeng was dejected.

They were all supreme Big Saints, but Chi Lingzi and Shui Biyun were like dragons in the sky who they had to look up at.

“They are nothing compared to Brother Lin,” commented Yu Yunhe suddenly.

Yu Yunfeng and Yu Yunlong both froze. They had almost forgotten that the person next to them was a heaven-defying character who could dominate and kill Saint-Kings!

The arrival of Chi Lingzi and Shui Biyun was just the beginning.

With time, figures who were renowned throughout the Ziheng Star Field arrived one after another from various major worlds. Escorted by powerful experts, each of them was like a moon surrounded by stars.

“Ruijin Great World’s Li You, a one-in-a-millennium sword genius!”

“Qingkong Great World’s Lie Dongzhan! He’s rumored to have touched the threshold of the Saint-King Stage, having exceptional talents and battle prowess.”

“Bailan Great World’s Xiao Budu…”

The banks of Nine-Province River had never been as lively as it was today with the presence of many dazzling heaven prides and geniuses, each blossoming with their own light. Among them included supreme goddesses with matchless poise.

There were likewise famous characters from the Great Yu World, such as disciples of the number one sect Star Jade Sword Pavilion and so on.

The expressions of Yu Yunhe’s group became increasingly heavy as the pressure on them multiplied.

Lin Xun was the only one who had remained calm the whole time, treating the dazzling characters like they were normal people.

“Yu Yunhe, how do you still have the face to show up?”

A group of people abruptly approached, led by a man and a woman.

The man was dressed elaborately. He had sharp brows, bright eyes, and a grand air. One could tell right away that he wasn’t from an ordinary background.

The woman was wearing a dark green dress. Her beauty was exquisite, her skin almost crystalline and her hair coiled in a bun.

The one who had spoken was precisely this stunning woman.

“Alchemy Dao Sect’s Mu Xiuqi and Zhang Bairong!”

“So he’s Zhang Bairong, the strongest disciple of Alchemy Dao Sect’s main lineage, one of the Four Supreme Suns of the Great Yu World!”

The onlookers around were stirred when they recognized the duo.

“Mu Xiuqi?” wondered Lin Xun at the same time.

He was reminded of the man named Mu Xiuyuan in Tianqu World who had torn apart his marriage contract with Nan Qiu. That fellow’s sister was none other than Mu Xiuqi.

And as far as Lin Xun was aware, Yu Yunhe had traveled to Tianqu World to back up Mu Xiuyuan as a way to win Mu Xiuqi’s favor.

In short, Yu Yunhe was this woman’s ardent suitor.

Lin Xun raised his eyes. Mu Xiuqi indeed looked extremely outstanding, but at this moment, there was a hint of frost on her face, and she looked like she was here with her troops to condemn someone.

“Junior Sister Xiuqi, Senior Brother Bairong, you’ve also come,” greeted Yu Yunhe.

“Don’t act like we’re close!” scolded Mu Xiuqi like Yu Yunhe was her servant. “Where’s my younger brother? You said you’d bring him from Tianqu to Great Yu, but where is he?”

Yu Yunhe’s expression froze. He explained, “It’s a long story, Junior Sister. Your younger brother lacked discernment and offended a powerful expert…”

Not letting him finish, Mu Xiuqi’s brows shot up as she icily interrupted, “You said my brother lacked discernment? Some guts you’ve grown, Yu Yunhe!”

“Heh.” Zhang Bairong next to her scoffed with disdain. “You shouldn’t have entrusted him with this matter in the first place, Junior Sister Xiuqi. How could you possibly expect an unruly spendthrift to be reliable?”

In the past, Yu Yunhe would have conceded and even explained the details to Mu Xiuqi with a fawning smile.

But now, after having experienced so much, his mentality had completely changed. Faced with her aggressive questioning, his heart was flooded with an indescribable distaste.

How blind he had been to have actually liked such a woman!

He said coldly, “On account of our past relationship, I won’t argue with you. I only tolerated and obeyed you in every way before because I liked you. But now…please keep your distance!”

Mu Xiuqi was dumbstruck. Was this still the Yu Yunhe who heeded her every word and put himself at her beck and call?

When had he ever dared to talk back to her like this?!

Mu Xiuqi was so angry that her pretty face turned livid.

“Junior Brother Yunhe!” Zhang Bairong stepped up and reprimanded, “You’ve gone too far. Quickly apologize and make amends with Xiuqi!”

His position in their sect was much higher than Yu Yunhe’s, and he had always despised the latter’s character.

Therefore, he was not polite at all.

Yu Yunhe snorted out a laugh. “Who do you think you are, Zhang Bairong, to order me to apologize?”

Zhang Bairong’s face sank. “You…audacious!”

The crowd of Alchemy Dao Sect experts behind him was stunned, almost thinking that Yu Yunhe had gone crazy to have the guts to speak to Zhang Bairong like that.

Yu Yunhe looked nonchalant. “You’re right, I’ve always been audacious.”

“Good, very good!” said Zhang Bairong as he puffed himself up and thrust out his palm. “Insolent lunatic who fails to see your wrongdoings, today, I shall punish you on our sect’s behalf!”

With so many cultivators present and the top figures from all the Nine Major Worlds all gathering here, Yu Yunhe’s talking back had caused Zhang Bairong to lose face.

“How dare you?!” Yu Yunfeng and Yu Yunlong were furious. Yu Yunhe was still a member of their clan, so how could they tolerate him being bullied like this?

Just as they were about to attack, a gray-clothed elder appeared out of nowhere. His might spread like a tsunami and put such a heavy pressure on the two that they felt suffocated.

A Saint-King!

The two were shocked.

Meanwhile, Zhang Bairong’s palm strike had already shot toward Yu Yunhe. Its domineering force caused the void around to collapse and rumble.

Yu Yunhe’s pupils constricted. He was well aware of how powerful Zhang Bairong was; the latter’s title as the top core disciple of Alchemy Dao Sect was definitely well-deserved.

But once again, Yu Yunhe hadn’t even reacted when a huge, white, and delicate hand suddenly appeared in the air and waved gently.

Bang!

Zhang Bairong staggered back, his chest heaving violently, so uncomfortable that he almost coughed up blood.

There was a stir as the audience was caught by surprise. All eyes fell on Lin Xun who had appeared in front of Yu Yunhe at some point.

“Who is this guy? He injured Zhang Bairong!”

“When did the Yu Clan have such a formidable character?”

Everyone discussed spiritedly.

Zhang Bairong’s handsome face was gloomy, his eyes flickering as he said, “Who are you? How dare you meddle in the internal affairs of our Alchemy Dao Sect?”

Lin Xun’s response was indifferent. “Kneel, kowtow, and apologize.”

The one short sentence clearly resounded in the ears of Zhang Bairong, Mu Xiuqi, and the other Alchemy Dao Sect’s disciples, sending them into a rage.

What an overbearing loon!

Even the gray-clothed elder who was blocking Yu Yunfeng and Yu Yunlong had a cold light flash through his eyes.

“You court death!” Zhang Bairong was seething.

As the top core disciple of Alchemy Dao Sect, how could he possibly apologize to someone on his knees in public? Lin Xun’s words had completely enraged him.

Terrifying qi rumbled as it circulated inside Zhang Bairong. His aura climbed up like a rainbow, and one could vaguely hear a dragon’s roar as his might soared to the sky.

In this instant, everyone in the area looked over in unison.

Lin Xun, however, did not say a word. He merely extended a hand and pressed it in the void.

Boom!

A horrifying power spread abruptly and dropped down on Zhang Bairong like a divine mountain, wanting to force him to his knees!

Zhang Bairong’s clothes fluttered as his qi poured out like crazy. His spine suddenly rose like a great dragon and transformed into a tripod cauldron.

True Origin Dragon Tripod of Vigor!

“Break!” roared Zhang Bairong.

The dragon cauldron glowed, exploding with immeasurable force.

He had the cultivation of a supreme Big Saint. This coupled with his exceptional aptitude and a dao body that was well-tempered with a miraculous art, his battle prowess was beyond exceptional.

But to his surprise, the True Origin Dragon Tripod of Vigor exploded into pieces in just seconds. Immediately after, a boundless palm qi came crashing and shattered all of his protective measures.

With a heavy thud, he fell to the ground on all fours in a groveling posture.

The top core disciple of Alchemy Dao Sect was suppressed with one palm strike!

“What…?”

The whole crowd was shaken. Zhang Bairong had long risen to fame as one of the Four Supreme Suns of the Great Yu World. Even though he wasn’t as strong as the likes of Chi Lingzi and Shui Biyun whose names could shake the Ziheng Star Field, he was still a top leading figure of his generation.

Yet, he had been suppressed so easily?

“AHHH!” bellowed Zhang Bairong, his face flushed red with fury, shame, and indignation.

But no matter how hard he struggled, it was to no avail. Instead, he was pressed down again and completely nailed to the ground with a loud noise.

The region went silent for a good moment. The other disciples of Alchemy Dao Sect had all lost their voices and paled in horror. How is this possible?!

Mu Xiuqi gawked in disbelief, so frightened that she quivered.

Only Yu Yunhe, Yu Yunfeng and Yu Yunlong still remained calm. They had all seen what Lin Xun was truly capable of, and just suppressing Zhang Bairong was nothing at all to him.

“Let go of me, or else my Alchemy Dao Sect will exterminate your entire clan!” shrieked Zhang Bairong.

“I gave you a chance to apologize, yet you threatened me. You really don’t know your own limitations.” Lin Xun’s black eyes went cold.

A force surged out from his palm, and a crackling sound was heard before Zhang Bairong let out an ear-piercing scream. The tendons and bones in his four limbs snapped, he bled from all seven orifices, and his flesh ripped.

“Stop!” rang a majestic voice.

There was a flash as the gray-clothed elder who had blocked Yu Yunfeng and Yu Yunlong suddenly teleported, his fingers like swords as he chopped at Lin Xun.

The power in a Saint-King’s attack was nothing ordinary.

But just when everyone thought that Lin Xun would either be suppressed or choose to evade, an unexpected scene played out.

He actually stood still on the spot, once again raised his hand, and pressed his palm in the void.
