“It tastes bad.”

“If it tastes bad, then why are you still eating it? Just give it to me,” Yu Gangan stretched out her hand to grab Fang Zhihan’s bowl, but he brushed her away again. With his usual coldness, he swept his eyes across the woman in front of him.

Yu Gangan laughed to herself as she continued to eat her noodles and observe the man. ‘Someone’ was eating in a particularly prissy way, like a noble from ancient times.

“During the time that we live together, the housework will be equally shared. You will clean on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and I will clean on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. If you are busy, you can ask to take the day off.”

Sure, this man looked like a noble, but even if he was a real noble, Yu Gangan wasn’t about to let him live in her home for free.

So, she expressed her thoughts firmly, “Tonight’s supper, for example, I cooked so you should clean the dishes.”

Fang Zhihan lifted his head and stared at Yu Gangan. The light hit upon his cold and handsome face, creating a questionably seductive atmosphere as she looked back at him in a daze.

She felt as though she was being seduced, but...he never provoked her.

Yu Gangan humphed, “What? You don’t agree?”

Yu Gangan put down her chopsticks and said with seriousness, “I won’t allow that! Not only must you share the workload from now on, you will also need to watch your actions around me. After all, we are man and woman.”

Fang Zhihan’s gaze was wise and reserved. It appeared as though he was thinking something, but he remained silent.

“I have no opinion regarding your silent nature, but please speak up when required. Otherwise, how are we supposed to communicate?” Yu Gangan asked unhappily.

In a cold tone, Fang Zhihan replied, “If I refuse, will you accept it?”

Yu Gangan shook her head, “No.”

“Since that’s the case, then what’s the point of talking?” Fang Zhihan continued to eat his noodles as he ignored Yu Gangan.

Yu Gangan: “...”

Based on his response, why did he sound so domineering?

A moment later, Yu Gangan smiled and said, “Thank you for today. I know you were the one that called the police. Do you know Mi Zhangyi?”

Although Yang Tianyou was taken into custody, it wasn’t a huge issue; all her uncle’s family had to do was vouch for Yang Tianyou and he would be easily set free.

So, Yu Gangan was hoping that Fang Zhihan could ask Mi Zhangyi for help to keep Yang Tianyou detained for a few extra days.

“Do you know why Yang Tianyou’s been pretending to be my fiance?” Yu Gangan questioned as she stared into Fang Zhihan’s eyes.

“Yes.”

Yu Gangan’s eyes lit up. Just as she was about to ask him why, Fang Zhihan spoke up first, “But, I don’t want to tell you.”

As he spoke, he looked in Yu Gangan’s eyes and smiled at her teasingly.

Yu Gangan lowered her head and glared at the man, biting her lip and not saying a word.

After Fang Zhihan finished his noodles, he stood up and walked into the kitchen. A moment later, he returned with a glass of warm milk and placed it in front of Yu Gangan, “You cooked me noodles, so I fetched you some milk.”

Yu Gangan choked on the noodles she was eating and immediately grabbed some tissues to cover her mouth. After a few coughs, her face turned red.

She furrowed her brows and looked at Fang Zhihan.

But, the man looked at her in seriousness. There wasn’t the slightest smile on his handsome, dignified face.

Was she the only one thinking dirty again...?

Fang Zhihan looked at her coldly and asked, “What were you thinking? Why are you coughing like that?”

Yu Gangan immediately shook her head and waved her hands, “Nothing. I simply ate too quickly.”

Fang Zhihan placed his hand on her head and gently patted it, “Remember to wash the dishes.”

Yu Gangan felt a little ashamed, so she subconsciously nodded, “OK.”

Fang Zhihan turned around as his lips curved slightly upwards, a smile appearing on his face.

Yu Gangan felt a little uncomfortable, so she did not finish the rest of her noodles. Holding the two bowls in her hands, she walked into the kitchen to clean up.

But, just as she started cleaning the dishes, she suddenly froze. Didn’t she allocate this job to Fang Zhihan?

Why was she doing it as well?
