Upon hearing this, Shironeko nodded with a smile. “Since it’s requested by Kimura-sama, Fukuyama Shrine will be at your service.”

Kimura Kazuki had already talked to Sei Shigeru with regards to this and he had promised to assist Kazuki to speak on his behalf. In fact, from Sei Shigeru’s perspective, even if Kazuki was to come to Fukuyama Shrine by himself, Shironeko would not refuse him due to his current strength and fame.

However, Kimura Kazuki was previously busy with the preparations for his final examinations and thus he had no time to visit Kyoto. Furthermore, a few more things needed to be prepared in order to activate her consanguinity. Since Sei Shigeru was already in Kyoto, Kimura Kazuki had gotten some help from him. Thus, Shironeko had already known of Kimura Kazuki’s intention.

Meanwhile, Harunaka who was standing at the side was dumbfounded. What’s the activation of consanguinity and fusion of the shikigami? This is so bizarre! Moreover, why can’t the passersby see or hear them talking? She was astonished by the mysterious scene and was also exposed to the other side of the world. Thinking of this, she could not help but smile.

Chiba Shiori, looks like I’m one step ahead of you. As an ordinary person, she probably will not understand the mysterious side of senpai. Even though she had such thoughts, she dared not make a sound or speak. All she could do was to maintain an innocent expression that made the others laugh.

Sei Shigeru who stood next to Kimura Kazuki murmured, “Kazuki-sama, haven’t you spoken to her about this?” Judging from Harunaka’s expression, it was obvious that she did not know what was going to happen.

Kimura Kazuki shook his head.

Kimura Kazuki really wanted to tell her. Even Furuhashi Sakurakyu had agreed to it when he mentioned this to her. However, she refused to meet Harunaka and said that they would talk about it when the time came. This was then dragged on for such a long time. Honestly, he knew what Furuhashi Sakurakyu was thinking about. She was probably not ready to meet her daughter and did not know how to face Harunaka.

Even though she had met her daughter in a specter state and had said a lot of heartfelt words to her in her dreams, this was their first time meeting in reality. Thus, it was natural for Furuhashi Sakurakyu to be in an emotional turmoil.

Swiftly, five people and a cat entered Fukuyama Shrine.

Fukuyama Shrine was colossal, otherwise it would not have been able to accommodate such a large flow of visitors. The overall structure of Fukuyama Shrine was also in red and white, displaying a sense of ease despite the strict and solemn atmosphere.

As they stepped into Fukuyama Shrine, an elderly in kariginu and a ruddy complexion came forward and greeted them with respect. He then looked at Shironeko, lowered his head and said in a respectful manner, “Shodai-sama.”

Shironeko nodded its head gently and said, “These honourable guests will be in your care now.” After saying this, it bid everyone goodbye and vanished in a leap.

Everyone remained calm except Harunaka who had shown a surprised look. Ever since they arrived at Fukuyama Shrine, everything was intriguing to her.

As it was already noon and it was time for lunch, Fukuyama brought everyone to the back of the shrine which was the Fukuyama’s home for a feast.

Everyone had a great conversation during the course of the meal. Bun Fukuyama did not ask what Sei Shigeru and Kimura Kazuki’s group were doing in Kyoto. After their lunch, Sei Shigeru brought his grandchildren to the guest room to rest.

Meanwhile, Bun Fukuyama led Kimura Kazuki and Harunaka to another room.

“This is the Consanguinity Room and we have all the materials ready. Thus, you just need to activate the tactical formation with spiritual power in order to fuse the shikigami. It’s safe, efficient and quick.”

Upon hearing this, Harunaka would think that he was a salesman if she had not known his identity beforehand.

“Sorry for the inconvenience caused.”

“Not a problem.” Bun Fukuyama smiled warmly. “You can just call me if there’s anything else you need.”

Having said that, Bun Fukuyama excused himself and left.

Kimura Kazuki then saw Harunaka staring at him in confusion. He led Harunaka into the Consanguinity Room and released Furuhashi Sakurakyu without even considering her will.

Furuhashi Sakurakyu had always been staying in the Sun and Moon Sword. Even though she had claustrophobia, she was not afraid as Kumoko was also in the Sun and Moon Sword with her.

Furuhashi Sakurakyu’s appearance immediately caught Harunaka’s sight. Her bright eyes turned from confusion to shock in a blink of an eye and she muttered subconsciously, “This is....”

“This is your mother.”

Harunaka’s breath quickened upon hearing her senior’s reply. She certainly knew that it was her mother, but... But...

Furuhashi Sakurakyu was also stunned. Didn’t she mention she still needs time before seeing her daughter in reality? How can Kimura Kazuki release her just like this?

Kimura Kazuki did not disturb them as he saw both of them were being choked by emotion. He quietly left and shut the door behind him, leaving them with some personal space to talk it out.

The conversation carried on for a few hours.

As soon as Furuhashi Sakurakyu walked out of the room holding Harunaka’s hand, she saw Kimura Kazuki who was standing outside.

He couldn’t have been standing here for the entire time right?

Upon hearing the noise, Kimura Kazuki turned and looked. There was nothing strange with Furuhashi Sakurakyu’s expression. After all, she had been seeing her daughter in her dreams and was just now meeting her in reality.

However, there were tear stains on Harunaka’s face. Apparently, she had been crying and judging from how swollen her eyes were, it seemed like she was bawling her eyes out.

As soon as Harunaka stepped out of the room, she looked at Kimura Kazuki with a grateful expression and said, “Thank you, senpai! I have heard from my mother that you were the one who found her!” At first, she had a lot to say to express her appreciation. However, she was at a loss for words when she saw her senior and could only thank him.

Kimura Kazuki accepted her gratitude calmly and chuckled. “You’re welcome. But, you are perplexed upon seeing your mother, right?”

“Yeah!” Harunaka nodded her head fervently. On the other hand, Furuhashi Sakurakyu who was at the side had no doubts as Kimura Kazuki had previously explained to her. It was just that she did not tell Harunaka back in the room.

Kimura Kazuki fell silent for a moment. Without beating around the bush, he went straight to the point and said, “You have just been practicing Kendo for a short period of time. Thus, I’m thinking about getting your mother as your shikigami. What do you think?”

At that moment, Harunaka finally snapped into realization. She then asked carefully, “Is this going to leave a detrimental effect on my mother?”

“Of course not.” Kimura Kazuki laughed. “I will not have brought you here if it would.” He would bring Harunaka over as there were only advantages and no disadvantages in the fusion of the shikigami! Otherwise, he would definitely discuss with Harunaka beforehand.

The reason he brought Harunaka over was that Furuhashi Sakurakyu had agreed to this on behalf of her daughter after learning that the fusion of the shikigami could enhance Harunaka’s strength and abilities significantly.

This was a great opportunity for Furuhashi Sakurakyu as she no longer needed to stay in the Sun and Moon Sword. Instead, she could be with her daughter. As a mother, Furuhashi Sakurakyu would naturally prefer to stay by her daughter’s side.
