Chapter 143: 143:Delivering Fight
Since the last few days, Evan had been tracking several people, and out of all, that insane Home Minister Amit Sharma topped the watch list.
Aurora monitored Amit 24!/7, and Evan's doubts were confirmed to be true. That fucker was planning to get rid of him for heaven's sake.
However, what shocked Evan more about the situation was that the fellow spoke to a person who seemed to know everything about it. Evan also noted that if his parents managed to find him, then it was game over for them.
So, what did they mean?
Did these two know who he was and about his parents?
Was it possible that these two had been involved in his kidnapping or his displacement after birth?
So, many thoughts made Evan dizzy.
He was living a simple life, yet for some reason, he had gotten himself involved in a heap load of bullshit.
Fucking hell!
"Maybe these two are the ones behind Henna and Migol's disappearance!"
"Fuck!" Evan cursed and called Aurora.
"Aurora, find out everything about the other person. I want every single piece of information about him."
[Sir, calm down. I have already tracked him, but the number isn't registered under any name. It doesn't seem to be a personal number either. Secondly, the phone wasn't a smartphone, otherwise I would have hacked it and taken some pictures. It was an old Nokia phone.]
"What?" Evan almost jumped from his seat with a scream.
He was shocked to hear that the person was using a keyboard phone in this day and age.
"Do people who use keyboard phones still exist… No, that's not the crux, rather the person of such high status using such an old phone?"
[It's highly likely that he knew the repercussions. Unlike the muddle-headed Home Minister, this person might be a snake with the cunningness of a fox.]
[He is already aware of the capabilities of hackers. He also isn't conceited and is very cautious. Another thing that troubles me is that person's attitude toward you. He doesn't want the people to know, yet he also isn't keen to get rid of you either.]
"Umm!" Evan paused for a moment, trying to calm down his agitated mind.
"Maybe he is afraid that if it's revealed that he is behind it then it's over. After all, as long as I stay alive and my real parents find out, he can just pretend to have no hand in it."
"Who knows if these high-class people have alien tech or some other means that can help in solving murder cases," Evan muttered with an amused smirk.
[That wasn't funny.]
"Cough!" Evan cleared his throat and gave an order.
"Aurora, keep tracking him and find out who this guy has hired to get rid of me."
[Sir, what are you planning to do?] Aurora asked, wanting to know Evan's plans.
A bemused smile flashed on Evan's lips.
"I have always been passive, but this time..."
A fiery, murderous intent gleamed through his eyes.
"I will be taking the lead…"

The next day…
Darkness shrouded everything in the city as the clock ticked closer to midnight.
Evan sat in the backseat of a sleek black car, its tinted windows shielding him from the prying eyes of the bustling streets.
The vehicle, driven by his loyal bodyguard Big Mac, glided smoothly through the streets of BBSR…
Evan, seated in the front passenger seat, briefed him on their destination.
[We're almost there,] Aurora said, her voice calm and composed.
[The hub is located on Raghunath Street, just past the old textile factory. It's an unremarkable building on the outside, but it's heavily secured inside.]
Surprisingly, the task was assigned to local goons in his city by one of Amit Sharma's men, which made it easier for Evan to look less troubled.
If they had hired vicious mercenaries or some underworld overlord, Evan wasn't sure if he could resist.
Evan leaned casually against the wall, a smirk playing on his lips. "It's good that they have so many people. This should be quite entertaining."
Aurora remained silent, her gaze sweeping over the room. Despite the criminal undertones of the place, it was surprisingly modern. The den was equipped with CCTV cameras and high-speed internet. Her AI infiltration had already uncovered that while the facility was well-secured and technologically advanced, it lacked hot weapons like guns or similar armaments.
They had access to any information from this place. Moreover, Evan had been sneaking around the place to observe the group since yesterday.
All of them had fighting strengths ranging from beginner to intermediate; he hadn't spotted any advanced fighters yet, but that didn't mean he wasn't cautious.
Evan had concealed guns and a small dagger on his, ready to use swiftly in case of trouble.
Currently, they stood a bit far away from the place, where there were no CCTV cameras.
Big Mac glanced at Evan through the rearview mirror. "Do you want me to come with you, sir?"
With an unreadable expression on his face, Evan shook his head. "No, stay here. I don't want to draw unnecessary attention. I'll handle this myself."
Moreover, he didn't want something to happen to this guy. With his high metabolism, Evan knew that no matter the wound he would survive as long as his heart and brain were fine.
Big Mac nodded and turned his attention back to the road. Meanwhile, Aurora continued, [Be cautious. We don't know what kind of resistance you might encounter, sir.]
"Stay on standby and wait for further instructions. Also, are others ready?"
"Yes!" Mac replied.
Evan nodded and instructed him to park in a desolate spot.
Evan's eyes remained focused on the approaching hub, his demeanor cold and detached.
He had no intention of leaving without achieving his objective. As the car pulled up to the nondescript building, Evan stepped out, carrying a box of pizza.
He approached the small security booth that guarded the gate leading in and pressed the intercom button.
"Delivery," he announced smoothly.
A tense silence followed before a wary voice crackled through the speaker. "Who is it?"
