The Tycoon's Odyssey

Chapter 214: 214:The Primordial World

The neon lights of the tech district flickered as eager shoppers streamed through the bustling streets. The crowd was particularly noticeable at the Omega Gaming Inc. flagship store, where anticipation buzzed in the air.

Rows of sleek, futuristic Game VR pods were on display, but today, the focus was on registering for a chance to own one of the coveted machines.

Inside the store, a diverse range of customers, from dedicated gamers to curious tech enthusiasts alike, crowded around registration counters. The sales representatives, dressed in branded Omega Gaming attire, enthusiastically assisted with explaining the features of the Game VR pods.

"Can you believe this?" a young man said to his friend. "We're actually signing up to get a chance to own one of these. The gameplay sounds unreal!"

"Yeah, the idea of playing for hours without any strain is amazing," his friend replied. "I've already finished the registration. Fingers crossed we get selected."

The sales representatives handed out informational brochures and answered questions with excitement. "This is going to revolutionize the gaming world forever," one rep said. "Imagine playing Primordial World without the usual headaches or back pain!"

The customers chatted eagerly, their anticipation building as more people signed up, all hoping to be chosen.

Similar scenes were playing out all over the world, where with Macrosoft support, stores operation had been handled quite well and distribution channels were catered, allowing countless users to prebook the pods smoothly.

_____

In a huge room filled with gaming memorabilia, a young man who had a huge fan base following under the name Immortal Sin, eagerly awaited his new Game VR pod. Known as one of the top gamers in the country, he had been selected as a beta tester for Primordial World, and his anticipation was through the roof.

He was one of the exclusive members who had been granted access to the beta version.

Carefully, he unpacked the pod, revealing its external appearance. The pod was a marvel of modern design: a sleek, oval-shaped shell shimmered in a metallic finish that shifted colors subtly under the light. Its surface was a deep, iridescent blue, accentuated by thin, glowing strips that pulsed softly, giving it a futuristic look.

Immortal Sin couldn't help but exclaim, "This is incredible. I've never seen anything like this before!"

Opening the pod revealed an equally impressive internal layout. Plush memory foam padding lined the seats, moulded perfectly to the body. The seats were designed for maximum comfort, with an adjustable recline feature that allowed Immortal Sin to find his ideal position, while the surrounding interior was a soft, ambient light that added a calming effect, enhancing the sense of relaxation.

"This looks so comfortable," he murmured, running his hand over the padding. "I can't wait to test it out. No more back pain or eye strain even after long hours of gaming!"

Settling into the pod, Immortal Sin adjusted the seat to cradle him comfortably. He marveled at the smooth, ergonomic contours designed for hours of uninterrupted play. "Alright, let's get this party started," he muttered with a grin before activating the pod. Immediately, the lights dimmed, and the immersive VR environment began to load.

The transition from reality to the game world was seamless. Immortal Sin felt a rush of excitement as he prepared to dive into the Primordial World, knowing that he could dive into the adventure, explore and conquer without worrying about the usual constraints of physical fatigue or discomfort. "Here we go," he murmured, eager to begin his adventure into the world materializing before him.

[Would you like to proceed with that name, or would you change it?]

"I will change it. Make it Immortal Sins."

[Immortal Sin player signed up.]

[Would you like to keep the same facial features or modify them?]

Naman paused as he fell into deep thought. Knowing that it was the beta version, he decided to stick with his real appearance.

"Keep my current appearance."

As Naman, known in the gaming world as Immortal Sin, entered the game, he found himself in a stark white space.

Across him sat a humanoid figure, its form strangely devoid of distinct features; with a bald head, completely white eyes, and a smooth, unadorned body that exuded an unnerving sense of artificiality.

Naman's initial confusion gave way to questions. "What are you?" he asked, his voice betraying his unease. "And where am I?"

Before the humanoid figure could respond, a notification flashed before his eyes:

[The World is undergoing transformation to align with the primordial forces.]

[You are the chosen one.]

"Chosen one? For what?" Naman wondered aloud, baffled by the cryptic message. His questions seemed to dissolve into the void, unanswered.

The humanoid's mechanical voice broke the silence, its tone as dispassionate as ever. "Greetings, Immortal Sin. I am the entity assigned to guide you through this transition. This space serves as your introduction to the new reality. Do you have any questions?"

Naman's mind raced. The concept of primordial forces was foreign to him, and being called CHOSEN only added to his confusion. "What is this new reality?" he asked, trying to make sense of the situation.

"The reality is known as 'The System,'" the humanoid explained. "You have been brought here because your world has reached the necessary threshold for entering into the multiverse."

Naman's eyes darted to the screen that had appeared before him, detailing his new status:

Naman reviewed the details, trying to make sense of the unfamiliar terms and numbers. He noted that his stats were balanced, with his Perception standing out. The system's reference to his race as "Human (G)" hinted at a basic tier, which did little to soothe his curiosity about the multiverse.
