Chapter 242 - 242 Moved
Chapter 242: Moved
After dinner, Yang Qingyin took the initiative to suggest a walk on the nearby grassland.
Luo Ziling naturally would not refuse.
Xiaoli very considerately did not follow close behind them but instead trailed far behind.
Without Ye Xiaoli, the third wheel, by his side, Luo Ziling naturally became bolder and took Yang Qingyin’s hand quite naturally.
Yang Qingyin didn’t refuse and even actively grasped Luo Ziling’s hand, intertwining their fingers.
However, while holding hands with Luo Ziling and strolling on the grassland, Yang Qingyin thought of what Ling Ruonan had told her that afternoon and couldn’t help feeling a bit down.
Luo Ziling did not notice Yang Qingyin’s mood because it was too dark, and he wasn’t paying attention to her face.
“The Mid-Autumn Festival is in a few days, the moon should be quite big,” Luo Ziling looked up at the sky and said with a bit of regret, “The clouds are too thick, the moon and stars are all gone.”
“You also said you’d get up in the middle of the night to watch the starry sky with me,” Yang Qingyin woke up from her pondering, looked up at the sky and also said with a bit of regret, “It looks like we won’t be able to see the stars tonight.”
“Oh, it seems to be raining,” raindrops began to fall from the sky, Luo Ziling opened his other hand, and immediately a few raindrops landed on his palm, “It’s really raining.”
“It seems it is raining,” Yang Qingyin also felt the raindrops.
She felt a little dismayed in her heart.
Could this be a bad omen?
Soon the raindrops grew more frequent.
“Let’s go back,” Yang Qingyin said with a sense of gloom, “It’s raining, if we don’t go back now we will get soaked.”
“Okay,” Luo Ziling readily agreed, but he did not immediately move. Instead, he let go of Yang Qingyin’s hand and took off the jacket he was wearing.
The jacket was rainproof and had a hood.
Yang Qingyin was only wearing an ordinary coat, which wouldn’t keep out the rain.
“Put on the jacket,” Luo Ziling simply helped Yang Qingyin put on the jacket without further discussion.
Under Luo Ziling’s dominance, Yang Qingyin instantly became an obedient girl, stretching out her arms submissively. As Luo Ziling was zipping it up for her, she suddenly leaned in and kissed him on the face, then giggled, “You’re such a warm man.”
“Don’t tease me,” Luo Ziling said while putting the hood on her, and lightly tugged at her ponytail, “Tease me again, and I might have to punish you.”
“Hmph, I compliment you and you even complain,” Yang Qingyin sniffed with her cute nose in dissatisfaction, “You’re kind of annoying.”
“The reward isn’t enough, so I have objections,” Luo Ziling pointed at his own face.
“I’m not dealing with you,” Yang Qingyin, understanding Luo Ziling’s hint and blushing, quickly took a few steps forward, then waved at Luo Ziling, “Let’s hurry back, the rain might get heavier soon.”
“Are you jinxing us?” The rain indeed started pouring, Luo Ziling complained and then immediately started running while holding Yang Qingyin’s hand.
“You’re soaked,” Yang Qingyin had also noticed the rain was getting heavier. After Luo Ziling took off his windbreaker, leaving him in only a thick shirt that was now drenched, she hurriedly suggested, “Should we find a place to take shelter from the rain?”
“No need, let’s just get back to the hotel. The rain might keep coming down.” Luo Ziling didn’t linger and started running with Yang Qingyin in tow.
Yang Qingyin, wearing Luo Ziling’s waterproof windbreaker, was completely covered by the oversized garment, from her upper body to just above her small feet, with only her shoes getting wet. But after running for a while, she couldn’t keep going and gasped for air. Holding tightly to Luo Ziling’s hand, she called out with a touch of embarrassment, “Junior, I can’t go on, I’m exhausted.”
Luo Ziling didn’t hesitate and scooped up Yang Qingyin in his arms, princess-carrying her with her head protected in front of him.
The wind happened to blow from behind, so Luo Ziling leaned forward, blocking both the wind and the rain.
“Junior, put me down. I can walk myself,” Yang Qingyin, though already carried by Luo Ziling multiple times, was feeling less shy and nervous now. But with Luo Ziling carrying her at such a fast pace, she still felt embarrassed.
Not only had Luo Ziling taken off his windbreaker for her to wear, but he was also carrying her and using his body as a shield from the wind and rain, which deeply touched her.
“It’s fine, you’re so light anyway. I can carry both of us,” Luo Ziling joked with a chuckle.
Surprisingly, Yang Qingyin didn’t get annoyed and didn’t say anything more, just hugged his waist tightly and rested her head in his chest.
Luo Ziling carried Yang Qingyin swiftly back to the hotel, with Ye Xiaoli rushing behind them, but Luo Ziling, despite carrying Yang Qingyin, wasn’t slower than Ye Xiaoli. This astonishing speed took Ye Xiaoli by surprise.
Of course, she knew Luo Ziling was skilled, but seeing him run so swiftly while carrying Yang Qingyin alone indicated that his physical strength was incredibly remarkable. Combining this with what she knew from before, she concluded that he was an abnormally strong fighter and that she was probably no match for him.
Ye Xiaoli was worried Luo Ziling might harm Yang Qingyin. If Luo Ziling was extremely powerful, then she was definitely concerned about potential problems.
Luo Ziling wasn’t concerned with Ye Xiaoli at all. Once they entered the hotel lobby as he sprinted carrying Yang Qingyin, he finally put her down.
Yang Qingyin, still in Luo Ziling’s arms, was breathing heavily, but Luo Ziling seemed unfazed, his breathing only a bit deeper, with nothing particularly out of the ordinary.
“Running so fast must have worn you out, right?” While going up the elevator together, Yang Qingyin, looking at Luo Ziling’s half-wet clothes, said with embarrassment, “You’re all wet.”
“I grew up in an area over two thousand meters above sea level and often went to places five or six thousand meters high, so my lung capacity is larger than the average person’s. I can stay underwater for at least ten minutes without surfacing, and I don’t easily get winded even after intense exercise,” Luo Ziling boasted proudly before adding, “Me getting wet is no big deal, but if you were soaked, that would be trouble. A delicate girl like you getting wet would surely catch a cold and look quite unseemly with a runny nose.”
“Aren’t you a doctor?” Yang Qingyin looked at Luo Ziling with a teasing smile, “With you here, I have nothing to worry about.”
“Doctors aren’t all-powerful,” after using his room card to open the door, Luo Ziling immediately instructed, “Go change your clothes, and then have some hot tea.”
“You fuss more than my grandma,” Yang Qingyin rolled her eyes at Luo Ziling.
Luo Ziling was immediately stifled, but just as he felt downcast, Yang Qingyin suddenly reached out to hug him, then pecked him on the lips.
“Hee hee, someone was not satisfied just now, are you now?”
Luo Ziling was dumbstruck.
Seeing his reaction, Yang Qingyin blushed and ran off.
Of course, the two of them, immersed in their tenderness, had no idea that a huge storm was about to unfold.
