Titan Rising Online: World Breaker

Chapter 228 228: The 10th Wave III

The truth of the matter was that Cole could not do this all day like he just said he could. He was finding it hard to breathe at the moment and his vision was swimming. The pain aside, it did not look like he was going to be getting out of this one unscathed, but then again Cole was cockroach. His ability to survive and withstand anything thrown his way was so far unmatched by anyone in any of the floors or back in his reality….. at least not that he has seen.

So when [Wrath Drive ] was activated, Cole did not attempt to separate himself from the Baneling Boss that had half his arm shoved into Cole's chest. Instead he smashed the pommel of [Black Malakai] into the side of his head, his eyes widening in horror as the blade just bounced off within doing anything at all, a dull metallic clang heard in the process as the Baneling boss chuckled. But Cole did not let that stop him, he had the perfect recipe for dealing with overpowered Boss characters.

[Sin Eater]

At first the drain was slow, even with Cole putting all of his attention an energy to it. But he could understand that, he was facing off against an enemy that was exponentially more power than him. The fact that he was not dead yet was because he could feel his body trying to heal around the arm in his chest, and much more than that, the Baneling wanted to toy with him. Cole knew exactly what it was aiming for, this was a tactic to kill the spirits of the rest of the defenders, to make them feel as if they were up against a superior opponent and odds that they couldn't even win against.

For Cole, he had no idea who this Baneling boss was, he also knew there were supposed to be two of them. But still standing in front of this Boss and being held at his mercy like this was the most perfect iteration of ultimate power Cole has ever seen, and it was not something even he would be able to bring to bear at this stage. To utterly and completely dominate an individual….at least In Cole's sake only forma few seconds.

At first it was a grunt, as the grin or at the very least Cole assumed it was a grin and not a fanged snarl. He couldn't even tell if he was looking at a face or an armor. This was the reason why he said the Boss reminded him of old school final fantasy bosses. Cole loved the remakes even till this day, and with VR technology they were still a classic up until this day. But back to the matter at hand.

"Wh-what are you doing?" that was when Cole knew he got him, and the foolish boss did not back off immediately, and that was when felt it, and influx of energy that seemingly felt endless. He chuckled as he took a step backward and then another, but through it all he held [Black Malakai] in his right hand while his left was still on the shoulder of the Baneling boss. He pulled back completely until the entire bloody arm was out, and the massive hole in his chest closed up in the blink of an eye.

But the deluge of energy was not stopping. It was like being on an extremely powerful drug trip, like smoking 5 bags of loud, weed and doing Ice on top of it all. The highest of all trips and Cole did not want it to end. So he drew until what was an insurmountable mountain to all, was brought down to his knees, his entire body shivering as it seemed to lose a few pounds every second and all Cole was doing in that moment was touching him.

"You see I'm not a worm, I'm something much more dangerous. In a fight between a Cobra and a tiger who do you think would win. Sure the tiger has the power and perhaps the speed, but even at the cost of it's own life the Cobra would win that fight. So no sir, I'm no work….. I'm something much worse, maybe in your next life…. Which you definitely won't be having, you'd think twice before fucking with me." Cole said as he prepared to use [Sin Reaper] along with [Sin Eater] that would have been the proverbial nail on the coffin, if the Baneling boss had not screamed out.

"Appalia! Save Me! Save Me My Love!" needless to say, she answered his call. But unlike him, she did not have the speed the first boss had, and this time Cole was prepared enough that even before his [Sin Seeking Eyes] gave off a warning, this time his vision even pulsing red in the direction the danger was coming from, Cole was ready.

But even if he was ready it did not mean he could match up to the new threat that appeared. She showed up on top of the wall, swinging a whip in his direction. Cole raised [Black Malakai] as the whip smashed into the blade with so much force that Cole was smashed away, his hand and his sword shaking from the force behind her strike. The second boss made to go save the first only for Delarosa to appear as she swung her sword, releasing an Ivy green energy wave that smashed into the chest of the second boss and flung her off the wall.

Now that the first boss was no longer being suppressed by Cole's [Sin Eater] skill, he swung his arm, releasing a beam of energy and light that completely devastated the top of the wall. He was mainly aiming in the direction Cole had been thrown in, as extra explosions arose from the destroyed equipment on the wall. Many were able to get out of the way of the destruction, but just as many were caught in it, as screams and the smell of burning flesh filled the air.

The Boss jumped off the wall, eager to escape as his eyes frantically searched for Cole. But Cole was no where to be found, at least no in the traditional sense. As the Boss fell down to the ground, half way through, Cole blasted out of his shadow that was reflected on the wall. If it was daytime perhaps there would not have been a shadow for Cole to exploit but it was still early in the evening and the entire place was lit up like Christmas… there were shadows everywhere. And there was absolutely no where this boss can run, that Cole wouldn't find him.
