Break time arrived, and Noah headed to Ms.Elara's class to do the class test.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Entering the classroom, he found Ms. Elara seated at her desk, a stack of papers neatly arranged in front of her.
She looked up as he walked in, a slight smile gracing her lips.
"Right on time," she said, gesturing to the desk directly in front of her. "I've prepared the test. It's a standard paper, just like the ones your classmates have been practising with."
Noah nodded, sitting down and pulling out a pen.
She slid the paper across the desk. "Alright, your time starts now."
Noah immediately got to work. His pen moved swiftly, the sound of its strokes filling the otherwise quiet room.
Ms. Elara watched from her desk, her curiosity piqued.
The way he wrote straight after glancing at the question. It was almost as though he had memorized every formula and technique.
Seven minutes in, Noah was already halfway through the paper.
Ms. Elara leaned back in her chair, her arms folded. "Does he ever get nervous?" she thought, slightly amused by his calm demeanour.
Most students would at least hesitate before tackling the more complex questions, but Noah breezed through them with ease.
At the twelve-minute mark, he set his pen down and leaned back slightly, his hand brushing through his hair.
"Done," he said, sliding the paper across the desk toward Ms. Elara.
She blinked, surprised. "You still had three minutes left."
"I told you fifteen was enough," he replied, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
Ms. Elara picked up the paper and scanned through his answers.
"This is... impressive," she admitted, setting the paper down. "I don't expect anything below a 95% mark on the real exam from you, well done."
"Thanks," Noah said, standing up to leave the classroom.
...
As lunchtime arrived, the cafeteria buzzed with the usual chatter. Noah stepped inside and immediately spotted Aiden, who was already standing in the food queue with a tray piled high with what could only be described as an embarrassing amount of food.
Aiden's eyes lit up when he saw Noah. "Yo, bro! Over here!" he called out, waving like he was stranded on a desert island and Noah was his rescue boat. "Hurry up and cut in!"
Noah smirked, shaking his head at his friend's antics. He sauntered over to the line, ignoring the stares and whispers of students around him.
As he approached, he noticed the girl standing behind Aiden, her glasses slipping down her nose as she clutched her tray nervously.
"Excuse me, can I get in?" Noah said with a charming smile as he stepped in front of her.
The girl blinked, her face turning bright red. "N-no problem," she stammered, her heart racing.
"Thank you,"
Aiden leaned toward Noah, whispering loudly enough for half the queue to hear, "You just made her day, bro. Don't be surprised if she writes you a love letter later."
Noah chuckled but didn't reply.
They grabbed their food quickly and made their way to a table near the corner of the hall.
As they sat down, Aiden wasted no time digging in, alternating between bites of a loaded burger and a mound of fries. Between mouthfuls, he leaned forward conspiratorially. "Yo, I heard Ms. Elara wanted to talk to you privately earlier. Bro, spill it. What did you do?"
Noah raised an eyebrow, sipping his drink calmly. "It's nothing. She just wanted me to take a test."
Aiden squinted at him suspiciously, his chewing slowing down. "Yeah, sure. A test. You think I'm dumb?"
"You said it, not me," Noah replied with a smirk.
Aiden ignored the jab, leaning closer. "C'mon, man. Be real. Ms. Elara is, like, every guy's dream. Half the dudes here would trade their left arm for five minutes alone with her. And you just casually stroll into private meetings with her? Do you have a death wish? People are gonna hate you."
Noah sighed, shaking his head. "Relax, man. It's not like that. She's just doing her job."
"Yeah, sure," Aiden muttered, rolling his eyes. "Next thing I know, you'll be telling me she's inviting you to 'extra credit' sessions after school."
Noah smiled. "You really need to stop reading those trashy romance novels."
Aiden grinned, pointing a fry at Noah. "Say what you want, bro, but I'm telling you—mark my words. If you end up on someone's hit list, don't say I didn't warn you."
Noah shook his head, amused. "I've been on it many times, a new one won't hurt. You are just being an idiot,"
"And you're suspicious," Aiden shot back, stuffing a handful of fries into his mouth.
As they continued their meal, Aiden yapped into a story about how he almost got caught sneaking food from the teacher's lounge last week.
Aiden smacked the table. "Anyway, moral of the story—don't trust anyone who says 'help yourself' if you're not actually supposed to help yourself."
"Profound as always, Aiden," Noah said dryly, finishing the last bite of his lunch.
"Hey, you know you love my wisdom," Aiden replied, grinning.
"Sure, keep telling yourself that," Noah said as the bell rang.

"Ring-Ring"
As the final school bell rang out, Noah walked into Emily's primary school and found her waiting by the gates. The moment she spotted him, her face lit up.
"Alright, where do you want to go?" Noah asked, crouching slightly to meet her excited gaze.
Without missing a beat, Emily pumped her fist in the air. "The mall! Let's go to the mall!" she exclaimed, pointing dramatically as if leading a charge into battle.
Noah chuckled, shaking his head. "Alright then, commander," he said, standing up and ruffling her hair. "To the mall, we go."
The two headed to his car, and Emily hopped into the front seat, grinning like she'd just won the lottery.
But as they pulled out of the school parking lot, Emily's expression changed.
She leaned back in her seat, crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes at him suspiciously. "Hey, are you sure this is your friend's car?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.
Noah glanced at her, raising an eyebrow. "Of course it is. Why do you ask?"
Emily tapped her chin thoughtfully like a detective piecing together a case. "Because…" she said slowly, "you drive this car a lot. Like, a lot-lot. Almost more than him, I bet."
Noah smirked, turning the steering wheel smoothly. "Well, maybe I just have a very generous friend."
Emily squinted at him, unconvinced. "Generous, huh? Sounds to me like you stole it."
"Stole it?" Noah burst out laughing. "What kind of brother do you think I am? A car thief?"
Emily leaned closer, her voice dropping to a dramatic whisper. "The best car thief."
Noah shook his head. "Alright, Detective Emily, you got me. I totally stole this car just to take you to the mall."
Emily gasped, covering her mouth with both hands. "I knew it! I'm an accomplice now! We're both going to jail!"
Noah glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, unable to hide his grin. "Relax. If we get caught, I'll just tell them you made me do it."
Emily gasped even louder, clutching her chest as if he'd just betrayed her. "You wouldn't dare!"
"Oh, I absolutely would," Noah said, nodding solemnly.
Emily pouted, crossing her arms again. "Hmph. You're the worst big brother ever."
"And you're the most dramatic little sister ever," Noah shot back, smiling.
By the time they reached the mall parking lot, Emily was bouncing in her seat, ready for whatever adventure awaited them inside.
"Okay, let's go!" she exclaimed, throwing open the car door.
Noah chuckled, shaking his head as he followed her. "Lead the way, commander. This is your mission."
Inside the mall, Emily's eyes lit up like fireworks as they wandered through the high-end toy store.
She darted from shelf to shelf, her hands brushing over everything.
"Noah, look at this!" she exclaimed, holding it up proudly. Her excitement faded slightly as she flipped the tag. "Four hundred dollars?" Her eyes widened in disbelief. "For a fake dog? I could buy a real one for that price!"
She carefully placed it back on the shelf, but Noah picked it up again and added it to the basket.
"Noah, wait! That's way too expensive," she protested.
He smirked, shaking his head. "You like it, don't you? Then it's yours."
"But—"
"No buts. You're not putting anything down today. If you like it, we're buying it."
Emily looked conflicted but quickly moved on, her hands brushing over a Lego set with a city layout.
She hesitated, flipping the tag again. "This one's $350! Nope, back it goes—"
Before she could finish, Noah grabbed it and tossed it into the basket. "Nice try, Em."
Emily stared at him, wide-eyed. "You're crazy! That's too much!"
Noah grinned, patting her head. "Not for my little sister, it's not."
"You're going to make us broke!" Emily exclaimed, exasperated but smiling as they walked to the checkout counter.
Later, in the children's clothing store, Emily's eyes fell on a beautiful frilly pink dress displayed on a mannequin. She gazed at it wistfully before shaking her head. "It's too much," she murmured, stepping back.
Noah noticed and crouched down beside her. "What's wrong?"
"It's pretty, but I don't want to waste your money," she said, biting her lip.
"Em," Noah said firmly, "try it on."
"But—"
"No buts. I want to see how it looks on you. Go."
Emily beamed and darted to the fitting room. A few minutes later, she emerged, spinning in the dress with a grin. "How do I look?"
"Like a princess," Noah said, smiling warmly. "We're buying it."
"But—"
"No arguments," Noah said, ruffling her hair. "You look amazing."
Emily's face lit up as they left the store with bags full of toys and clothes. "Thank you, Brother! You are the best!"
He ruffled her hair and smiled.
On the way back home, he bought her ice cream which made her even happier.
