Chapter 130 - What I came for

Chapter 130: What I came for

Bill did not rush to reach his goal.

What he needed to do was certain.

“I thought I should get back what was mine. To get to the position which my family wanted me to have.”

What he needed were determination and time.

Bill hid first. He had gained enough information. It was all that his family had kept to themselves in the previous life, and now, Bill was the only one who knew everything.

It didn’t require a ton of preparation. After consuming all of it, Bill revealed himself and saw it.

“They were scared.”

“Scared of you?”

“No.” Bill shook his head, “Each other.”

Australia was in chaos.

“They drove me and my family out, but... they fought over the empty throne.”

Cactus Bill and his family was the most powerful group. Without them, all the other forces were equal in power and they found it hard to fight against each other because that would result in a heavy loss of manpower.

But to add to Bill’s irony, none of them liked the situation.

“It was easy to defeat each them. Then I realized I was wrong again.”

Until then, he thought that beasts were monsters that were out of control.

“They weren’t always like that. They were simpler animals than normal humans since they could only be satisfied by two ways.”

To become carnivores, or to obey another.

“They do not enjoy fighting. If they do not stand on top, it’s better for them to obey. There aren’t many exceptions. I didn’t achieve many victories, but they surrendered. Some fled while others were captured by the ones who surrendered.”

Bill smiled bitterly.

“And among them, I was able to find the man who tortured my father.”

“Did you get revenge?”

Dohyuk wished Bill had done so, although it wasn’t particularly because Dohyuk was sad for Bill’s family, or that the man deserved it. The answer Bill gave was the opposite of what Dohyuk wished for.

“No. I forgave him.”

“...”

‘Dammit.’

“Taking lives for past vengeance does not do anything.”

“That’s... different from what I saw minutes ago.”

Even now, Bill’s hand still was dripping with blood and the brains of a dead man.

“That was necessary.”

“To crush a man’s head with the grasp of a hand?”

“Its an example, to have everyone know that it is wrong to attack you without my permission. That is fear. The price of one man’s life, for the best result.”

“You think you’re logical, but you’re just a mad man. All you did was to make people scared.”

Dohyuk’s voice grew louder in his anger. He did not know what Cactus Bill was like before, but it didn’t matter. The giant in front of him was already broken.

If he had taken revenge, if he had killed the man who killed his father, Dohyuk would have related to him. Even if that was the way of a beast, Dohyuk could understand it.

However, what he just said now was unreasonable.

“Of course, I am different from them.”

Bill grabbed the corner of the bar. And without much effort, he pulled out a chunk of metal from the table.

“I control them not only with fear.”

With an annoying, screeching sound, Bill began to form the metal in his hand. The shape it took was what Dohyuk recognized, it was the bone structure of a human. It was a strange thought, but if that was put into a human, it seemed like it would cover all the bones.

“...”

Dohyuk gasped.

“God... dammit...”

He realized he was correct. The man who got his head crushed was not made of metal. Then, why was he sucked into Bill’s hand?

It was obvious that Bill had a way to freely control metal.

The answer was simple. The metal bone structure Dohyuk was seeing, was probably inside the man.

Bill looked at Dohyuk frown and crushed the bones again to reform it back into the table.

“The hostility you have towards me right now... is just. If I didn’t go through the corruption, I would have been the same.”

“Then you must understand what I’m thinking also.”

“Probably.”

“Let me tell you first. I’m not going to back away.”

“Did you think I was going to tell you to get lost?”

“Maybe... at least I know that you will not like fighting with me. You did not go through the corruption and if you understand my feelings toward you, I’m sure you do not want both of us fighting against each other... Let me ask you this.”

Dohyuk drew a deep breath and asked, “Are you going to keep putting that metal thing into people?”

“What I want is control over people.”

Bill answered with different words. “And that is the best way of control I know of.”

“And for those that are not corrupt?”

“No need to think about it. They don’t exist.”

“They do here. My...”

“They will cease to exist.”

Dohyuk stopped talking as Bill continued on.

“I was successful in corrupting them, without killing any, until now.”

“You f*cking bastard.”

And with that, the table churned, and all the metal jumped at Dohyuk, swallowing him into a giant metal ball.

“...”

Bill then reached into the prison he had just made. However, before he could reach, the surface ripped apart and Dohyuk’s foot shot past Bill’s hand and kicked his face. His face was thrown back as blood splattered all over. His body continued to go back towards the deck.

It wasn’t only because of Dohyuk’s attack as it was partly because Bill threw himself back to avoid being attacked again.

“You pig.”

Dohyuk growled as he ripped apart the metal ball that encased him. There was no time to waste as the entire ship was now trembling. Dohyuk then jumped out, and as his foot stepped onto the deck, he jumped again, over to the docks. Dohyuk rolled on the silver floor, but it was the right choice to make.

If he did not jump, he would have been swallowed by the entire ship.

“AHHHHHH!”

“RUNN!!”

People began to shout. They probably all knew the meaning behind the change in all the ships.

Dohyuk rose.

“Wow.”

There were no more ships, but about ten meters above the sea, there were metal balls floating above it. Those used to be the ships, and they were in the middle of changing.

Soon, they began to change into various things. One was creating arms and legs like a human while another created six legs like an insect. Another was shaped into a pyramid, with tentacles at the bottom. The only thing in common was that they were big, and they targeted Dohyuk.

-I’m not the same.

What sounded was not a human voice.

-I am different, even after the corruption.

From the human figure, there was a screeching and annoying sound.

-And you will be the same as me.

“You’re mad,” Dohuk responded as he stared at the metal giant coming right at him.

‘That’s too much.’

Even if Dohyuk’s stats were at the top, this was on a different scale. There was no way to win in hand-to-hand combat. The giant reached out for Dohyuk with incredible speed. It seemed impossible to hit it back. Maybe dodging was all he could do. Yet Dohyuk did not dodge.

In the next moment, the giant palm covered Dohyuk.

And it was sliced in two.

“You think... I would come here alone with nothing but a dirtbag?” Dohyuk mumbled as he lowered his leg. On the palm of the metal giant, there was still a dark red glow from the slice. Everything had a weakness and that also applied to godly power. That’s why Dohyuk came into Mayhab’s region.

In this region, he had the strongest flame that would work against any kind of metal.

“Kasha.”

There was the Goddess of Fire, who had grown together with him for the past five months.

As Dohyuk called her name, he readied himself.

“Let’s burn them down. All of them.”

The flames engulfed Dohyuk’s body.
