[Location: Alarics Jeep, outside of Mystic Falls] [3rd POV]
'Well this is awkward' Talia thought. She was sitting next to Rafael, who she could feel glance at her consistently, probably due to her obvious dislike of his friend. She didn't really care about what he thought of her though, and right now she simply wanted to finish the quest and then get back to the school.
"So...Talia, what other sort of spells do you have?" Alaric asked, wanting to know a bit more about Talia's spells, and just how strong they are.
"Uh, I got all sorts really. I have simple ones for housework, like cleaning the dishes. But I also have ones used to defend myself, like a shield charm. It's pretty wide reaching, and I have a spell for most situations" Talia replied, giving Alaric a bit of information while hiding the truly important stuff, like the killing curse.
The rest of the car ride was rather silent, and pretty awkward for all parties. But after a while of driving, they finally came to a stop at their destination. Getting out of the jeep, Talia noted the caution tape on the ground, before turning and following after Hope who had already begun to walk towards the forest.
Walking through the forest, they were silent for a little while before Hope began to speak "I don't know why he's still out here. He has a whole days lead on us. He could be anywhere"
Rafael couldn't help hut reply "Maybe 'cause he doesn't have a reason to run" Talia sighed as she sensed an argument coming along.
Scoffing Hope replied "Logic that would be perfectly believable if he hadn't, you know, ran" As Hope finished that statement, the sound of a twig snapping caught Alarics attention.
"Wait-shh! You hear that?" The sound of footsteps caught Talia's attention, before Alaric continued "Someones here"
After saying that Alaric ran off to where the noise had came from, causing Talia to groan before following after him. Upon reaching him Talia turned and caught sight of the target of her hunt, the dragon. While she really had the desire to kill it right now, she also knew that it would look pretty bad on her part if she just attacked a seemingly innocent lady out of nowhere. So for now, she was forced to wait.
"I-it's okay. I-I'm not gonna hurt you" Alaric said, trying to calm down the lady. While Talia rolled her eyes and couldn't help but softly say "This isn't completely suspicious or anything" This caused Hope to turn to her with a raised eyebrow, before turning back as Alaric began to speak again.
"Were you on the bus? Can you tell us what happened?" Alaric asked.
Hope couldn't help but ask "Is she a survivor?"
"Uh, smells like it. She reeks of smoke" Rafael added. Talia rolled her eyes at this, as she didn't understand how they didn't at all question this obviously suspicious woman.
"Anyone else think this is incredibly suspicious? The fact that she reeks of smoke, conveniently isn't harmed in anyway from the fire, has some rather out of place clothing, and can't understand us" Talia commented, not understanding how they aren't questioning this either.
They turned to her, and Hope couldn't help but realize that Talia was right, this woman was incredibly suspicious, and looked very out of place. But it seemed that Alaric did not share that sentiment, as he ignored what Talia said and spoke "I think she's in shock. Look, I need to get her to the police so she can get some medical attention. Uh, why don't you three go ahead? Don't engage. We don't know how dangerous Landon is"
Rafael frowned at this "He's not dangerous..." "I said don't engage" Alaric cut him off.
Hope hearing this sighed "Come on" Shrugging, Talia followed after Hope, while also deciding how to take care of the dragon inwardly 'A diffindo with the Elder Wand should be enough to severe it's head, if that doesn't work than I guess I can just blow the thing up with a bombarda'
Walking through the forest with Rafael and Hope, Talia listened as the two began to speak with one another "What exactly happened on that bus?" Rafael asked.
"No one knows. It's like something incinerated it from the inside" "Bet you it's a dragon" Talia added with a smirk on her face.
"A dragon" Hope deadpanned. "Well we have Vampires, witches, and werewolves, why not dragons?"
Hope rolled her eyes at this, before Rafael began to speak again "Look, whatever he did, I know there's a good explanation. He's the most loyal friend I've ever had. He was there for me on the worst day of my life. After my girlfriend died, he's the only thing that kept me going. So let me get that knife back for you and then we both can hear him out, okay?"
"Appreciate the passion, but maybe you should exert some of it making new friends" Talia cracked a smile at this, trying not to let out a giggle.
"So I can be as popular and well-liked as you?" Rafael said with a scoff, before continuing "Yeah, I've been at the school for two days and I've already heard all about Hope Mikeaelson and her sunny disposition"
"Well that's just not true. Cause I'm friends with Hope, she like my only friend, so she's plenty popular with me" Talia said, causing Hope to smile slightly.
Rolling his eyes at Talia, Rafael began to speak again "I'll get you the stupid, not-stupid knife, and the answers you want. I promise"
"And why should we believe you?" Hope asked for both her and Talia.
"Because I don't lie" The second Rafael said this Talia snorted while Hope chuckled.
"Everybody lies" Hope said with a smile an almost mocking smile on her face.
Seeing the look Rafael was giving her, Hope sighed "He's in the root cellar. You have three minutes to do this your way"
"Wait, the headmaster said don't engage" Rafael said, before Hope began "Two minutes, 59. Two minutes, 58" After beginning her count down Rafael ran off to find Landon.
Talia turned to Hope with a smirk "You totally just lied to him"
"I did say that everyone lies" Hope replied with a grin. "So, you've been rather quiet" Hope pointed out, while turning to Talia.
"Well...I did point out some very obvious problems with that sus woman. I also find watching you bickering to be cute" Talia said with a teasing grin, causing Hope to blush.
Hope shook off the blush before walking towards the cellar, Talia sighed at this, before following after her. Walking down into the cellar, the two caught the tail end of Rafael and Landon's conversation.
"That wasn't me" Landon said in denial, before Hope made the two of them known, by asking "then who was it?"
"You said three minutes" Rafael said turning to Hope, who rolled her eyes "Like I said,
people lie. Coporis impetu"
She chanted, a neat little spell she knew, that threw and held Landon against the wall of the
cellar.
"Where's the knife?" Hope asked, a serious expression on her face.
"I don't have it. I must've lost it when I ran" Landon said, fear clear in his tone.
"After you burned the bus?" Hope asked with a scoff.
"That wasn't me, I swear. I barely got out alive" Landon replied, trying his best to convince
Hope.
"Hope, come on" Rafael said desperately trying to get Hope to listen.
"Last chance. Who the hell was it?" Hope asked, as she began to noticeably get angry.
"There was this girl..." Landon said. "Called it!" Talia said with a grin.
Scowling, Hope dropped Landon. "I don't believe a word you're saying"
"You have every right to be mad at me, but I am telling the truth. Come on man help me" Landon said desperately.
"I believe him" Rafael said, deciding to trust in his best friend. Hearing this Talia scoffed, before turning and looking through some of the items that were in the cellar. All the while listening to the conversation, it went the same for the most part. As the three continued to argue, Talia dug through a bag and finally found what she was looking for. "This doesn't happen to be the knife that Landon said he doesn't have right?" Talia asked, holding up the knife, causing everyone to look at it in surprise, before turning to Landon. Even Rafael turned to his friend with a frown on his face "What the hell Lan"
They stopped when they turned to the cellar door that was now on fire "And it looks like the dragon wants the knife too, just great" Talia said, before Hope put up a spell stopping the fire from breaking through the cellar door.
"It's a quick fix, it won't last long" Hope said, turning back to Alaric. Alaric hearing this nodded "All right, great, I need a cell phone" Hearing this Talia grabbed one of the phones in
the pile and tossed it to Alaric.
"Seems the dragon is a hoarder just like in legends" Talia said motioning to the pile of personal belongings, before turning and grinning at Hope "It's not a dragon!" Hope said, although she was also starting to believe that Talia was right about her guess.
"It's from the people on the bus" Rafael said, looking at the I.D of what is probably a dead
man.
Hearing the three argue once again, Talia groaned in annoyance, as it was really starting to get to her. She decided to shut out their little argument, before stopping when she heard
Dorian on the phone say "Dragon"
"What?" Alaric says in confusion. Causing Dorian to continue "Dragon. She steals treasure, breathes fires, hides the loot in her lair. She's-she's not a pyromancer, she's a...." "Dragons don't exist, or look like normal people" Alaric cut off Dorian.
"There was a time we would have said that about vampires" Dorian said, causing Talia to grin wildly. Scoffing Alaric replied "okay, fine. She's a, a human dragon. Now what?"
"In anything I've ever read...." "In fiction" Alaric interrupted. "The way to take down a dragon, you need a buttload of courage and a sword." Dorian said.
"How about a knife?" Hope asked. Only for Talia to roll her eyes "Or...you could just let me
take care of it. I have spells that can kill it you know" "No, I don't want to risk those spells not working, we'll go with Hope's idea" Alaric cut off, causing Talia to groan out in evident annoyance.
She alongside Alaric and Landon sat in the cellar as the other two fought the currently human
dragon, causing Talia to groan "If they fail I'm killing the damn thing, cause you guys are seriously getting on my nerves" Alaric hearing this sighed "Fine, if they fail then you can kill
it"
When they eventually were allowed back out, Talia silently watched the body, waiting for the thing to come back so she can one shot it. Watching as the dragon began to rise into the sky, while Hope, Landon, and Rafael came out of the cellar ready to bury the body, Talia grinned in excitement. She was seriously beginning to get bored.
"You guys go, get to the car and get out of here" Hope said to Landon and Rafael.
"What about you?" Rafael asked.
"I have an idea" Hope said, deciding on the black magic, only to notice the look Talia was
giving her. "What?" Alaric asked. Wanting to know her little plan.
"She wants this. She's going to be back" Alaric hearing this nodded "All right, you two, go to
the car. I'll meet you there. Go, go.
Watching as it began to come back towards them "all right, it's coming back. Now what?"
"You should take cover" Hope said, only for Talia to walk out in front of them. "Talia what are you doing?"
"I'm really bored, so I'm going to kill a dragon. I also did say I'd show off more of my spells
didn't I?" Talia said with a smirk, before pulling out the Elder Wand, and spoke one singular spell, with a decent chunk of power in it "Diffindo!" The second she said that singular word, an/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
large severing charm came out of her wand, and went straight at, and through the large
dragon.
As the dragon flew towards them, it's body slowly split in half, before falling to the ground with a loud thud, causing Hope and Alaric's eyes to widen and jaws to drop. Turning back towards them, Tala grinned "I did say I was going to kill it didn't I?"

This chapter was an absolute pain in the ass to write. Next chapter will be when canon goes off
the rails a bit, and around the necromancer is when canon will be truly and utterly fucked.
This chapter was honestly kinda boring, mainly cause I had to keep the plot somewhat the same, in order for future events to happen properly. This won't be the case any more, and Talia will take a much more active approach in future chapters. If you couldn't tell towards
the end, she was getting annoyed with being ignored and pretty much being a spectator, so she will actively take part now.
So next chapter should be (emphasis on should be) a lot better than this one. Next chapter
probably won't be longer though.
Anyways, have a good day! Point out any mistakes! See you tomorrow!
