[Location: Salvatore Boarding School, Mystic Falls] [3rd POV]

'What the fuck' Talia thought, trying her best not to show her shock at this on her face. The second she read the quest she knew what it most probably was. The bond part made it relatively obvious. Shaking off her shock, she walked towards Alaric and co.

All the while Hope was trying not to let her awe show on her face, as her "inner wolf" (wolf instincts) were going crazy at the sight of this new girl. She had no idea what this feeling was, but she was going to figure it out.

At the same time, Josie was looking at the new girl with a slight blush on her cheeks. The new girl was attractive to say the least, and to a Bisexual teen like Josie, she couldn't help but let her imagination run a little wild. Lizzie obviously noticed the look Josie was giving the new girl, and smirked, already thinking of ways of pairing the two together, while also noting the fact that the new girl was pretty hot, even by her high standards.

"You must be Talia, the new witch student right?" Alaric was the first person to speak, while reaching his hand out, which Talia shaked with a smile.

"That's me, and your Headmaster Saltzman right?" Talia replied, and while she knew exactly who he was, she still had to play her part.

Alaric nodded before "I am, ah, these are my daughters, Josie and Lizzie" Motioning to the twins, Josie giving a shy wave and Lizzie simply looking over her. "And this is Hope" motioning to the attractive Tribrid that she was very obviously connected to.

Hearing this Talia smiled "Daughter of Klaus Mikaelson right?" Hearing this question Hope shaked off her feelings and nodded, but had a slightly uncomfortable expression on her face

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Hope" Talia said, before turning back to Alaric "Seeing as our introductions are over, can I get that tour?"

Hearing this Alaric blinked "Ah that, the Twins and Hope will be giving you the tour, while Emma and I will tag along"

"Why all five of you? Not that I mind" Talia asked, slightly surprised by the amount of people taking part in a usually normal tour.

"I thought it'd be a good way for you to make some new friends, and for us to learn a bit more about that magic of yours" Emma was the one who answered. Talia raised an eyebrow but shrugged, she didn't really mind too much.

Alaric, seeing this, motioned to his daughters, and Hope, to get started.

Coughing, Lizzie started "Welcome to the Salvatore School. We're your tour guides" "I'm Josie" "I'm Lizzie"

Continuing Lizzie spoke again "Sisters" with Josie adding on "Twins" and Lizzie finishing with "Fraternal. Obvs"

Hearing this little...whatever it was, Talia just smirked, finding it a little funny.

Hope hearing them finish their weird twin introduction, spoke "And I am Hope Mikaelson, Tribrid, Daughter of Klaus, and a lot of other titles I can't really be bothered to list"n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"It's not a competition, Hope" Lizzie said with a slight scowl. Hearing this, Hope just rolled her eyes, while Alaric face palmed, already seeing how this was going to go.

"...aaanways, why don't we start with the different classes?" Josie said, trying to stop the argument that she could see coming from a mile away. Hearing this Lizzie just huffed.

Beginning to walk alongside the three girls, she listened as they explained certain things about the school, while also pointing out certain classes of notice. "Everybody gets along with everybody, for the most part"

"The wolves are pretty cliquey" Lizzie added.

"Which is in defiance to the school's commitment to inclusiveness" Josie said, while leading her to a very specific class that Talia already had an idea about. Talia also noted that most of the things they were saying were roughly the same as in canon, but she can only assume it is a sort of script Alaric gives them.

"Their pack alpha, Jed, will force you into the pack. But since you are a witch, you won't have to worry about that" Hope finished, a noticeable amount of annoyance at the mention of Jed. Walking up to the classroom door they were being led to, Josie began to speak again "That is our librarian, Mr. Williams. He's subbing for our Chemistry of Magic teacher who accidentally incinerated himself four days ago in hellfire"

Lizzie finished what Josie was saying with "Burned all the hair off his body, but didn't leave a scar"

Hearing this Talia had several questions on how that is even possible to do on accident. But watched as Dorian began to give a lesson on a spell.

"Penelope show us how it's done" Dorian said, wanting Penelope to demonstrate the spell he was teaching.

"She who shall not be named" Lizzie says with a low scowl, obviously not liking her very much.

"Talking about her gives her power" Josie adds on, obviously uncomfortable that they are even talking about Penelope at all.

"She's Josie's evil ex, also a major bitch"

All the while, Alaric and Emma are sitting and listening to all this. Alaric just sighed at the Penelope part, while Emma was smiling with a shake of the head. Hope on the other hand was not really paying much attention to the tour, but was paying more attention to the one

getting the tour.

She was trying to understand what this feeling was, and why her werewolf instincts were going so crazy, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't figure it out. It wasn't overbearing, but it also gave her this feeling of protectiveness, and the urge to get to know the girl, but not much else besides that.

Talia, having heard their explanation about Penelope, chuckled "She must have done something pretty bad if you hate her so much, did she cheat?"

Josie, hearing this, just looked down and softly nodded. "Well then I guess she is a major bitch

then. Cause only a bitch would cheat on someone as nice as you"

Josie, hearing this looked up with a surprised expression "How do you know I am a nice person? I could be worse than her"

"I can just tell" Talia said with a mysterious smirk.

"Well...now that the majority of the tour is over, do you have any questions?" Alaric was the

one who asked this.

"Several actually, like, are witches only learning non combative spells? Where do the Werewolves go to turn? Are there werewolf and Vampire teachers?" Asked Talia. All of which were genuine things she wondered about in her previous life.

Walking alongside the group, moving towards an empty room with a sofa, Talia sat across from Alaric while the rest stood. "Witches are not allowed to learn combat spells in the school, it is for the safety of the students and the teachers. There are werewolf turning chambers below the school in the basement, that is where they turn. And no, there are only witch teachers, and one human, that being me" Alaric answered.

Talia hearing this furrowed her eyebrows in immense confusion "Why are witches not allowed to learn combat spells in school? Wouldn't it be safer to teach them in school so they know how to properly use them without harming others or themselves? Not to mention, what if they need them for self defense? They would be all but powerless against a witch that knows actual combat based spells"

Hearing this, the three teens who were standing, eyebrows raised in surprise. The more Talia pointed it out, the more they also grew confused. Even Emma raised an eyebrow while looking at Alaric, wondering what his answer was going to be.

Alaric on the other hand, was dumbfounded, he didn't really think about the effects this could

have on them after school. "That...I didn't really think about that to be honest, but I still don't think it should be taught in school. What if someone makes a mistake and someone gets killed due to it? Magic is unpredictable like that"

"While that is true, that is only if you are unprepared. If you make the necessary precautions for such events, then you won't have to worry about it, using things like magical barriers, wards, and other things should do the trick. You could even build an area completely dedicated to teaching and using combat spells, an area that would have the necessary precautions for it to be safe enough to teach" Talia argued, not seeing the logic behind Alaric's choice. Because while yes, there can be mistakes and magic is unpredictable, all magic is. You could theoretically kill someone with even a stink spell, it doesn't make sense to potentially threaten the lives of students by not teaching them how to defend themselves. Hearing this Alaric just looked down with a thoughtful expression. "...I'll think about it"

At that, the girls looked rather happy at the fact that there is a chance that they can be taught more combat based spells in the future. While Emma looked contemplative, thinking over the problem Talia had brought up.

"As for my other questions. Why force Werewolves to turn in a basement? Why not ward off a section of the nearby forest that is on the school's property, and allow them to turn there? No one would be able to get in there, and the werewolves wouldn't be able to leave until after the full moon is over. It's a win-win situation" Talia asked, once again wondering why this wasn't put into place, and why no one else thought about this.

"That....that is a good idea. I'll have to talk with some people, but if your idea is possible, then yes, it'll be put into effect immediately" The more Alaric was talking to Talia, the more he realized that he was making some pretty idiotic mistakes.

Hope had a look of surprise at the idea Talia had given, as it was genius! It would be the

perfect way for the werewolf students to properly let their wolf out, while not being chained up in a basement...literally.

"And why not have vampire and werewolf teachers? Wouldn't they be better teachers to the students of their respective species than a witch? A witch wouldn't know how to properly explain and help a Vampire, just a vampire wouldn't know the first thing about being a Witch. All you'd have to do is find a trustworthy Vampire and Werewolf, and have them teach the classes. It would help the students learn how to control themselves when turned, and how to control themselves with blood" Talia once again asked. She really didn't understand why this wasn't a thing beforehand.

Once again the other people in the room were quiet after hearing her explanation. And once again Alaric had something to think about.

"I'll think about it, but I don't know if I can trust anyone to tackle such a situation. I am not risking lives by taking in two new teachers that are a werewolf and vampire" Hearing this Talia just nodded, knowing this is probably the best she is going to get out of that particular

conversation.

"Now that you are done with your questions, why not show off some of your magic? Headmaster Saltzman wishes to see what you can do" Emma asked, deciding that that was enough of that specific conversation.

Hearing this Talia's eyes practically lit up, while the other teens in the room also had interested looks in their eyes. They all wanted to see what is so special about her magic, and

they hoped she would show them.

"Sure! What type of spell do you want to see?" Asked Talia, ready to show off a bit of her magic to them. She was also pretty sure that Alaric wanted to see her magic before admitting

her into the school.

"Whatever your strongest spell is, that won't harm anyone" Hearing this Talia grinned,

already having a spell in mind.

"Well we are going to have to go outside for that one" Talia said while getting up. Hearing

this the group of five followed after her, as she walked into a clearing outside. Other students

noticed the small group and looked on in interest, including one Milton Greasley, more commonly known as MG.

Walking up to the side of Josie, MG asked "Who's she?"

"A new witch student. She made another type of magic, so she's going to show it off to my

dad" Josie replied, hearing this MG raised an eyebrow "Isn't that like really hard? I thought only the older witches could do something like that"

"Usually yes, but she has created two different ones. Hence, my dad wants to test her and see

what they can do" Josie replied, while watching as Talia reached into her pocket and took out

a...stick? Ignoring the giggles coming from nearby students who had begun to crowd nearby. She breathed in and turned to Alaric "Don't freak out, the spell is harmless" Hearing this Alaric looked confused "What do you mean don't freak ou-"

Talia cut him off by waving the Elder Wand and letting out "Expecto Patronum!"

A bright blue/golden light emanated off Talia and her wand. Before a large stream of blue

light streaked out of the wand, before slowly forming two glowing blue figures, while the waves continued to roll off Talia and her wand.

Standing before them was a large, glowing blue, Dragon patronus. As well as a slightly smaller, but still massive, glowing gold, Phoenix patronus. The two patronus towered over the nearby trees, giving them a majestic look, while also being massive. Gasps ripped through the crowd and those behind her. As the waves emanated off the powerful patronus, several students began to get flashbacks of their happiest memories, causing tears to be shed. This included Alaric, the twins, and even Hope. Flying to the sky, the two patronus flew to the sky, before fizzling out into nothingness.

She normally would have let them stay for longer, but she didn't want any normal people to see them. Putting her wand down she turned back to the crowd, before her eyes widened slightly at the sight of several students full blown sobbing, while Hope had several tears

leaking from her eyes.

Alaric, being the first to recover from the burst of pure happiness and joy, couldn't help but ask "T-Talia, what the hell was that"

"Uh....that was the patronus charm. It's a spell made using the happiest memories you have,

bringing out all that happiness in order to fight off dark and evil creatures, I haven't tested it fully, but it should even have as purifying effect on Dark Magic and cursed items" Talia replied, slightly sheepish at the effect her spell had.

"I apologize for that. I had no idea it would have such an effect on others, as I have only tested

it by myself" Talia said, while looking at the sniffling Hope in particular. She felt bad for

bringing up such memories, especially to Hope who had lost most of the people in those happy memories.

*Sniffles* "It's alright" Hope softly says, while the happy moments that bursted into her memory continued to flash into her mind. The memories were all from the past, from when her father and mother were alive, and from when her family actually seemed to care for her. Nowadays they don't interact or talk to her at all, she hadn't even talked to her aunt Rebekah

in nearly a year and a half.

"Lets...let's put off the other magic until later. For now you can go to your new room with

your roommate" Alaric said, trying to shake off the memories he had seen, and the feelings that came with them.

Hearing this Talia softly sighed "And who is my roommate?"

"That would be...Hope"

That's that chapter. The next chapter will be her interacting with Hope more. The chapter

after that will be her first day at school, and then a time skip to when canon begins (which is only like 3 days way lol).

I hope y'all had a good Christmas! I got a ton of new movies and shows, so I might start using some ideas from them as well.
