Chapter 72 72
After the newly wedded greeted everyone present in the Banquet Hall, the Banquet finally started, which proved to be a sumptuous and a delicious affair.
The guests also got their answers when the news about Kiara being Keith's Fiancée and the future lady of the Demiliore Family started circulating in the Hall.
Darius himself acknowledged it, and then also announced and introduced Danielle as the new President of the Angelini Group of Industries. It was the perfect day to make such an announcement, and it worked out fine since the guests present in the Banquet showed no real surprise to the news. It was quite a pale event when compared to the news of Demiliore and Angelini getting back together through a marriage bond.
At the end of the Banquet, all the guests greeted the newly weds again and presented them with gifts before taking their leave. And both Keith and Amelia graciously accepted their blessings.
The young ones toasted a few drinks with Keith, and congratulated the two of them again before departing, and finally, by dusk, only the Angelini and the Lin remained at the Demiliore Estate other than the Mountales.
The seniors stayed in a separate lounge, leaving the younger generation alone to play their games and enjoy themselves.
Raizer and Lin Wudao used to be acquaintances and so they reminisced about their old days. Darius and Alaric Mountale, who was the head of the Mourntale Family, chatted with Diana, mostly about the affairs of the country.
The ladies mostly surrounded Amelia, trying to tease her about her husband, but it was all to no avail since Amelia had nothing to be embarrassed about.
However, everyone could discern it from her expresisons that she was very happy today. Even her cousins admitted to it that they had never seen her smile so genuinely before.
Kiara was jelling right in with the group, and she was actually getting along very well with Qingyue. The reason behind it was probably how much Kiara knew about Keith and did not mind sharing the information with her. Since yesterday, she was always accompanying Qingyue, Nana, and her new favourite person, Minami. The lovely maid of her brother was of her age, and they did not take long to become really good friends.
Everyone eventually forced Keith to play some songs on Piano for his bride after Kiara insisted on it, and he stood up to the occasion and performed meticulously, dumfounding everyone who had never heard him play before.
Celine was openly gushing over him, cheering loudly after every song he performed, and she did not forget to tease her daughter about it as well.
Qingyue was just too mesmerised by Keith's piano skills. He made it look so effortless even when his fingers performed a sternous dance on the keys. She had listened to some music performances before in her life, but never before had she felt so hooked into the music. Part of the reason was because it was the very man who had been occupying her thoughts lately, playing so beautifully that she felt like nothing could top it off. But the truth was that Keith was naturally talented in music, and if he had not been the Heir of the Demiliore Family, he could have very easily become a renowned musician in his life.
Nana had been smiling since the morning, probably because Venessa always kept her by her side and made her participate in the preparations, which made her feel right at home. Everyone was nice to her, and considered her part of the family. Kiara was even thrilled to get to know her since she was only two years older than her. It was just so easy for them to become friends. And as she listened to Keith play piano, watched him focusing only on music, seeing his slender and long fingers beautifully dancing on the keys, she felt more smitten with him than ever before.
Damien and Amelia's Uncle, Vladimir, took it upon themselves to make Keith adhere to the traditions, and then they made him drink up, toasting to him after showering blessings one after an other. The ladies of the Mourntale Family did the same, but they did not come forward again and again. And soon the male cousins of Amelia joined the fun as well after Venessa and the rest of the ladies took the bride away to prepare her for the night to come.
To the dismay and shock of everyone, Keith seemed to have a bottomless pit for a stomach as he kept drinking the wine until everyone around him raised their hands in defeat. His alcohol capacity was simply outrageous, but Damien had a hunch that it had something to do with his Medical Skills.
"Master, you are a monster! But.. a good one!" Victor, who was heavily drunk called out loudly, which prompted everyone around him to laugh for no reason at all. Some of them had not even heard his words clearly, but still joined in to laugh their hearts out.
"Thank you!" He chuckled and shook his head, eventually getting up to his feet and leaving the lounge together with Damien, Sebastian, and Vladimir.
At exactly 8:30 pm, the Demiliore Media telecasted the Wedding that took place on the Social Networks as well as on their television Channels, and the news of Angelini and Demiliore Family was a hot topic.
The news was soon picked up by other Media Channels across the Country.
The wedding of the only grandson of the Country's Deputy Governor General was a significant event to many, and was a news that could not be missed upon.
Images were being shared all over the Social Networks, and the Media of Sameran was highlighting the Images of the Grayson and Angelini Family much more than the other guests.
Questions were raised about the absence of Lin Houtian when the rest of his family was present at the event, but it was a news that few showed interest in. Considering everything that was surrounding him, it was plausible that he would choose to not make a public appearance at such an event.
"Everything is as you wanted it to be." Damien sighed and said when they finally switched off the news. "But it is the calm before storm." He seriously said.
Keith understood that Damien was warning him about the possible retaliation of the Falken Family.
"They will contact you and Aunt Danielle in the coming days." Keith said. "And I have a hunch that they will show interest in Kiara."
"You don't have to worry about her safety. The best of the Dragon Corps are protecting my family." He assured him.
Keith remained silent at his words. He knew that her safety would not be an issue, but he already had some plans in his mind to keep her safer.
"When will you be leaving the city?" He asked.
"On 5th of January." Damien told him. "But I should be back in May. I plan on making the Sameran City a secondary headquarters for my division."
"I hope that happens." He nodded his head and smiled in his heart.
Keith knew that Damien would be back before May, and Sameran City would not just be any Secondary Headquarter for his Divison. It will be much more than that, however, these were secrets he could not reveal to anyone.
He excused himself after bidding them goodbye and headed straight to his study.
May had helped him process the private properties he had got from Gouzo, and this morning, Amelia handed him 500 Million Neris that Venessa gifted to her. Now he had a little less than 750 Million Neris to play around with.
Keith already had his mind set on what he wanted to do, and he was going to invest nearly all of it in the stocks of a Technology Company, which was going to unveil its first successful Virtual Reality Console tomorrow. It will be the first of its kind providing nearly full immersion by putting your physical body into sleep and directly link the console to your mind without any complications.
It was a ground-breaking technological advancement, which would take the world by storm. However, only he knew that the product was still far from perfect and it was not without complications.
The product would be banned in the coming fall after a number of deaths would happen and cases of people losing their metal cognition would arise after using the console for prolonged periods of time.
However, none of this mattered to him. He was just after the seven-fold profit he would receive on his investment by cashing out in mid April.
Keith did not have to think twice and immediately invested 700 Million Neris into the company. He knew that his investment would catch the attention of many people, but he was not worried about it. As long as he cashes out in mid April, it would save his name from being dragged into all the drama that would start in June, a month after the official launch of the product.
After closing his laptop, he headed straight to his room where his bride was waiting for him.
