Chapter 305 The Plan
Over the next 24 hours, Rocky and his team focused entirely on gathering information about Nunu and his security detail.
They questioned people who had previously seen Nunu's entourage, piecing together descriptions of its members. Although the responses varied at first, after speaking with hundreds of witnesses, they were able to form a clear picture.
Nunu's entourage consisted of six individuals, all of whom were less powerful than the old god.
The group included two shield-bearers, likely serving as tanks or paladins. Additionally, there were two support mages responsible for creating a powerful security barrier around Nunu in case of an attack.
The security team was led by a skilled swordsman, and finally, there was a thief or rogue, whose primary role was counter-assassination and target identification.
The average tier of this security team was tier 4, with most members being tier 4 however, the swordsman and thief being tier 5.
They were extremely efficient at their job and had saved Nunu from various assassination attempts up till now.
The security team's composition made it nearly impossible to assassinate Nunu.
No matter the nature of the threat, they had an answer for everything. If brute force was used, the shield-bearers would form an impenetrable defense, absorbing the attacks without flinching. If someone tried to rely on magic, the support mages would raise a barrier strong enough to reflect even the most powerful spells. And if anyone attempted a stealthy approach, the rogue would be on them before they even knew what hit them, while the swordsman's deadly precision would make short work of any direct assault.
With such a balanced and highly skilled team, no matter the angle of attack, they always seemed to have the upper hand. Enjoy exclusive chapters from empire
This holistic formation allowed them to quickly neutralize any threat, rendering them virtually unbeatable.
Their efficiency in thwarting assassination attempts was already legendary, and it made the idea of taking down Nunu seem like a suicidal mission.

( That same night)
"Guys," Rocky began, his voice low but steady, "I know this is impossible, and if any of you want to back out, I totally get it. No hard feelings. But… There's this one wild plan I've been thinking about. It's a long shot, but I reckon it might just work."
The room was silent for a moment, and Rocky let his words sink in.
Kronos, as usual, didn't show much emotion, but his piercing gaze remained locked on Rocky, while Erin nodded hesitantly.
"Sir Rocky, whatever you think is best, I'll do my best to support you." Erin said, as although he had not completely recovered from the previous fall off the golems back, he still seemed eager to help Rocky anyways.
"Buhara does not like this mission, but Buhara will listen to what sir Rocky has to say–" Buhara grumbled, crossing his arms, his large frame shifting uneasily.
Rocky chuckled, not because he found anything about the situation mirthful, but because he found the sound of his own plan rather crazy in his own head.
It was a self-depreciating chuckle, one that made him wonder what the hell was he even doing in life? However, despite the self pity, Rocky continued with describing the plan.
"Yeah, I know it's crazy. But hear me out," he continued. "We can't kill Nunu's security team. Hell, we don't even have the firepower to kill Nunu himself. We're tier 2 fighters, and they're way stronger. But we can make them think we're bigger than we are."
Erin blinked, his face showing a mixture of curiosity and uncertainty. "How would we do that, sir?"
Rocky leaned forward, laying out his idea. "Nunu's gonna visit the graveyard soon, to pay respects to the old floor master. We set up an ambush there— use all our strength in our attacks, making them extremely powerful.
We buy some traps and some powerful artifacts to further strengthen the illusion, and we make them think that they are under attack.
Finally, in the middle of that chaos, one of us steps in, saves the day, and earns Nunu's trust."
Kronos raised an eyebrow, but stayed silent.
"I'm thinking it has to be you, Erin," Rocky said. "You've got the defensive spells, and, no offense, also you look the most harmless."
Erin shifted nervously. "Me, sir?"
"Yeah, you," Rocky confirmed.
"The graveyard sweeper mentioned that they are hiring right now in-case someone we know is willing to be a new sweeper there, and I think you could get in without raising any suspicion.
Once you're in, you can lay out the traps and play the role of an innocent sweeper, you can then get Nunu's trust by thwarting our plan, and when the time's right… you take him out and use a teleportation token to get the hell out of there." Rocky suggested, as he proposed using the classic double cross ploy, however, instead of him being the main character of this ploy, he suggested that Erin be one.
The room was silent again. Kronos crossed his arms, nodding slightly in approval of the plan, while Erin, still unsure, looked down at his hands.
"Buhara does not like this, Erin is puny and cannot defend himself" the orc grumbled again, "but Buhara trusts Rocky."
Rocky sighed. "Look, it's risky, I know. If anyone doesn't want to go through with it…. Especially you Erin, then we'll find another way. But this… this could be our only shot."
Rocky himself knew how long of a shot this plan was, and It was by no means a full proof plan.
There were a lot of ifs buts and maybes in their approach, which could all potentially go horribly wrong. However, Rocky was willing to take that risk, if his team was onboard with it too.
"I'm in…. I think this plan has potential, also killing gods is the whole purpose of my existence" said Kronos, as he was the first to join the plan.
"Buhara trusts Rocky" said Buhara, joining the plan as well, as all eyes now turned towards Erin, who was the central figure at the heart of their success plan.
