As the founders of the “One More Time” Barbecue Shop, Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou’s cooking skills were naturally not lacking.

Lu Yang placed two large handfuls of skewers into the grill pan, the thud echoing with a satisfying weight.

Meanwhile, Meng Jingzhou wasn’t idle either. Barbecuing potatoes, chives, and tofu; the delightful aroma emitted was no less appealing than Lu Yang’s.

“Delicious!” Li Haoran’s parents sang praises from the bottom of their hearts. As expected of their star pupils, their cooking skills were as advanced as their cultivation, far surpassing Li Haoran’s own.

“I want one too!” Li Haoran had often heard tales of Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou’s legendary skewers, yet had never had the opportunity to try them for himself.

This was the barbecue that had once been savored to the point of causing the Eternity Sect’s downfall.

“Delicious!” Li Haoran’s eyes lit up. This was the best skewer he had ever eaten.

Qin Yanyan and Su Yiren both nibbled politely, but as the atmosphere gradually grew livelier, their inhibitions loosened.

Everyone was full and satisfied, their faces reflecting their contentment. Seeing everyone enjoy the meal made Fairy Eternity’s mouth water.

However, being in a spirit form, she lacked the sense of taste and couldn’t eat anything.

“Lu Yang, I want to use your body so I can have a taste too,” she negotiated with Lu Yang.

Lu Yang didn’t mind and graciously handed over control of his body.

Lu Yang rolled his eyes in response but said nothing.

Setting aside this minor episode that only they knew about, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal.

Li Haoran’s parents arranged rooms for Lu Yang and the other guests.

After washing up, Lu Yang took out a pillow, half his height, from his Identity Jade. This was his hugging pillow. Lu Yang liked to sleep while hugging something.

With over a decade of experience sleeping, he could sleep well anywhere and wasn’t choosy about the location.

The next morning, Lu Yang woke up to find his pillow kicked to the foot of the bed, looking somewhat pitiful.

“This little girl named Su Yiren is thoughtful,” Fairy Eternity suddenly commented.

“What do you mean?”

“She set up an Array Method in the courtyard while you were sleeping. It has no use for you, but for Li Haoran’s parents, it can help them cultivate unconsciously, infusing them with spiritual essence and increasing their cultivation level. Although this process could take a long time, and there’s no visible difference at the moment, Li Haoran’s parents won’t notice anything.”

Lu Yang stepped out of the room and stretched. The weather was good; overcast and cool.

He preferred overcast days over sunny ones.

He saw Li Haoran practicing martial arts in the courtyard.

“Junior Brother Li, you’re so diligent even when you’re home?” Lu Yang was surprised. He thought he had woken up early, but it seemed Li Haoran was already up and practicing.

He didn’t remember him being this diligent back at the Seek Dao Sect.

Li Haoran turned serious and spoke to Lu Yang through spiritual communication: “Senior Brother Lu, you may not know. “Haoran, why are you up so early?” Li Haoran’s mother noticed him practicing early in the morning with Lu Yang standing beside him, and she was overjoyed.

She assumed Lu Yang had influenced Haoran to practice together.

“I’m only inviting you because you’re our guests. Don’t overthink it,” Li Haoran said to Su Yiren.

Despite his words, Su Yiren still smiled joyfully.

Just as they were preparing to leave, the overcast sky darkened even more. The clouds thicken rapidly, and they could faintly hear the sound of thunder in the distance.

“It’s going to rain heavily,” Li Haoran said, looking up at the sky with a hint of regret. Luofeng County was known for its frequent rainfall. Judging from the weather, a heavy rain was imminent. “It seems we can’t go today.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yiren pointed a palm at the sky. The heavens instantly cleared of sliding dark clouds, revealing a bright, sunny sky.

With a genial smile, Su Yiren said as if nothing happened, “The sky is clear now; let’s go.”
