You're My Only Star

Special Assistant Bei Yuan turned his head upon hearing the movement coming from the restroom. Knowing what the couple was up to, Bei Yuan could not help but to get anxious as well.

The couple came out and Bei Yuan watched them with a hint of anticipation.

A while ago, he was still imagining himself chasing around a mini version of President Lu. Now that he was standing outside the restroom area, Bei Yuan found that he was looking forward to hearing this good news.

"President Lu, Mrs. Lu," Bei Yuan nodded at the couple politely. He observed their expression, wondering what was the result.

Bei Yuan had already decided that once his boss gave him the good news, he was going to return to the President's office and turn it into a child-safe space for the mini president.

Of course, if Lu Xun ever know of his assistant's mind, he would definitely have a terrible headache.

"Bei Yuan." Lu Xun coughed. "Let's keep this matter a secret."

Bei Yuan nodded. "Understood." He has been working under Lu Xun for a few years and knew that there were a lot of things that he have to keep a secret.

The waitress did not know what was going on and could only look at the scene in front of her with a dazed look on her face.

Why does it feel as if the mood around the couple had changed?

"Mrs. Lu, should I send the cake to your room?" The waitress asked cautiously.

It was then that both Lu Xun and Song Xing Xing realized that they were in the middle of their meal when this event suddenly happened.

"I think there's no need to deliver the cake now," Song Xing Xing said. "Just prepare my bills."

"Ah? The waitress looked at the couple dumbfounded. However, thinking about the accident just now, the waitress thought that the couple had lost their appetite. She quickly turned around and settled with everything.

"Bei Yuan, help to settle the bills for us," Lu Xun said.

"President Lu, are you heading back to the company?"

"No." Lu Xun turned at his wife and spoke, "We're going to the hospital." His eyes were tender and full of love.

Bei Yuan was about to ask a few more questions but his boss had already left with his wife. He stood in front of the restroom, wondering about the result. He recalled the expression on the couple's face and a realization came to his mind.

From the gentle look on his boss's face, it should mean that the result was positive, right?

Bei Yuan was suddenly excited.

It was as if he was the one who was about to become the father.

Meanwhile, the couple sat in the car, heading to the hospital.

Song Xing Xing heaved a helpless sigh as she looked at the man sitting behind the wheel. It has been a few minutes since she had done the test and found out that they were expecting.

However, a certain man was too anxious that he was driving slowly.

A few cars moved past by and blew their horn at him. They poke their head out of the window and muttered a few cursing words at him. 

Lu Xun was driving a Maserati but his speed was too slow. It was as if he was driving leisurely to enjoy the scenery around him.

"Hubby, if you don't speed up a little bit, the policeman might come and issue a ticket," Song Xing Xing pointed out.

"I'm driving within the speed limit. Why would they issue us a speed ticket?" Lu Xun kept his eyes on the road. He did not dare to glance at his wife, afraid that the few seconds might lead them to an accident.

Now that his wife was carrying another life, Lu Xun decided to be more careful on the road.

What would he do if his driving would give his wife a scare?

"Don't you think you're going too slow?"

"I'm not."

The corner of her lips began to twitch. Song Xing Xing could not help thinking that this man was being too careful.

"If you did not hurry up, we might miss our time to see the doctor."

Hearing her words, Lu Xun began to speed up a little bit.

Song Xing Xing continued to watch her husband acting this strangely. The corner of her lips tilted up and she was suppressing the urge to laugh out loud.

She looked out the window and realized that they were heading to the usual hospital they went to. "Hubby, let's go to a different hospital."

"What's wrong?" Lu Xun frowned. "This hospital's reputation is quite good, right?"

"It's not that. I remember that my Cousin Brother had a friend who was working at this hospital. If we went to this hospital, then he would know what happened."

Last time, Song Xing Xing had a high fever and Lu Xun had taken her to the hospital.

Song Yi heard about it and came over to their house. Her cousin had thought that she was pregnant and was worried.

Now that she was really pregnant, Song Xing Xing wanted to keep this matter a secret for a while. At least until her pregnancy was stabilized.

However, if Song Yu heard about it, he might tell her mother. What would she do if her mother got excited and decided to come and stay with them in Capital City?

Lu Xun pondered over this matter and finally changed the lanes. He gave Bei Yuan a call and let him book an appointment with the doctor.

Half an hour later, Lu Xun finally pulled over his car in the parking spot. The couple hold hands as they headed into the building together. Both of them were wearing masks to prevent from having anyone from recognizing them.

After asking the nurses around, they finally arrived at the OB/GYN department. A nurse was already expecting their arrival and quickly greeted them at the entrance.

The two were brought into the doctor's room to see one of the specialists there.

Song Xing Xing followed the nurse to undergo a few tests and answered a few questions. Then, the couple sat at the side and wait for their result.

The doctor read the report and finally looked up with a smile. "Congratulations, Mrs. Lu is with a child. Looking at the result, it has been seven weeks."

The couple looked at each other in disbelief.

Song Xing Xing touched her lower abdomen and looked at it with a dazed look on her face. It turned out that she has been pregnant for almost two months and she did not even realize anything!
