You're My Only Star

The couple sat down and ate their noodle in silence.

Although Xia Yu had eaten this flavor of instant noodle before, she could not help but think that the one that Huo Yun Chen had cooked for her tasted extra delicious. The noodles were springy and the amount of soup and seasoning were balanced.

"Don't just eat the noodle, have some vegetables as well."

Xia Yu looked at the pickled radish in her bowl. She took a bite at the radish and thought that it tasted very fresh. "It's delicious. Where did you get this?"

Huo Yun Chen leaned over and smiled. His eyes glinted with something that Xia Yu could not understand. "My mom made it," Huo Yun Chen said.

Her movement halted. Now that Huo Yun Chen had mentioned his mother, a hint of panic suddenly arise in her heart. She quickly lowered her gaze to avoid his gaze.

The smile on Huo Yun Chen's face widened. He could tell that a certain someone was feeling a little shy again. He wondered what was on her mind that made her panic.

Huo Yun Chen wanted to tease the girl, but when he recalled that he had wanted to talk to her into staying at his place, he could only restrain himself.

"Actually, there is something that my fans did not know about," Huo Yun Chen whispered. His expression was a little mysterious. "But because you're a special fan, then, I will let you know."

"What?"

"Actually, I love eating instant noodles a little too much. Brother Xiang said that this does not fit my character and had prevented me to mention it."

Xia Yu stared at the man in front of her with a serious look on her face. "You do know that eating too many instant noodles is unhealthy, right?"

The man smiled. "Un. Previously, I only eat them because I don't have time to have a proper meal. Later, I got addicted to it. But these days, I don't eat them as much as I used to." Huo Yun Chen glanced at the box of pickled radish. "Sometimes, my mom would prepare some cold side dishes for me to eat with the noodles."

The mood around them eased up and Xia Yu was no longer as tense.

After their meal, Huo Yun Chen wanted to wash the dishes but Xia Yu had insisted to do it instead. She was a little worried that Huo Yun Chen would be careless again and injured himself.

When she turned around again, Huo Yun Chen was no longer around.

Xia Yu wiped her hands and walked out of the kitchen to look for him, however, she could not find him. She walked into the living room and suddenly, a pair of arms wrapped around her waist.

"Xia Yu."

His voice was so close to her ears. Just like that, her heartbeat accelerated.

"Mhmm..."

"Have you thought about it?"

"Think about what?

"Move in with me, alright?"

Her hands tightened into fists. Her head felt a little dizzy upon hearing his question.

"With both our working schedules, it was not easy for us to meet. If it's possible, I wanted to be able to look at your face whenever I returned to this place."

Xia Yu bit her lips, pondering over his words. This was not the first time that Huo Yun Chen had suggested they live together.

Huo Yun Chen pressed his lips on her neck as he spoke. "Moreover, it's not nice for us to continue using Lin You's apartment to date, right?"

She closed her eyes and turned around. Xia Yu lifted her head to meet his gaze. "Don't you think that we are moving too fast?"

"I don't. I think we have known each other for a while."

"The time we spent in 'Legend of the Sky' did not count."

Huo Yun Chen chuckled. "Well, even so, I think I like you well enough to ask you to move in with me." He looked into her eyes and smiled. "Do you still need time to think about it?"

Xia Yu hesitated.

The last time, she only stayed with Lin You because it was inconvenient for her to stay alone. Huo Yun Chen was worried about her and suggested her stay with his assistant.

But now that she was healed, it was indeed inappropriate for her to continue and stay with Lin You... That girl would probably need her space as well.

"Alright." Xia Yu nodded. "I agree. I'll move in with you."

She had given this matter a proper thought.

Although she was a little afraid to take the next step, she really like Huo Yun Chen. Each time that he went out for work, Xia Yu would miss him a lot. Huo Yun Chen finally snapped out of his trance. Slowly, his lips stretched up into a smile. His arms were hugging her tightly. "This is good." He leaned over to peck on her lips a few times. "Then, I get to see you more. Xia Yu, I would be more assured to have you stay close to me."

Seeing the way Huo Yun Chen was looking at her made her feel a little dizzy.

Previously, Xia Yu had heard one of the nurses had mentioned how you could tell someone was in love just by the way that person looked at his or her lover.

Huo Yun Chen's gaze made her feel as if he really liked her. It made her feel happy and scared at the same time.

She always wondered whether she was worth being liked by someone like Huo Yun Chen.

Before she could think much about this, Huo Yun Chen had leaned over to kiss her lips again.
