Who could've imagined that the soul beasts would suddenly be able to strike back in such a devastating fashion?

The flying soul beasts were carrying the land-dwelling soul beasts, and they descended onto the lad around the Spirit Pagoda headquarters in an orderly fashion before arranging themselves into different formations, just like a human army would.

There were some powerful 10,000-year-old soul beasts flying in the sky, putting on a menacing display, and it had been countless years since so many soul beasts had appeared on the Douluo Continent.

In fact, the last beast tide had taken place over 10,000 years ago, and everyone had already long forgotten what a beast tide was like.

Currently, there were millions of soul beasts that had emerged from the Myriad Beast Plane, and they were definitely flourishing more than they had 10,000 years ago.

Da Ming and Er Ming were the foundation of the Myriad Beast Plane, while the Dragon God's core gave the plane a soul.

Through the influx of abyssal energy that was converted into life energy, the Dragon God's core was able to rapidly give rise to a huge number of soul beasts, and it was all thanks to the abyssal plane that the Myriad Beast Plane had reached its current scale.

However, even millions of soul beasts wouldn't be a cause for fear to the human race. Soul beasts weren't able to resurrect themselves like abyssal creatures, so human soul technology would be more than enough to contend with a soul beast army of this scale.

However, what was truly lethal to the human race's chances were the thousands of Soul Masters who had fallen under Gu Yuena's control, particularly the top-tier powerful beings among them, such as the Titled Douluos of the Battle God Hall, Shrek Academy, and the Tang Sect.

Furthermore, they were led by Gu Yuena herself, who was powerful enough to slay the Spirit Sovereign.

If one had to choose the current most powerful being on the Douluo Continent, then there really were only two options to consider: Tang Wulin or Gu Yuena.

They had once fought alongside one another to oppose the Holy Lord, and both of them had reached the true god level. No one knew for certain who was more powerful, but judging from what had happened during the Joust for a Spouse event, it seemed that Gu Yuena was superior in power.

However, the one who was leading the enemy was the son of their close friend, Tang Wulin.

Just as Gu Yuena had said, her identity as the Silver Dragon meant that there was no way she could be together with Tang Wulin. They represented different races that opposed each other, so their love story was destined to end in tragedy from the very beginning.

This tragedy had only befallen Tang Wulin five days ago, but Gu Yuena had been forced to suffer with it for years.

She knew that she absolutely couldn't fall in love with him, yet she was still unable to control herself. Her sorrow and pain had tormented her for far longer than the span of just five days, and regardless of which one of them came out on top in this clash, it would spell the conclusion of their tragic love story.

Da Ming and Er Ming were beginning to regret their decision.

If they had known that the Douluo Continent would be able to replenish its life energy by devouring the abyssal plane, then they wouldn't have agreed to work with Gu Yuena.

In the absence of the Divine Realm, Tang Wulin would stand at the pinnacle of the human world for at least the next few centuries.

Through their combined efforts, they could work to improve the relationship between humans and soul beasts, and by nurturing more soul beasts in the Myriad Beast Plane in the future, it certainly wouldn't be impossible for humans and soul beasts to co-exist in harmony.

Unfortunately, it was too late to change their minds now, and everything had already been irreversibly set into motion.

Thankfully, through their communication with Gu Yuena, they could tell that her intention wasn't to destroy the entirety of the human race.

One figure after another flew out of the Spirit Pagoda; these were none other than the controlled powerful beings of the human race, and they were led by those from the Spirit Pagoda, the Battle God Hall, Shrek Academy, and the Tang Sect. There were also powerful Soul Masters at or above the Soul Sage level from the military, and they had all emerged as well.

Their eyes were still completely glazed over, and it was clear that they still had no control over themselves whatsoever.

Right at this moment, a series of figures also rose up into the sky from Shrek City.

In the short span of just five days, Mo Lan had mobilized all of the troops that she could and deployed them to Shrek City.

These troops were led by the Central Legion, and six mecha corps, comprised of a total of 6,000 mechas, had appeared in the sky. However, the vast majority of these mechas were low and mid-grade mechas, and the number of black mechas among them was downright pitiful.

At the same time, ground units began to appear down below before advancing in an orderly fashion. There were some armored vehicles fitted with soul missile launchers situated near the rear, and as soon as this army of iron and steel appeared, a sense of killing intent immediately began to permeate through the air.

Mo Lan was standing in the armored vehicle at the very front with only her upper body exposed.

As long as she was present, the federal military had a spiritual leader.

During the span of five days, an army of 300,000 had been gathered. If the top-tier powerful beings were excluded from the equation, then this army of 300,000 would be enough to contend with the millions of soul beasts.

Following the emergence of this army, five figures flew out of the Shrek Academy, led by none other than Tang Wulin. Situated beside him were the four Limit Douluos, Chen Xinjie, Long Yeyue, Zang Xin, and Cao Dezhi.
