Chapter 145: Someone?

Alex sighed and lied on the ground, facing up. A small smile on his face, 'Kid, For what you were against, It was a pretty good fight. A lot of things to improve upon but you did well.' Hades seemed to be satisfied with what Alex had done. 

Alex turned towards Midnight and saw that the cut on her arm was actually pretty deep. She seemed to be bleeding a lot. 'You're now all healed up. Now go and heal what you did.' Hades laughed. 

Alex nodded and stood up. He then walked towards Midnight and spoke, "Do you need me to heal that?" He smiled. 

Midnight looked at Alex and smiled, "I almost forgot that you had that ability. Please do." She smiled as Alex walked towards her and crouched. Midnight sat on the floor and showed her arm to Alex. "You know, that was a pretty good attack you did. If your aim was better, you could have gotten the neck of the heart. But I do have to say that your guns are pretty special. They would cost a fortune to have been made so tell me, Alex. What did you do to get those guns." Midnight spoke as Alex healed her injury.

Alex looked at Midnight and shrugged, "I just found it I guess. It was a surprising encounter for me as well but I found it and made it my own. It has pretty unique features so I'm pretty happy with it. Feels like the weapon was made for me." He smiled. 

Midnight nodded, "I guess that's also off limits to ask. Well, I guess I can't always get the answers I want."

She looked at her healed arm and smiled, "You're as quick at Oj with healing. With just your healing capability and fighting techniques, you would be ranked A. But I know you have some hidden abilities that you don't want to show off. Who knows, You might even be able to beat me right now but decided not to use the ability." 

Alex shook his head. He got up and looked at the gate. He saw someone was watching from the back so he wanted to know who It was. Midnight turned towards where Alex was looking and smiled, "It seems like you just noticed our friend here. Come on out, There is no benefit in hiding and watching from a distance." Midnight spoke. 

Hearing midnight, A small timid boy walked out from the back and nodded. He seemed to be scared of Alex for some reason. Alex looked at Midnight in question, "Who is he?" 

Midnight looked at the boy and spoke, "Well, the kid is a new recruit. He was saved from a base before he could be experimented on. Hana seemed to be very adamant about us taking care of him due to her past trauma so I said I'll take care of him. But, before I could pick him up, someone else spoke up. Someone, you know pretty well. " Midnight smiled as she looked behind the boy. 

Alex also turned his attention to the girl behind the boy and smiled, "Rachel?" It was a delightful surprise for Alex.

Rachel walked up beside the boy and looked at Alex with tears in her eyes. She walked up to him and spoke, "Where were you? You can't just disappear into thin air. We were all worried." She spoke in a broken voice.

Alex smiled and spoke, "I apologize, It was out of my control. But I'm all right and even stronger than before! So you don't need to worry." Alex then turned towards the boy and smiled, "Let's leave that, I really can't explain anything. It's just I disappeared without my own knowledge and was able to train while I was gone. For now, I'm more curious about the boy and about you Did something happen to you?" Alex spoke with a curious gaze.

He knew exactly what had happened, Hades had already explained to him that Rachel had powers now. But Alex wanted to hear it from Rachel herself. 

Rachel nodded and smiled, "I awakened The very next day that you disappeared, a huge gate opened that night. I guess I was among the ones affected and it gave me abilities. Surprisingly, the strength it gave me was pretty high as well, I'm ranked B right now." She seemed to be happy. 

Rachel then turned to the boy and smiled, "He's only 7 years old. I heard what experiments would happen to these children so I wanted to adopt them myself. His name is Oliver and he is also an awakened. His abilities haven't fully developed yet so you really can't classify his strength yet. But looking at this match it does seem that he is now interested in you, Alex." Rachel smiled as she looked at Oliver staring down Alex with starry eyes.

Alex laughed awkwardly and nodded. He was surprised by Hearing Rachel's power surge. It was surprising for anyone to be so strong in a small amount of time. It would normally take people years to get to a higher level, that is if they could. Most of them would be stuck to the rank that they awakened in but some have the potential to grow. Most would reach the B or C rank at max but even rarer ones become stronger. 

Rachel seemed to be one of them, looking at how fast she grew, It would only be time before she could reach Alex's Level. Alex looked at Rachel and spoke, "What powers do you actually have?" He was curious. 

Rachel looked at Alex and answered, "Well, It's weapon casting Just like one of your abilities. I can cast a weapon for myself. But compared to your weapon, Mine won't handle well" Rachel spoke as a bow appeared in her hands.

Alex looked at the bow and nodded, "Bow's are pretty special, I'd say." He seemed to like them. 'Boy, Her ability is pretty special. If she is able to train them to the maximum potential, She will be a pretty formidable for you." Hades sounded interested in Rachel's bow.
