The last few times he tried, they ended in spectacular failure, but this time around, Azmodeus felt that he could beat the Immortal Demon King in the simulation.

If he does ultimately end up passing the test, he will then be promptly recruited by very high-ranking Immortal Hunter's from outside the Everveil Kingdom. The SS-Rank was when Immortals truly started to notice someone, so it was only natural that more focus would be put on it as opposed to the S-Rank and below.
