Chapter 358: True Dragon Slayer, Yun Jin
—----------
Click, clack. Click, clack.
A horse's trodding through the grassy plains of the Everveil Kingdom could be heard at Sonic speeds. As it galloped a few inches over the ground, it produced sonic booms wherever it went.
This beast was a Leaping Horse and was in the Grade 1 All-Encompassing Immortal Realm. It was also one of the many steads of the Great Dragon Slayer, Yun Jin!
"Say, Sebastian."
"Yes, my Lord?"
Inside an extravagantly decorated carriage being pulled behind the Leaping Horse, a man with a dragon sword by his waist was talking to a respectful man in Butler attire. The first man had a chiseled face, thin sword-like brows, and a piercing gaze, making him quite handsome. Whereas the butler had a gruff, scarred face, with a few nicks and dings here and there.
His hair was white and slicked back, and he also had a monocle over his left eye, which paired quite well with his muscular physique and black and white suit.
"My Lord…?"
Sebastian had been waiting for a response, but it appeared that his lord had once again gotten lost in his own thoughts. Waiting patiently like a good servant, he eventually heard Yun Jin say, "What do we know about this 'Azmodeus'?"
At this question, Sebastian lightly lifted up a finger and caused a flashing blue screen to appear in front of them. "His name is Azmodeus; no visible last name. He virtually appeared out of nowhere, started out as an F-Rank Immortal Hunter, and then he scaled the ranks to S-Rank in less than a year. In layman's terms, Azmodeus is an enigma."
"An Enigma, huh…?" An interested gleam flashed past Yun Jin's slitted reptilian eyes.
He was human, but after transmuting the spoils of his dragon hunts into his own body, Yun Jin began to look more dragonlike than human. With long, sharp claws, a whipping, scaly, spiked tail, and those slitted eyes of his, he could be considered a dragonoid. Along with this appearance, there was an innate fear-inducing effect that he had on the people who viewed his figure.
Even those in the All-Encompassing Immortal Realm were no exception to this rule…
As Yun Jin stared out at the rapidly flashing scenery from the carriage window, he suddenly remembered something, prompting him to ask, "This Azmodeus; is he an Enigma from one of the High-Mortal Realms? An Ascender with a special fate perhaps?"
"...This could be plausible, but we have no information on his past," Sebastian answered respectfully. Pulling up a few more tabs on the blue screen, he showed his master all the relevant information on his abilities and origin.
After a few seconds of skimming through the information within his mind, Yun Jin made a rock shape with one hand and slapped it against a flat hand. "So it's like this. Although nothing is for sure, I'm positive that if we ask him straight up, we'll receive some more information.
Even though he's clearly trying to keep his head low, I have a feeling that he will tell me more about himself if I offer up something in return."
"Something in return?" Asked Sebastian.
"Yes, do you know of that Blue Dragon I killed in the Sporeread Kingdom? Well, from that dragon, I was able to acquire a 'Domain Crystal' of the 'Dragon Type'."
"A Dragon-Type Domain Crystal?? My Lord, are you trying to suggest giving such a valuable item to this Azmodeus!?"
Even though he had never seen one in person, Sebastian knew that the value of a Dragon Type Domain Crystal was something that even Grade 9 All-Encompassing Immortals would find hard to afford!
After all, a Domain Crystal was something that assisted an Immortal in developing their very own Immortal Domain. Without one, it was virtually impossible to create and develop an Immortal Domain.
Just a normal Domain Crystal was worth dozens of Rank 3 Immortal Crystals. Yet, Yun Jin was honestly considering giving up a Dragon Type Domain Crystal, which was worth thousands of times that amount!
Capable of allowing the user to build and develop an Immortal Domain of the Dragon Type, Yun Jin's Domain Crystal was something invaluable to anyone attempting a breakthrough into the All-Encompassing Immortal Realm!
Even though Azmodeus had advanced from the Grade 5 to the Grade 7 Great Pinnacle Golden Immortal Realm over these last few days, his Battle Power had still yet to break past the limits of the Great Pinnacle Golden Immortal Realm…
The gap between having and not having an Immortal Domain might as well have been impossible to gap. Even for Azmodeus, he just didn't possess the necessary resources or techniques to make such a thing possible.
He was close, but still not at that level…
The only reason he managed to defeat the Grade 1 All-Encompassing Immortal Realm Demon King was because the Immortals of this Immortal Realm were quite weak. For the system, the weakest among them were considered to be one realm behind.
Azmodeus may have slightly superior strength to a Grade 1 All-Encompassing Immortal in the Everveil Kingdom, but it was unknown how he would fare in the non-backwater locations. If he encountered a truly powerful Grade 1 All-Encompassing Immortal, it wasn't too far-fetched to say that instant death was his fate…
That was just the reality of the Immortal Realm, and for Immortals, the All-Encompassing Immortal Realm was a major turning point on the road of cultivation. It was one that would eventually lead to the Immortal Domain of the user encompassing everything in existence!
However, Azmodeus, being the kind of man that he was, believed that he would be able to have Battle Power in the All-Encompassing Immortal Realm before breaking through to the realm.
It was unfounded confidence, but it was the will of a True Enigma.
After purchasing out countless Immortal Lines, Azmodeus now had the same amount as someone in the Grade 3 All-Encompassing Immortal Realm. But it seemed even that was not enough to push him through the Battle Power bottleneck that obstructed his path forward…
Moving onto Immortal Physiques after draining his Immortal Evolution Essence, Azmodeus realized that there might actually be a possible path forward.
Pulling a highly advanced phone out of his pocket, he put it up to his ear and said, "Can you give me a book on all known Immortal Physiques in the Immortal Realm and how to acquire them?"
"Yes, sir, right away," echoed a cordial voice from the other end of the phone.
