Chapter 917  Duality and Trinity

[Azure Dragon Movement Arts] (Lv. 1/30)

Rarity: Rare+

The human race is considered to be a race specializing in adaptation… description has been omitted.

Thanks to the intervention of a Divine-level being, the user has finally gained insight and grasped the power his unique subclass holds, a subclass originally theorized by a being of Shadow Energy, only to be proved as a more than confirmed reality by the Divine-level being itself.

Originally emulating the movements of the Shadow Serpent, this skill allows the user to emulate the movements of an Azure Dragon, the primordial beast considered the fastest and most elusive among the four.

This skill consists of 4 moves in total, with each subsequent move giving the user more freedom in their movements, alongside unparalleled speed.

<First Technique: Blink of the Azure Dragon - An Azure Dragon harnesses the wind's intrinsic properties, turning it into its own play field… description has been omitted.>

<Second Technique: Flash of the Azure Dragon - Once the Azure Dragon immerses and melds itself with the wind, any movement it makes will only leave an afterimage behind, leaving those trailing it far behind in the dust… description has been omitted.>

<Third Technique: Azure Dragon Soaring Skies - The Azure Dragon is at its fastest when it's in the air, becoming one with the world as it soars the vast skies… description has been omitted.>

<Ultimate Technique: Flight of the Azure Dragon - Flight is an ability humans would only gain access to after achieving a higher level of strength. On the other hand, the Azure Dragon flies as naturally as breathing… description has been omitted.>

"The only technique I have a lot of experience with among these four is [Flight of the Azure Dragon]," said Valyr to himself as he closed the screen, committing the information he just read to memory.

"Though I did make use of [Blink of the Azure Dragon] before, it was only once." As the gears turned in his mind, Valyr had a pensive expression on his face as he rubbed his chin.

"Even though I have a feeling they'll work similarly to how they did, I should find an opportunity to use the other techniques in the future," thought Valyr out loud. "After all, [Flight of the Azure Dragon] alone proved that there's a limit to how much I can rely on past experience."

Nodding in satisfaction as he looked at his core skills in detail, the young man decided to take a look at the other skills transformed by Azure Energy as well.

However, unlike the three skills he looked at just then, Valyr did not put too much emphasis into them, considering that most of the other skills transformed by Azure Energy were related to the four foundational elements.

"Well, there's also the Shadow Energy-related skills transformed by Azure Energy," muttered Valyr as he briefly looked at the screen containing its description. "I should take the time to familiarize with them in the future."

"Same goes with Mystic Energy," continued Valyr, being reminded that he had not made use of it at all throughout his time in the inheritance.

Sure, he had learned a few things from Vera here and there in regards to Mystic Energy.

However, as the five of them delved deeper into the secrets of the inheritance, the less time they spent on the matter, considering how each day within the inheritance was equivalent to two weeks outside.

"I wonder why Mystia gave me access to this energy?" asked the young man to himself, recalling the conversation he had with her back in the auction.

Eventually recalling a memory where he told himself that he'd contact Mystia after consuming those items she gave him, Valyr adorned a bitter smile at the thought, thinking about how over nine months had already passed since that time.

'Well, that is the reason why Vera told me she'd teach me how to use Mystic Energy in her stead,' thought the young man to himself, letting out a faint exhale soon after.

'In any case, that's another agenda I should take care of somewhere down the line.'

As he went over the other thoughts that lingered in his mind after that, Valyr looked out of his room's window, absentmindedly admiring the cityscape Algerie Kingdom had to offer once more.

At some point, he began to pick up on this small habit he was forming, prompting him to recall the state of Algerie and the other kingdoms back in his past life during the War of the Three Sovereignties.

"I guess that's part of the reason why I take the time to stare out into the horizon whenever I can." Valyr chuckled in slight amusement. "But I don't know… for some reason, whenever I look out at the city, my mind feels at peace."

Faintly shrugging his shoulders as he continued to stare out at the city for a bit more, Valyr eventually pondered on what he should do next.

Feeling somewhat disinclined to head to the Blacksmith Guild or the Spearman Guild at this time, the young man returned his focus towards the things he'd gained from the inheritance.

Namely, the ones he obtained from Vaughn that he had yet to use.

"The Truth Weaver Scripture… and the Records of Unfettering and Transcending Races."

Though Vaughn had given these two rewards to him as if they were an afterthought, the young man still vividly recalled the man's words on how they would prove incredibly useful to someone that still hadn't reached the Divine level.

Of course, Valyr was still far away from reaching that kind of level.

"One's a skill, the other's a type of knowledge." Focusing his attention on the Truth Weaver Scripture, the young man brought up all of the information Vaughn gave him on the skill in his mind.

"Trinity, Dual Trinity, and Trinity of Trinities… these are the first three levels of the Truth Weaver Scripture," muttered Valyr to himself, beginning to organize the information he'd obtained from Vaughn in greater detail.

Just as he had extrapolated from his conversation with Vaughn back then, each level corresponded to the total number of concepts he could weave at once.

"But does practicing the Truth Weaver Scripture mean I would need to comprehend that many concepts in order to reach that level?"

As the thought came to mind, Valyr thought about the number of Intents he currently had under his belt.

"Shadow Energy, Four Elements, True Mana, Forging, Forger's Flames, and the Spear… a total of 6 Intents."

With six Intents under his belt, the young man would have no issue reaching the Dual Trinity level.

"I would need to comprehend three more Intents if I want to reach the Trinity of Trinities level," muttered the young man to himself, slightly shuddering at the thought.

In the end, he pushed the matter aside for the meantime, deciding to try and use the Truth Weaver Scripture first before proceeding to ask more questions about it.

'After all, I could just ask Vaughn about it if I wanted to.'

With that in mind, the young man went over the first level of the Truth Weaver Scripture in his mind, closing his eyes as he entered a state of total concentration. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Whoosh!

Summoning the power of the Intent of Shadow Energy, Valyr felt one of the connections he had to the world awaken, sending him a source of strength that was attuned to the concept he comprehended.

Not long after, he activated the Intent of the Four Elements, feeling its strength wash over his body as well.

Going over the steps needed to achieve Trinity in his mind, Valyr eventually willed the two Intents to merge. 'Before trying out Trinity, I should attempt Duality first.'

Swoosh!

Manipulating both Intents with his willpower, the young man followed the instructions of the Truth Weaver Scripture, weaving the two Intents in a way that reminded him of what he did to unlock Azure Energy.

However, unlike the braid he made back then, the braid he made this time around looked more intricate, giving Valyr the feeling that there was more power to be untapped into the Intents he'd weaved.

Sending out a thought of having the Intent of Shadow Energy be the emphasis of that extra power, Valyr immediately felt an increase in the strength of his connection through that Intent.

Though the increase wasn't even half of the 10% the first level of the Truth Weaver Scripture promised him, the mere confirmation of the Truth Weaver Scripture's effect pushed Valyr to try and achieve the stage of Trinity.

Awakening the Intent of True Mana, Valyr thought of using the Truth Weaver Scripture from the perspective of how Azure Energy was formed for the meantime, intertwining the Intents that encompassed Shadow Energy and mana together.

Whoosh!

With how the Intent of Shadow Energy and the Four Elements successfully weaved together without much issue, Valyr had high hopes that the Intent of True Mana would weave without issues as well, forming the Trinity he sought.

However, that task proved a bit more difficult than he thought, with the initial weave between the two Intents dispelling each time he tried incorporating the Intent of True Mana into it.

Fortunately, having already gone through an experience of being close to success for over two years back when he was still learning Azure Energy, Valyr continued to persevere.

By the time it was midday, the young man found initial success, with the Intent of True Mana finally merging together with the two other Intents.

Unfortunately, the effect it gave was at the same level as if there were only two Intents weaved together.

Thankfully, by afternoon, he was now able to bring out the untapped power contained within the Intent of True Mana, allowing the increase to the Intent of Shadow Energy to now be over half of the 10% that the stage of Trinity promised.

And by the time it had reached sunset…

Whoosh!

Merging the three Intents together in a fluid motion, Valyr immediately felt the untapped power from the two other Intents awakening, sending all of them into the Intent of Shadow Energy the moment he could.

The result?

An Intent of Shadow Energy that could now be considered Pseudo-5th Grade in power.
