Sovereign of the Firmaments

Unlike the daytime, the Baron grounds were filled with a lot of rank 3 spirit beasts in the night time making Lucas not worry about searching for them.

Even though he was confident in confronting any spirit beast in the Baron grounds, he was still careful as nighttime is the favourite time for all the monsters to come out of their lairs.

'Ding,

 The Sovereign shop has updated the items. Please check them out and buy them if you need any of them.

Suddenly, Lucas received a system notification other than the killing notifications he had received for a while now.

'I totally forget about this.'

Lucas had busied himself with many things during the past week and forgot about the Sovereign shop; however, he was excited to see that system reminder about it.

'Finally, I can upgrade this feature.'

Compared to buying the items, Lucas was more excited about upgrading the Sovereign shop from level 1 to level 2.

'As long as I buy all three items, I can meet all the requirements to upgrade the shop.'

With that thought in his mind, Lucas opened the 'Sovereign shop' to check the items.

 1) System fragment - 1000 sovereign points.

 2) Training pill recipe (small):- 1000 sovereign points.

 3) Dungeon core (level 1) - 10000 sovereign points.

Soon, the list of the items in the Sovereign shop appeared along with their prices.

'What the hell?'

Lucas was shocked after seeing the prices as he rubbed his eyes to see whether his eyes were playing tricks on him.

'Damn it…they are real.'

Once checking that the prices were what he thought they were, Lucas shook his head.

'Is it because of my high sovereign points?'

This was the first thought in Lucas' head; however, when he thought a little deeper, he came to another conclusion.

'I think it was because as long as I buy all the items from this week's items, then it will be upgraded to level 2. So, the system will naturally make me spend more sovereign points.'

Once he thought like that, Lucas nodded his head and checked the current sovereign points in his account.

'Ding,

 Account balance:- 15934 sovereign points.

The system showed his account balance, making him reveal a slight smile on his face.

'So what they were expensive? I started becoming rich after I became a tier 1 lesser assassin.'

Lucas knew how he got that many sovereign points and 90 percent of them came from assassinating the rank 3 spirit beasts and killing the evil spirit beasts in the Silverstone town.

Actually, he was focusing more on increasing his assassin rank; however, he became rich from it.

'Nevertheless, I have more than eight hundred thousand gold coins in the system account and I can easily convert them to 8000+ sovereign coins.'

He thought about all the gold coins he got from the [Fighting arena] and revealed a slight smile on his face as he didn't have to worry about his financial crisis anymore.

'Time to spend the points now.'

With a thought, Lucas bought all three items because without looking at their information, he could tell what they were used for.

And the most important thing for him was to upgrade the sovereign shop. So, he didn't hesitate to buy all three items.

 The host spent 12000 sovereign points to buy all three items from the sovereign shop.

'Ding,

 Item name:- System fragment.

 Use:- It can merge with other system fragments to become a whole entity.

'Ding,

 Item name:- Training pill recipe.

 Pill effects:- Increases the training speed of those who have lesser rank or below strength.

 Side effects:- none.

'Ding,

 Item name:- Dungeon core.

 Use:- It can be used to increase the grade of the existing dungeon. 

 Note:- There is only 50 percent chance of success in increasing the grade of the existing dungeon.

'Ding,

 All three items are stored in the host's inventory.

'Ding,

 Account balance:- 3934 sovereign points.

As soon as he gave permission to buy all the items from the Sovereign shop, his head was filled with all the system notifications which mostly gave the details of the items he bought.

'Just like that, I became poor again.'

Looking at the remaining sovereign points, Lucas could not help but sigh a little; however, when he thought about the 300 more rank 3 spirit beasts he was going to assassinate tonight, he felt a little better.

From assassinating 300 rank 3 spirit beasts, he would get 3000 sovereign points which were definitely not enough to cover his spending but it was better than nothing.

'Anyway, what about the feature upgrade? Am I still missing some requirements?'

After pushing aside the thoughts regarding the sovereign points, Lucas thought about why the sovereign shop is not upgrading.

'Ding,

 Congratulations to the host for successfully finishing the requirements to upgrade 'Sovereign shop'.

Finally, the system notification came to his head, making him heave a sigh of relief as he waited for more system notifications.

'Ding,

 Upgrading the 'Sovereign shop'. It will take 48 hours. So, please be patient.

However, he got only one system notification which asked him to wait for 48 hours.

'48 hours is not long. I wonder what a level 2 sovereign shop will have in it.'

Lucas was curious about the level 2 sovereign shop before focusing on his assassinations.

'Time to work'

Time continued to pass and 10 hours passed in a flash as Lucas was continuously assassinated more and more rank 3 spirit beasts.

Actually, Lucas would have finished this within four or five hours; however, after killing a hundred or so rank 3 spirit beasts, he started wasting some time to find the rank 3 spirit beasts.

So, it took 10 hours to finish one of the requirements to become a general rank assassin.

'Ding,

 The host has successfully assassinated 1000 rank 3 spirit beasts and became a quasi-general assassin.

'Ding,

 Please assassinate a rank 4 spirit beast to become a general assassin.

'Finally, it is time for the main dish.'

Lucas stretched his body a little and without wasting any time, he entered the Viscount grounds.
