Villain: The Play of Destiny

Chapter 409

Chapter 409

Keith carefully inspected the bodies of the two children who were lying naked on the table, still awake, and curiously but respectfully looking back at him.

He had granted them both a drop of Blood from a Fourth Tier set that he possessed in his heart. These Fourth Tier Bloods were all meant to be combined with different Bloodlines, mostly Monster Bloodlines, and so, these were perfect for Wolf Monsters like these twins.

Over the past few months, quite significant changes had taken place inside of them thanks to his interventions.

For one, despite only being ten years old, both of them now looked a couple of years older and were quite tall even for Werewolves their age. And second, they were physically strong enough to even give an old Werewolf a scare.

Their physical strength was directly a result of their Blood having become purer after he gave them the Purifying Potion, and then the Drop of Blood that he granted them, which mutated their blood and turned them into more terrifying Wolf Monsters.

The changes were still taking place, and they would continue to take place until they fully matured, which would likely be in three to four years. And then they would be ready to mate with each other and give birth to powerful and Pure-Blood Pups of their new race.

"You have done well." He told them, quite pleased with their results, and both of them happily smiled at his praise.

After half an hour of inspecting the Hubo twins, Keith asked Ruru and Riku to get dressed and follow him to the grounds where Roy and Harud were waiting for them.

The two boys were sitting on the grass, minding their own business, clearly not too fond of each other, and both of them were meditating.

Roy was of course practising the One-Fold Heart Pulse, which he had asked Romeo to teach the Hubo Twins and him in his absence, and Harud was simply completing a series of Aura Circulations.

Seeing Roy open his eyes immediately and stand up as soon as he heard them approach, Keith smiled at him.

"Good morning, Master!" The Child of Destiny bowed to him, and Keith nodded to him before looking at Harud and waiting for the boy to finish his Aura Circulation.

For some reason, Roy did not like how Harud still kept meditating even after Keith arrived, and he failed to hide his frown at the new boy's behaviour.

It had been irking him for a couple of days now about Haurd behaving like he was some Prince with all his mannered and calculated greetings and words.

Maybe he wanted a friend when he first saw that there was a boy around his age, but Harud never gave him any opportunity to become friends. The boy always excused himself to mind his own business.

A couple of minutes later, the young Mir opened his eyes and immediately stood up, bowing to Keith.

"Good morning!" He greeted and then apologised for the wait, which Keith just waved off.

"You will call me Master from now on, just like the three of them do." He told the boy, and Harud brightly smiled at him.

"Yes, Master."

The four then expectantly looked at him, hoping that he would teach them something exciting today since he had asked them to gather here early in the morning. But when they watched a light smile settle on his face, they did not know why they felt chills run up their spines.

"We will test your physical limits and combat abilities today. The four of you will work together and try to land a hit on me. I won't be using my Aura, but you are allowed to use it. To make things easier for you, one of my feet will always stay on the ground, exactly where I am standing right now."

His words surprised them a lot, and though they felt a little disappointed that they were not going to learn anything new, they were all determined to prove themselves to him.

It was especially the case with Roy, whose mother had told him to do his best when Master Keith would take over his training.

"Master, you intend to bully us." Harud chuckled, knowing well that it was not going to be possible to land a hit on Keith, but still nodded his head as he got into position and prepared to attack.

His word tensed Roy and the Hubo Twins, but the latter two were born fighters, and they followed Harud's lead and surrounded Keith from the sides.

"Begin." He gave them the go as soon as Roy took his position, and all four of them leapt at him at the same time, only to be sent flying away with a brutal spinning kick that spread bone-deep shocks throughout their bodies.

Ruru and Riku were the first to stand up again, but they were clearly wincing, and Harud forced himself to stand up despite the immense pain jolting through his torso. It helped that he was in the late stages of Nascent Profound Realm, and his Aura Defence around his limbs had helped him negate some force behind the attack.

Roy, however, was gasping for breath as he felt like he had broken a few ribs and tears were brimming out of his eyes as he groaned in agony.

He was the weakest of the four, who still had not formed his Aura Soul, so, it was justifiable why he took several minutes to get back on his feet.

"Your bones are fine," Keith spoke to him, and it helped Roy take his mind off the pain. "For now, at least." But the next words poured cold water over his determination to continue fighting.

The pain he had just experienced was much worse than anything Romeo had put him through.

Harud lept forward again after taking his time to catch his breath, and so did the Hubo Twins.

Keith was much gentler with them this time, but that did not mean that he did not make them suffer.

Perhaps, it was seeing how hard everyone was trying that Roy gritted his teeth and rushed forward as well, and this time, the pain he was made to suffer was barely tolerable.

The four youngsters kept fighting against Keith for as long as they could, and two hours later, Roy was unconsciously lying on the soft grass, and Harud, with his battered body, was sitting against the trunk of a tall tree, watching the Hubo Twins still fighting against Keith.

He was quite terrified in his heart after watching the monstrous enduring of the twins, who were still looking like they had a lot of fight left in them.

It was only six hours later when Roy opened his eyes again that the Hubo Twins finally fainted from exhaustion, and when the Child of Destiny looked at the solemn expression that Harud was wearing, he tried to guess what the boy was thinking about.

"They are Werewolves," Roy informed him, but his words did not bring any surprise to Harud.

"Yes, they are. But they are not normal."

The reply made Roy frown and again irked him a little that no other words followed, but Harud did not explain himself.

Of course, the young Mir knew that Werewolves existed, and he had even seen some. It was believed that a Werewolf was usually twice or thrice as strong as a Human Auror, but after what he had just witnessed, he was certain that Ruru and Riku were very special.

The two of them were also in the Nascent Profound Realm, in the Middle Stages, but both of them were, at least, five to six times stronger than him. Not to mention, they were a couple of years younger than him.

"You all performed as expected, and now you can get some rest," Keith said to them and then looked at Roy, who flinched under his gaze. "You will teach Harud the One-Fold Heart Pulse before you start recuperating yourself. And from tomorrow morning, your 150 days of Training will start. Be ready and be here on time."

After Keith left, Roy turned to look at Harud and found the boy looking back at him.

"How long did you survive?" He asked, and Harud frowned at his words.

"133 minutes." He said, and seeing Roy frown, he sighed. "I am from an Ancient Family, and unlike you, I have been training since I was five. Please don't be harsh on yourself and expect yourself to perform the same as me or Ruru and Riku. We are all different."

It was probably the most words the boy had spoken to him, and Roy smiled at them.

"I will catch up to you." He declared, only in fun, and Harud could tell.

"We shall see. Now, teach me One-Fold Heart Pulse." He asked, and the patience in his voice irked Roy again.

"Are you not excited?"

"I am." Harud nodded his head.

"Then show some!"

"No."

There was dead silence after his reply, and Roy begrudgingly began teaching him One-Fold Heart Pulse.

An hour later, seeing the boy already practising it, the Child of Destiny felt unwell in his heart. He could tell that Harud was way more talented than him, and at that moment, he recalled the words he had said earlier.

This time, he promised himself that he would indeed catch up to this boy at all costs.

If he was the worst student that Keith ever took, it would be a matter of great shame for him.
