You're My Only Star

Huo Yun Chen watched as Xia Yu walked to a certain distance and finally leaned her body on the car.

A helpless sigh escaped him and his gaze stayed on her for a long time.

This Xia Yu is a very strange person. One second he was very cold as if she did not care of anything. But a few seconds later, he could see her warm side.

He really could not understand this girl.

"Huo Yun Chen! Where are you?" His manager's voice reverberated in the car again. "Who is that person with you? Are you with a girl? Huo Yun Chen, you answer me now."

Huo Yun Chen rubbed the space between his brow, feeling an incoming headache. He tried not to press the phone to his ear and spoke, "Brother Xiang."

"You finally know to call me!" His manager shouted again. He took a deep breath to calm down and spoke again, "Huo Yun Chen, you should explain what is going on. How are you in A City? Who was that girl earlier? Wait. Huo Yun Chen, are you dating? Is this why you are so secretive?"

The manager let out a string of cursing words. He then complained how this celebrity would make his life difficult when he decided to date without informing him, the manager."

After hearing his manager rambling on for a full two minutes, Huo Yun Chen finally spoke, "Brother Xiang, it's not like that. You know that girl who I helped during President Lu's wedding banquet?"

It did not take too long for Brother Xiang to figure out the girl's identity. "The girl from the photo? Miss Xia?"

"Uh-huh. I came to A City to thank her for helping me."

There was a brief silence on Brother Xiang's part. "Yun Chen, are you familiar with Miss Xia? What exactly is your relationship with her?" He could hear from Huo Yun Chen's voice that there was something more to it.

Brother Xiang has been Huo Yun Chen's manager from the very beginning. He was the one who had discovered Huo Yun Chen and had decided to sign him. After spending a long time together, Brother Xiang could understand Huo Yun Chen more and less.

"Nothing."

"Don't tell me that it's nothing. I could sense that there is something."

He let out a cough and said, "Miss Xia is the nurse who looked after me while I was hospitalized a while ago. Coincidentally, she was also a good friend of Mrs. Lu."

"That's it?"

"Mhmm..." Huo Yun Chen did not plan to tell his manager that Miss Xia Yu happened to be his fan or his in-game marriage partner. He was worried that the man would misunderstand their relationship and make things difficult.

Brother Xiang was a good manager. However, he worried too much. Wasn't that how he was forced to stay in the hospital for a few days despite his not-so-serious injuries?

Huo Yun Chen took a deep breath. "Look, I did not expect that I would be in this position as well." He explained how his identity was exposed and was forced to listen to his manager's scolding for a few minutes.

It took Brother Xiang a long time to vent and finally calm down. In the end, everything has passed and there was nothing he could do about it. He could only make a plan to help Huo Yun Chen return to Capital City.

The two talked about half an hour before the call ended. Huo Yun Chen turned his head to look for Xia Yu and saw that she had her head lowered as she looked at his phone.

After a brief pause, Huo Yun Chen came out of the car and walked over to Xia Yu's side. As he approached her, he could hear the familiar music.

Xia Yu was playing games again.

He observed her from afar and saw her blowing some air to her hands and rubbing her arms to warm her body.

He has been sitting in the car and had not noticed the air outside. Moreover, Xia Yu had taken off her jacket and given it to him earlier. Suddenly, Huo Yun Chen felt bad.

He walked over to her side and draped the jacket on her shoulder, causing her to jump in surprise.

Xia Yu turned around. A few seconds later, her expression lightened up when he realized that it was Huo Yun Chen. "Are you done?"

"You should get in the car if it's too cold. Why are you staying out here?" The frown on his face deepened when he saw the look on her face.

"I didn't want to eavesdrop."

Huo Yun Chen pressed his lips into a thin line. His instinct told him that Miss Xia Yu can be a stubborn person.

"Get in. Don't forget that you're still a patient." Huo Yun Chen turned around and waited for her to enter the car.

Xia Yu hesitated before she walked around the car and finally slid into the driver's seat. She closed the door and breathed in relief, feeling the warm air around her. She turned to Huo Yun Chen and saw that he was watching her.

"You... what did your manager say?" Xia Yu asked.

"My manager said that I should stay still and he will send someone to pick me up." Huo Yun Chen flashed a smile at the person beside him. "In the meantime, Miss Xia Yu, I hope that you can look after me."

Xia Yu lowered her gaze. "Alright. I will wait with you until someone comes to get you. It's not like I have to rush and head to work anyway."

Her hand gripped the steering wheel tightly. Now that they were alone in her vehicle again, Xia Yu was suddenly at loss at what he should do. She did not even know where should she put her hands and feet.

"Were you playing 'Legends of the Sky'?"

It took her a while to respond. "Un. It has passed midnight. Since I got nothing to do, I decided to settle some daily quests."

His eyes flashed. "It's already past midnight?" He glanced at his phone and looked at Xia Yu again. "Then, how about we play the game together? Recently, I have been busy with works ad did not have time to complete a few missions. Shadow, how about helping me to clear some mission?"

Her heartbeat accelerated when he called her by her game ID name. It still felt unreal that Huo Yun Chen would know her identity as 'Shadow'. 

The two of them logged into the games together and started to do a few missions together.. As time passed by, the atmosphere between the two of them began to ease up.
