Chapter 207: Fast town evacuation and fear of rotten zombies

Having wiped out the enemy for the time being, the NPCs of the Adventurer's Guild became calm and began to take action to deal with the situation. First of all, it seems that each guild has a magic circle that can be used to transfer between guilds in case of emergency.

I open the warp gate and one by one, the townspeople begin to evacuate. Among them was the fishmonger's uncle and the nobleman who I had a cooking battle with. I thought he didn't like subraces?

Lily, Setia, Ruin-san and the others are praying. Don't you people have the grace to use Entrust!

There was no one to save me. As a result, I'm currently undergoing the torture of drinking 30 of the damnedest potions. Funny, isn't it? I'm supposed to be doing something good, so...why am I being tortured?

Then I got to the point where I could visually see the zombies.

Then there was a girl who attacked the zombies first. It was Hanabi-chan.

Hanabi-chan's dragon hands swing their claws down on the zombies and obliterate them. It's very powerful.

It sure is awesome...if the opponent isn't undead. The resurrected zombies grab Hanabi-chan's legs.

"Wh!? What, these guys!? Hi!? That's disgusting! Don't touch me! Raging Flames!"

The zombies that were touching Hanabi-chan were burning, but they wouldn't let go. Or rather, they are flocking. Then something strange happened to Hanabi-chan. She suddenly collapsed.

"Lily!"

"No close combat!"

What!? The older brother explains.

"Rotten zombies corrode everything they touch. Your clothes, your weapons, your body! Carbuncle!"

As Carbuncle flies through the air, his jewels glow and lasers shoot out, wiping out the zombies that had gathered around Hanabi. Carbuncle, it's strong.

"Hanabi!"

Takuma tried to get close to her, but the older brother stopped him.

"No, you can't! Even if you defeat a rotten zombie, it will spread the smell of decay and cause everything around it to rot!"

"That...but Hanabi!"

"Return her to her summon stone! Then immediately summon her again and heal her!"

Mirai was in charge of treating Hanabi-chan, so it should be okay. Even so, it's an extremely troublesome zombie.

There is one main street that leads to the Adventurer's Guild. There are two paths that lead to the Adventurer's Guild. First, we have to stop the two paths on the left and right of the main street. One of the paths was warded off by Wako. What to do about the rest.

When I was thinking about it, Setia made a suggestion.

"Takuto-sama, the Wood Bless can protect those around a tree from corrosion, what should we do?"

I had completely forgotten about that. There was such magic. When I looked at Mangetsu-san and the others, they bowed their heads. That will happen.

Meanwhile, the players are struggling. It seems that the shinto priest's purification magic has a range, but only some of the shinto priests who have been living in the ruins where the undead appeared during the event can use it.

And that range magic isn't wide enough. The mages have managed to stall the zombies, but it's only a temporary solution. The biggest problem was that close combat was blocked. Mangetsu-san and the others seem to be having a very difficult time. Even so, they didn't back down, which I thought was very impressive.

Thanks to everyone's hard work, the evacuation was somehow completed.

Mel and Rika say this, but the surviving rotten zombies start to boil. Apparently, the light didn't reach the zombies on the path.

The players hurriedly entered the warp gate and finally I and the paper fan's older brother entered the warp gate and the retreat was complete. That's when I got the info about clearing the quest.
