'Huh? A new feature?'

Lucas was not surprised at the actions of the commander and his soldiers; however, what surprsied him was a new system feature that unlocked because of their actions.

'Ding,

        The host has a town blessed by the heavens and it will be automatically linked to the town management feature. 

'Ding,

          The host is invincible in the town and he can suppress anyone in his town with a thought.

Just as he was about to reply to the commander, Lucas received another two system notifications that made him reveal a smile on his face.

After seeing the last system notification, Lucas knew he didn't have to summon the Shadow dragon to protect him from the commander. 

"Young man, what is so funny? Do we look like jokers to you?"

'Looks like there are multiple ways to unlock the new features for the system.'

Lucas silently made a mental note of it as he looked at Commander before replying in a calm tone, "Commander, didn't I already inform them not to touch the barrier? How is it my fault for their foolishness?"

"As for why I laughed, it was because a mighty royal commander was swayed by the words of a few cowardly leaders."

While saying that, Lucas shook his head.

'Damn it…why is he not showing any fear even when I released my full cultivation pressure?'

However, Commander Gill cursed Lucas as he still didn't understand how Lucas was still unaffected by the pressure emitted by him and his entire battalion.

'Is there an expert behind it? That must be it; otherwise, how can his family be blessed by the heavens just like that?'

As a royal commander, Gill was doing his job of making the newly ranked families swear their allegiance to the royal family; he knew a few things about the blessing of the heavens.

Since the Hellmore family was directly promoted to Viscount grade, Commander Gill knew there was something powerful in the Hellmore family.

'No matter how powerful that expert is, he is not a match for the royal family. Anyway, I will play a safe game until I find out the strength of that expert.'

With that thought in his mind, Commander Gill retracted his aura as he replied to Lucas, "As a righteous commander, I could not control my anger when I saw the death of the fellow humans. You are right, those men were obviously idiots."

While saying that, Commander Gill scoffed at the leaders of the families and the guilds while nodding his head at Lucas.

"Letting you traitors enter my town for some discussions is already a huge favour I am doing. So, shut your mouths and keep quiet until I ask you to speak."

Seeing that the Commander Gill retracted his aura, Lucas looked at the leaders of the families and the guilds before saying those words.

'You'

They were very angry with Lucas' words; however, they suppressed their anger and decided to wait until the Commander and his soldiers left the town.

Even though they didn't know exactly why a royal battalion entered the Silverstone town, they could more or less guess the reason and it was making the Hellmore family a subsidiary family of the royal family.

If that happens, even if Lucas killed them, the royal family will close their eyes. So, they suppressed their anger and decided to see how the discussions between the Hellmore family and Commander Gill would go before making their move.

'Family head, what is happening?'

Just as Lucas and others moved a couple hundred or so meters away from the town entrance when Lucas heard a familiar voice that anxiously asked him.

"Old Bernard?"

Lucas was surprised with the timely appearance of Bernard who was tasked with a mission.

Nevertheless, he gave permission to the old man to enter the barrier as he easily passed through the barrier without any problem.

'Tong tong tong'

Bernard was riding a rank 4 black horse and as soon as he reached Lucas, he hurriedly jumped off the horse and stood in front of Lucas.

Because he thought Lucas was in some kind of trouble.

"Commander Gill, he is my family guardian, Bernard. Old man Bernard, he is Commander Gill."

Before the old man could tell anything, Lucas introduced Bernard and Commander Gill to one another.

They nodded their heads at each other with the thoughts only they knew.

"Commander, let's talk inside the manor."

Soon, Lucas and Commander enter the Raindrop manor along with a few selected members from both sides.

Lucas brought Bernard, Beck, Reece and Harper whereas Commander Gill brought 10 elite soldiers from his battalion.

As for the leaders and vice leaders of the families and the guilds were asked to wait in the waiting hall until Lucas finished his discussions with the Commander.

"Can I know the reason for your visit, Commander?"

Once they settled in their seats, Lucas asked the commander in a calm tone that was neither respectful nor rude.

'This brat is arrogant just with the support of an injured tier 5 lesser knight?'

Commander Gil raised his brows for a moment before saying out, "It is for your family."

"For my family?"

Lucas frowned hearing the commander's reply.

"Yes. Since your Hellmore family is blessed with a rank by the heavens, it is the duty of the royal family to support your family and develop it by providing the required resources."

"Not only will you get the required resources but you will also receive a steady annual income of 10000 gold coins with the exception of all kinds of taxes to the royal family."

In a single breath, Commander Gill replied to all the benefits he would gain from the royal family just for becoming a ranked family.

"However, I don't think it is that easy to get all these benefits, right? There must be some kind of condition."

There is no free lunch in the world and Lucas knew about it more than anything. So, he asked about the condition.

"It is not that hard; instead, it is very easy."

Commander Gill shook his head before saying, "Your Hellmore family has to swear your allegiance to the royal family."
